Big Rocks, NV

10/2/2025 Big Rocks, NV - Stopped by the Caliente Field Office to ask the detail but they closed by Federal Budget Cut. I found the area by background of the someone’s photo, but can’t find the petroglyphs rock/boulder. Last photo of this list is what I’m looking for, which I took it from the kiosk panel.


Weepah Road, White River Narrows Archaeological District, NV
10/2/2025 Weepah Road, White River Narrows Archaeological District, NV - The gate has a malfunction, open just I can go through but not for my car, so that left my car outside the gate and hiked. I found couple places for many petroglyphs, one is the parking area and one is father hike up and entrance of the small canyon. Today was a good day for me.


Black Canyon, Pahranagod National Wildlife Refuge, NV
10/4/2025 Black Canyon, Pahranagod National Wildlife Refuge, NV - Gate was open today, usually allways closed. The trail and stop and sit to enjoy natural areas are nicely organized, and modern design. I have hiked one loop and found many nice petroglyphs. Amazing thing is most petroglyphs are located very high up and not easy to reach area.


Bald Mountain Wash, NV
10/5/2025 Bald Mountain Wash, NV - Very quiet area, I was not sure the road is ATV road or not, so that I’ve hiked 5 miles round trip. At the site, there is a sign to explain in this area and rock art boulder. The boulder has petroglyphs on three faces, some of are old and some of are not so old.

International Car Forest of the Last Church, Goldfield, NV

10/6/2025 International Car Forest of the Last Church, Goldfield, NV - This car forest site is the final destination of the some used cars. Most cars are head or tail down and stick into the ground, all cars are painted out with bright color. A good idea of the usage of the un-used cars.

South of Chalfant Valley RA, CA

10/7/2025 South of Chalfant Valley RA, CA - There is a road to reach the site, but I have missed it, so that hike to the top of the cliff and hike down to reach the bottom of the dry creek site. There is not much petroglyphs and not comfortable area, because top of the cliff rocks are stable and ready to come down at any time.


Stone Columns, Crowley Lake, CA
10/8/2025 - Stone Columns, Crowley Lake, CA - Amazing unusual phenomenon of the stone columns, not all columns are straight up, some of are 45 degree angles. This place is located nice California mountains view of north side of the Crowley Lake, boat or drive the car to reach. Beach rocks are part of the stone columns.


Charlie’s Butte, CA
10/10/2025 Charlie’s Butte, CA - It is a small hill covered with black rocks all over the hill. The Owen’s River runs next to this hill. People using this hill for the Geo Caching. Found some petroglyphs but all fading out.


Three Brothers RA, Alabama Hill, CA
10/10/2025 Three Brothers RA, Alabama Hill, CA - Finding the three brother was easy but not RA. Suddenly Fernando appears and took us to the pictographs site. I can tell some red line, but not understanding the full figure.

Walker Lake, NV

10/14/2025 Walker Lake, NV - It is a large lake surrounding by mountain ranges. Water color was green, that depending by location of the sun or time. It was cold, snow top near by tall mountains, but beautiful. There is no boat to enjoy water activities.


Lone Grapevine Springs RA, Red Rock Canyon, NV
10/17/2025 Lone Grapevine Springs RA, Red Rock Canyon, NV - Petroglyphs are scattering all around, finding one at a time is time conserming. I met Nick, he pointed out many petroglyphs that helped me finding it. Nice day and nice Red Rock Canyon view.


Yellow Plug RA, Goodsprings, NV
10/18/2025 Yellow Plug RA, Goodsprings, NV - I didn’t have an information of the exact location of the RA. The road was ATV road. Started hiking and saw the yellow crop and found many petroglyphs there. However trees and bushes over grown and couldn’t take photo easily some spots.


Keyhole Canyon Archaeological Site, NV
10/19/2025 Keyhole Canyon Archaeological Site, NV - When I was here at last time, years ago, I was very upset because my camera stopped working. Since that I wanted to re-visit this place. I found some pictographs but not many, mainly petroglyphs. At the entrance area there are many petroglyphs, some of are very high up. At the end of the short canyon, there is a white dry waterfall. If water runs, it is a beautiful waterfall.

Kingman RA, Northern Av, AZ

10/20/2025 Kingman RA, Northern Av, AZ - It is a short distance from the Stockton Hill Rd, but road condition is like ATV road. Parked car outside the wire fence and started to hike. There are some spray painted graffiti. I found petroglyphs here and there.

Petrified Forest National Park, AZ

10/29/2025 Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - The park is officially closed by goverment shutdown. However we can hike outer boundary of the park, that I did it today to enjoy no-one around hike, and hopefully to find the rock art. Unfortunately I couldn›t find any rock arts but enjoyed beautiful park.
