Music Panel, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/1/2025 Music Panel, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - Large boulder spread into two boulders, and petroglyphs are located between boulders. Not enough space to take photos of the petroglyphs, so that I climbed up and took photos from top of the smaller boulder. Long size holizontial lines just like music note lines.

County Road G (I), Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/1/2025 County Road G, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - This site located road side of the couty road G. Many people drive too fast around here, very dainger to take photos from the road. Some petroglyphs are not so old, seems to keep adding, there are old petroglyphs too between new ones.

Sand Canyon Pueblo, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/2/2025 Sand Canyon Pueblo, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - This pueblo is not fancy at all and not much to see, stack up rocks here and there. There are drawing boads to show what use to be, but difficult to recognize it. I believe this pueblo didn’t last longe because each room is not so comfortable design. However this area is very quiet.

Visitor Center, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/3/2025 Visitor Center, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - This visitor center is also museum. Visitor center is miles away from actual Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, because visitor center built before made National Monument, which not make sense to me, but goverment thing, I didn’t argure with them. Canyon of the Ancient National Monument is 25 year old this year.

Ruin, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/3/2025 Ruin, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - I was looing for the Strowman Panel, which my perpose to came to see it in this Canyon of the Ancient National Monument. Yesterday I tried from south side but road was blocked by large tree, seems to not using this road for years. Today tried from north side, but blocked by a large dry water falls. I don’t know how to approach it. Visitor Center didn’t tell me how. Anyway, just before the dry water falls, I found this ruin, no information listed. Many crambled rocks and two brick walls are still standing, one wall is standing edge of the cliff.

Canyon of the Ancient Guest Ranch, CO
9/6/2025 Canyon of the Ancient Guest Ranch, CO - I met very friendly a couple, Garry and Ming, where I stopped by and asked the rock art site which they have posted in the Internet. They are authores of the 'Spirit of the stone' book, and Garry is enjoying rock art for 50 years. They have 2,000 acres of land with cows, sheeps, chickens and vegetable gardens beside the guest houses.

Gathering Panel, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/7/2025 Gathering Panel, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - Garry gave us tour and first stop was this Gathering Panel(Kay named it) in the private property. Seems to this place was gathering place that the why many human figures on the petroglyphs wall. Garry was picking watermelon from the watermelon patch and told me which is ready to pick.

County Road G (II), Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/7/2025 County Road G (II), Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - Garry tock us to the Ruin area, hike up to the higher side and see some rock art. This place is little east from the County Road G (I).

Sky Kiva Sky Village, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/7/2025 Sky Kiva Sky Village, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - Newly constructed two guest houses. Outside and inside both very modern buldings and many details oriented with the rock art in nice way. Kiva house is trib people gather to have a celemony and dance. Those two houses are just like Japan style, remove shoes at the entrance. I believe they, Garry and Ming, are living in Fantacy, but pay the price which means, they work all day and every day. /td>

White Bird Shelter, Canyonland National Park, UT
9/9/2025 White Bird Shelter, Canyonland National Park, UT - Pictographs are very nice, there are many hand figures and human figures. However there is no clear trail exist and bushwalking in over growing weeds with dense and avoiding dead skiny tree branches, just like small jungle walk. I don’t recommended anyone to go there. I don’t know why National Park doesn't make a nice hiking trail.

Big Men Panel, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO
9/11/2025 Big Men Panel, Cross Canyon, Canyon of the Ancient National Monument, CO - Actual location is CO/UT border and slightly UT side. Two big men standing side by side and one more little lower side on higher side of the cliff wall. There are many nice rocks, boulders and cliff walls for RA, wish spend a few days to hike around.

Under the Cloud Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT
9/11/2025 Under the Cloud Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT - When I got at the TH, it was hot and don’t want to hike up the steep hill. Can’t see detail of RAs with necked eyes, but I took photos from bottom of the hill, and can see detail of the RAs on the photos, so that this arrangement works.

