Petroglyph Trail, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM
4/18/2026 Petroglyph Trail, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - I used to have a good luck T-shirt, I wore many times and found many petroglyphs, which I purchased at the Chaco Culture National Historical Park. Main perpose to visited this park was to purchase couple of T-shirts. I hope those new T-shirts will bring many good lucks, I am excited.

South Mesa Trail, Chaco CNHP, NM
4/19/2026 South Mesa Trail, Chaco CNHP, NM - I was hoping to see some petroglyphs; unfortunately, no petroglyphs were found. The trail was a hike up at the beginning. In one spot, the trail was very narrow, so I had to hike sideways and drop the backpack to go through. Sooner reached the Tsin Kletzin Ruin, Which standing higher side of the top mesa. How to get water and food was my initial question. Not far after that, the trail went down and reached the ground lever. At that time saw a beautiful, colourful, and long-tailed lizard. He posed for me, and no sign of running away made my day!

Wijiji, Chaco CNHP, NM
4/19/2026 Wijiji, Chaco CNHP, NM - Flat dirt road is the Wijiji trail. 1.5 miles to reach the ruin and an additional .5 mile to reach the RA site. There are both petroglyphs and pictographs in combination. One side is the beautiful cliff wall all the way, wished I could hike by the cliff wall.

Four Ye’l, Dinetah, NM
4/21/2026 Four Ye’l, Dinetah, NM - I didn’t know the exact location of this panel. I wore my new lucky T-shirt today and found it. The Four Ye’l panel is located in the middle of one of the short canyons. There are not only the Four Ye’l panel, but I also a few more petroglyph panels along the way on the south face cliff walls. Today was a good day!

Margarita Martinez Homestead, Dinetah, NM
4/21/2026 Martinez Homestead, Dinetah, NM - It is located on the Tafoya Canyon Road. The base of the buildings is still standing, but no roofs. Seems to be a duplex rather than a single-family house. A boulder is a part of the house that is unique to it. There are nice cliff walls surrounding the house, but no petroglyphs.

Deer Panel, Dinetah, NM
4/23/2026 Deer Panel, Dinetah, NM - #379 Roadside Deer Panel is visible from the road. A long metal pipe is sticking up for the entire cliff wall that hard to miss. I assume that the pipe is carrying gas or oil, but I don’t know exactly. There are at least 25 sheep in this panel.

Roadside Panel (I), Dinetah, NM
4/24/2026 Roadside Panel (I), Dinetah, NM - These are two separate areas of the roadside panels on a small side road. One panel is old, and another one is not so old. The figure of old panels are familier figure in the Dinetah.

Roadside Panel (II), Dinetah, NM
4/25/2026 Roadside Panel (II), Dinetah, NM - #379 is one of the main roads in Dinetah. I found a couple of busy petroglyph panels. Looks like people are keeping adding figures, which means old and not old figures in one panel.

Petroglyph Rock Loop Trail, Rio Chama, NM
4/26/2026 Petroglyph Rock Loop Trail, Rio Chama, NM - There is no sign for this trail or the RA site location. Hiked up to the power line road till the top of the mountain, then followed the faded and narrow hiking trail. When the trail meets the canyon bed, where petroglyph rocks are located. I return the same way I’ve hiked. I didn’t do the loop trail, but the loop trail is available. It is a busy petroglyphs panel, even I can’t guess what it looks like, but I like it.

John Dunn Bridge, Arroyo Hondo, NM
4/27/2026 John Dunn Bridge, Arroyo Hondo, NM - Narrow dirt road side, where petroglyphs exist. However, many fast-moving cars make dusty conditions, it’s dangerous to hike on the road, so I gave up on finding petroglyphs. The bridge area is a beautiful area, many people enjoy the Rio Grande river, even parking is a challenge.

Petaca Point Trail, Taos, NM
4/28/2026 Petaca Point Trail, Taos, NM - About one mile from the trailhead, there is a dry reservoir. No sign, but go east, cross the dry reservoir. There is a short, deep canyon at the end of the canyon, and the view is breathtaking. In this rocky short canyon, petroglyphs are here and there. All petroglyphs are on the south face of the north side cliff walls.

Blue Dot Trail, Los Alamos, NM
4/29/2026 Blue Dot Trail, Los Alamos, NM - This hike is a combination of the two trails, Blue Dot Trail and River Trail. Petroglyphs are located on the River Trail. Atop of the largest boulder in the area, petroglyphs are located. There is no way to climb up the boulder. At that time an idea came out, climb up the tree branch that is adjacent to the boulder, then hop up to the top of the boulder. I still can’t believe I could do that kind thing. I got much better photos, I'm happy.

North Cienega, Santa Fe, NM
4/30/2026 North Cienega, Santa Fe, NM - It was confusing where the TH was. There is no sign, and many roads, and I can’t see the canyon, all flat. Followed one of the roads; lucky enough that the road went through a canyon. The petroglyph site is a large flatter cliff wall, but petroglyphs are not there. It is located on the sides of the walls; there are at least four petroglyph panels, and all those are very clear figures. Today was a good day!
