This area surrounding by the private properties, I have a permission to pass it.

Jake Hill, Carrizozo Area, NM
11/6/2025 Jake Hill, Carrizozo Area, NM - From south, to reach the hill, pass the private property, got a permit from the owner. A difficulty is very rocky slope to hike up to reach the panel. Petroglyphs are located higher side of the cliff walls, it is nice view, and highway and railroad are not too far.

Villas Canyon, NM
11/17/2025 Villas Canyon, NM - Followed the old road, but still rocky road to hike. I’ve visited two RA sites, one is just before the Villas Canyon, another one is in the Villas Canyon. There are three more RA waypoints in the Villas Canyon I have, but canyon is too much me to go through, I should try other way next time.

Gila Lower Box, NM
11/16/2025 Gila Lower Box, NM - There is not much trail to hike in the Gila Lower Box. Found one trail to goes down to the Gila River. Near the Gila River, there are many large size trees, easy to hide behind trees and bushes. I was not comfortable when I saw a jacket that illegal immigrant left. It is hunting season, hunters hiding some place. Anyway this place is not good for solo hiker.

Canador Peak, Gila Lower Box, NM
11/17/2025 Canador Peak, Gila Lower Box, NM - I don’t believe RA site is located at the top of the peak, where car can’t go up anymore because too steep, hike up for short distance to reach the RA site. There are many petroglyphs all over the rocky area.

Bill Evans Lake, NM
11/18/2025 Bill Evans Lake, NM - This is a man-made lake for the source of water for Tyrone New Mexico. It is located higher side of the mountain range, quiet area and few fishermen enjoy fishing.