Cowboy Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT
9/11/2025 Cowboy Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT - 12.5 miles from the Hatch Trading Post, on Montezuma Canyon Rd and turn into the side road, soon panel is right. I saw this panel before but at that time I thought it is not so old, I felt like graffiti, I skipped. But not at this time, Jim mentioned me, so that I came here and took photos, now it is on my record. /td>

Full House Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT
9/11/2025 Full House Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT - Picture not came out nicely because I took photos from the bottom of the steep hill. I didn’t want to hike up because too hot outside. But sort of what looks like about RA figures. Yes I am getting lazy every year.

Riding Desert Sheep Panel, Hanksville Area, UT
9/14/2025 Riding Desert Sheep Panel, Hanksville Area, UT - The dirt road from highway 24, up and up to the top of the flat mesa, and RA site is located on the higher side, turn pole number 9204, short drive and short hike to the RA site. The busy panel is not a large panel, rather short and wider, but enough to enjoy the RA.

Counting Panel, Hanksville Area, UT
9/14/2025 Counting Panel, Hanksville Area, UT - Location is not far from the Riding Desert Sheep Panel, only a few mails away, turn pole number 0931. One of the panel is like chaotic, I don’t fully understand it. Counting panels are fading out but barely can see the standing lines that counting figures, I guess. There are many more nice cliff walls for RA around here, I wish hike around is a just dream.

Bloody Hands Panel, near Capitol Reef National Park, UT
9/14/2025 Bloody Hands Panel, near Capitol Reef National Park, UT - Nearly 5 miles of hike to see the seven hand prints that worth it? My answer is No, unless nothing to do. I guess, I’m the one of nothing to do person, hike up to see it. There is nothing other than hand prints. I have hiked little longer because I thought the site is located ground/river bed level, actutually it is located middle layer, higher than ground level and lower than top mesa. Nice view area that helped me a lot.

Dirty Devil River, UT
9/15/2025 Dirty Devil River, UT - Only way to reach the Dirty Devil River is from the Angel Point that a long steep downhill, then hike river side, if a trail does exist, there are 2 RA sites. All day hike or over night hike, it is long hike that I can see it from the top of the mesa and changed my mine, I don’t want to go. I took some around here photos.

Iron Wash, San Rafael Swell, UT
9/16/2025 Iron Wash, San Rafael Swell, UT - Some days are good days, and some days are bad, today was bad day for me. I had two waypoints for RA, first one was a gimmick, nothing there and one mile before second one there is a wire fence to stop anyone go through. Ended up 6 miles of dry wash hike under the hot weather then with empty handed. If this is not bad day, then what’s bad day?

Dry Canyon South, Nine Mile Canyon, UT
9/18/2025 Dry Canyon South, Nine Mile Canyon, UT - Drive on the Dry Canyon Road south, not too long, there are some pictographs by the road, then a few miles down the road, there is a nice petroglyphs site. Near this petroglyphs site, there is a bonus, an another good busy petroglyphs panel to enjoy.

Nine Mile Road Side, UT
9/19/2025 Nine Mile Road Side, UT - I came here to find the Worrier Ridge in Nine Mile Canyon, but I don’t have a right waypoint, estimated place was wrong, I couldn’t find it. Oh well... next time. I had extra time, stopped by some petroglyphs sites, those are I’ve been few times.

Price Museum, UT
9/19/2025 Price Museum, UT - This museum is also the visitor center in Price. This museum covers extensively the dinosaurs and not much about the rock art, petroglyphs and pictographs. I didn’t walk around much, just took a few photos. There is a city hall in other side of the same building.

Red Ledges, Diamond Fork Rd, UT
9/20/2025 Red Ledges, Diamond Fork Rd, UT - This is an amazing place by all red color rocks/boulders/cliffwalls, just only this area. I saw overcrowded peole standing in the parking area, stopped by to find it out. There is a rock climbing training and all people are perticiipants, and waiting to start training. I never know rock climbing is so popular, even young people around 10 years old are excited to climb up the large rock.

