Russel’s Tank, AZ
9/29/2024 Russel’s Tank, AZ - There is no water, even I don't know exactly where is the tank. I couldn't find RAs at the tank area, however about 500ft down the same Partridge Creek, there are RAs. Uniqueness is not RA on the cliff walls, it is on the flat top of the rock that located atop of the cliff, a short hike up to enjoy the RAs.

Inscription Point, AZ
9/28/2024 Inscription Point, AZ - Dirt road was in a good condition all the way to the RA site. Near the RA site, there is a cemetary, locals visiting there at time to time. I didn’t go to the Little Colorado River, but it is near the RA site. There are many boulders, and part of the boulder is black that the RA panels are located. I enjoyed many RA panels.

Two Guns Ruins, Arizona
9/27/2024 Two Guns Ruins, AZ - Between Flagstaff and Winslow, on the south side of the I-40, there are many stone house ruins by the Canyon Diablo, which is a beautiful and dry canyon. The Apache Death Cave is located not far from one of the ruins, unfortunately it is not accessible.

The Lower Zuni River Archeological District, Day 3, AZ
9/20/2024 The Lower Zuni River Archeological District, Day 3, AZ - Today I’ve hiked the northeast side of the Zuni River. The northwest has sunny most of the day and does not many trees, however, the northeast has more trees and becomes sunny around noon or later. I found petoglyphs but not as much as found in the northwest.

The Lower Zuni River Archeological District, Day 2, AZ
9/19/2024 The Lower Zuni River Archeological District, Day 2, AZ - Continue to hike the northwest side of the Zuni River. The river wash is large in size, some segment is a quarter mile long. There are small spring water running in three separate areas, however Zuni River is bone dry. The Lower Zuni River Archeological District is located in two states, Arizona and New Mexico. I found some more unique petroglyphs today.

The Lower Zuni River Archeological District, Day 1, AZ
9/18/2024 The Lower Zuni River Archeological District, Day1, AZ - I was wondering how come so many nice petroglyphs in this area? After a short research, I found this area called The Lower Zuni River Archeological District. I never heard of but that makes sense. It is a large area, and it is impossible to cover it all in one or two days. Not only large in size but also surrounded by private properties. Last time I had to turn back because of a lack of drinking water, today I carried an extra water bottole and contenude to hike. There are many petroglyphs panels on the river walls, and this area never disappoints me.

Zuni River RA, AZ
9/14/2024 Zuni River, AZ - I had a jackpot today. When I stopped my car at the side of the dirt road to figure out how to get to my destination, a couple stopped by and asked me "Are you lost?" and after a chat with them. They had a good idea of where to go, and they told me to follow them. When reach the point, where there are rocks all over, I can spend months around here to find RA. When hiked south faced Zuni River, I found petroglyphs after petroglyphs higher side of the cliff walls, just like Christmas in September. I turn back because no more drink water. Today was a very good day!

Ceadro Spring, AZ
9/13/2024 Ceadro Spring, AZ - Spring cool water keeps coming from the small shed. This is an abandoned place, three buildings are totally not habitable and deteriorate badly. If extra few million dollars, this is a perfect place for a getaway resort to relax.

Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area Hike, AZ
9/12/2024 Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area, AZ - Sunny day and cool morning, nice day to hike. I was searching for rock art, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I heard of at least three rock art sites in this area. Oh well...I need to see more detailed information from the Internet.

Little Colorado River East Hike, AZ
9/10/2024 Little Colorado River East Hike, AZ - I’ve hiked the same area to yesterday, only opposite side of the Little Colorado River, which is the public land. The first stop was the Sheep on the Rcker site. It is very clearly carved petroglyphs and saw from the east side atop the cliff walls. The second stop was a little more south, there were sheep on the rocker also, and some more petroglyphs on the west side of the cliff walls. Overall it was a short hike and enjoyed the petroglyphs.

Little Colorado River West Hike, AZ
9/9/2024 Little Colorado River West Hike AZ - On the west side of the Little Colorado River between Holbrook and Woodruff, which is in the private propety, the landowner gave me permission to hike today to look down the east side of the cliff walls. It has a beautiful creek and cliff walls, unfortunately, the Tamarisk Trees took over the entire river bed, and impossible to hike the river bed. That’s why I’ve hiked atop the cliff walls. I found some petroglyphs at the starting point, but no more rock art to be found. Around 10am, the temperature started to rise, and carrying drinking water became hot water at noon.

Washboard Wash, AZ
9/6/2024 Washboard Wash, Little Colorado River, AZ - Arizona Summer, it is harsh than I expected, no outside activities, people are dying for hiking, not kidding. Maricopa County which is one of the 15 counties in Arizona, reported over 600 people die with excess heat in this year. I waited a long time for the temperature to come down since June. I couldn’t wait any longer, today is the day to restart hiking. The landowner kindly let me explore the Washboard Wash on his property. This canyon is larger than I expected and many trees and bushes on both sides of the wash. Lucky enough I saw petroglyphs between trees higher up the cliff walls. It is very nice petroglyphs but I don’t know how to get up there and carved it. I didn’t stay outside longer because it was still a hot temperature outside.
