Puerco River East, PFNP, AZ
12/9/2025 Puerco River East, PFNP, AZ - Arizona weather is sunny and sunshine for at least the next couple of weeks, while northern US states are under the snow. National Parks are open for business again, having been closed for a while due to a government budget cut. Today, I enjoyed finding petroglyphs in the Puerco River area of Petrified Forest National Park.

Christmas Parade, Holbrook, AZ
12/13/2025 Christmas Parade, Holbrook, AZ - After sunset, the main street and side roads were closed, and the parade began. The audiences are packed on both sides of the street, waiting 1-2 hrs. I never see so many people in this passing town. All parade vehicles are decorated with lights. There are all kinds of vehicles, other than passenger cars, including pickup trucks, tow trucks, semi-trucks, and construction trucks. Overall, everyone enjoyed it.

12/15/2025 Puerco Ridge, AZ - Just outside of the Petrified Forest National Park, and south of the Black Knoll. I’m looking for one perticular petroglyph that by the red top mounts and father back is white rock area. Around here, there are red top mounts, unfortunately no white rock back ground. Weather is extremely nice in December, enjoyed hiking.