Stansbury Bay, Great Salt Lake, UT
9/20/2025 >Stansbury Bay, Great Salt Lake, UT - Nearly north end of the Stanbury Island, there is a bay that the public can enjoy walking on the salt beach, not sand beach. At the edge of the salt beach by the salt water, salt water seems to pink that attract many visitors. I think some kind bacteria is growing, but I didn’t tell to anyone. A good thing is no one swiming.

Desert Mountain RA, near Delta, UT
9/21/2025 Desert Mountain RA, near Delta, UT - Black rocks are so shiny, looks like someone polished with wax. Rock art quality is not so good, especially on the shiny rock surface, very hard to take photos. There are many black rocks all over around here, maybe we can find many more rock art.

Oak Creek, Oak City, UT
9/22/2025 Oak Creek, Oak City, UT - It is a small red pigment pictographs panel. All rocks colors are mixed brown, light brown, black and more, easy to miss this red pigment pictographs. I am glad I found it.

Fool Creek, Oak City, UT
9/23/2025 Fool Creek, Oak City, UT - I had only the information of the rock art site was "2-3 miles from the gate left side", there is not gate, maybe entrance of the National Forest. Started hiking because it is ATV road, sooner at "Y", took left, contenue hiking, during a break, Travas was coming on his ATV and I asked and he gave me a ride. He dropped me off at mile 3. There is no RA, I was disappointed, then hike dow to go back, not a long, Travas came down and gave me a ride, then he took me to the righr RA site. Finally I gat photos of RA. Thank you Travas to gave me a ride and bring me to the right place.

Water Tank, Black Rock, UT
9/24/2025 Water Tank, Black Rock, UT - There are much more petroglyphs than I expected in this area, I am keep finding. I was wondering where the road goes, I hope I can find more rock art sites. Started to hike on the road, at end of the road, there is a small water tank for animals. Unfortunately no rock art site found. From the end of the road, bushwharking to next redge then found another rock art site at the same time found the road. The road is closed for moterized vehecles, the sign is so small easy to miss it.

North Central, Black Rock, UT
9/25/2025 North Central, Black Rock, UT - Nearly discovered new rock art site for me, I was excited to spend time to enjoy finding it. There are many petroglyphs I found, especially one site is very strong carved petroglyphs, like never fade.

Lava Ridge, UT
9/26/2025 Lava Ridge, UT - Found one faded out petroglyphs site in the Lava Ridge. Lava Ridge and Paxton Corral are side by side, a road between. Hike from the water tank in the Lava Ridge, Paxton Ridge and couple more ridges, bushwhacking total 3.7 miles of black rock ridge. Most concentration of the petroglyphs are Paxton corral area.

Paxton Corral, UT
9/26/2025 Paxton Corral, UT - I have been here before, at that time, I climb up the boulders, a means up and down the slopes. However at this time, I just stay on the ground level and took photos that I can see it. Am I lazy or getting old or both?

Twin Peak Roadside, UT
9/27/2025 Twin Peak Roadside, UT - Originally I thought there are petroglyphs on the rocks, but quality of rock is different here. There are many cave like holes, it’s not so deep, creepy way to melted rock likes. I feel not comfort and didin’t check most of the inside caves.
Z

Central Black Rock, UT
9/28/2025 Central Black Rock, UT - Wanted to ecplore in this area, today is the day. There is a faded road that used to built the wire fence. The road is not using anymore and not drivable. Hiked on this road for little over one mile, I found some petroglyphs, I am happy for the result even not many.

Historical Stone Corral, UT
9/30/2025 Historical Stone Corral, UT - Stack up the boulders/stones that digged it from the ground which showing the white color, used for the corral. I’m not sure it is still using it or not because there is no gate to keep animal in it.

Obsidian Beds, UT
9/30/2025 Obsidian Beds, UT - Black and looks like wet surface of the small rocks are all over where mine is near by. Obsidian has very sharp edge that used to made arrowhead long time ago.
