Pioneer Museum, New River, AZ
10/27/2024 Pioneer Museum, New River, AZ - Currently many constructions going on for Christmas decorations. Even closed many areas by construction, the trail is 1-2 miles long. Many old buildings were relocated and reconstructed from another place. Chrismas time, this place is booming with many decorations and attractions.

Cline Creek RA, AZ
10/26/2024 Cline Creek RA, AZ - There are beautiful Saguaro Cactus around here. The RA location is a small mountain top that front of a large mountain. There are many large mountains around here and ATV people enjoy the scenery.

Lake Pleasant North, AZ
10/22/2024 Lake Pleasant North, AZ - Very disappointed today, I have a few waypoints of the RAs, but could not find even one. I hiked on the bone-dry Agua Fria River bed that north of Lake Pleasant. I was worried about Lake Pleasant will dry up pretty soon.

Antelope Falls, AZ
10/20/2024 Antelope Falls, AZ - This area is west side of the highway I-17. Amazing view from highway #95 that standing on highway #95 and looking up east, there are miles of the mountain range like 1,000ft high, atop of this mountain range, there is highway I-17 runs it. Anyway, this area is an ATV trail all over. Around the Antelope Falls are no water, all dry and RAs are on the tiny rock pile in front of the falls. At the back of the large straight-up cliff walls are no RA, I think that the best place to have RAs.

Baby Canyon Pueblo, Agua Frea National Monument, AZ
10/19/2024 Baby Canyon Pueblo, Agua Fria National Monument, AZ - When I saw RA information about the Baby Canyon Pueblo, I missed most of it, so I visited again. However, I didn't miss much because lichen takes over and most RAs are faded out. I guess information from the Internet is too old and never updated it. Not many visitors to this Baby Canyon Pueblo because not many people hike nowaday.

Woo Ranch, Sedona, AZ
10/13/2024 Woo Ranch, Sedona, AZ - This is a strange place, I guess the government owns this place and no trespassing sign, there were many footprints and established hiking trails toward to the RA sites. There is set up a camera to minitor the vandalism of the RA site, just like the Loy Canyon RA site. The red sheep panel is a famous pictograph panel, which I really wanted to see it. Besides the red pigment, there are white, black and rare gray pigments used. Red rock formation in this place is breathtaking.

Honanki Heritage Site, Sedona, AZ
10/11/2024 Honanki Heritage Site, Sedona, AZ - This is a popular destination, I saw 6 pink jeeps on the parking lot, which is tour company jeeps. This place has many ruins by the side of tall cliff walls, and some pictographs. When started to hike from the parking lot, ruins are not visible, it is visible when close enough.

Loy Canyon, Sedona, AZ
10/11/2024 Loy Canyon, Sedona, AZ - The RA location is under the humongous red rock cliff, can’t see the top of the cliff from it, away from it then can’t see the bottom by dense of trees and bushes. There are many pictographs about 300 fts range, white, red, and black are the dominant colors, but some of are between. I met three ladies and three dogs, one time a dog barked to tell us there is a bear. Yes, there is a bear in Sedona.

Salida Gulch, Prescott, AZ
10/10/2024 Salida Gulch, Prescott, AZ - The trail #95 is a loop, at the starting point of the loop, go left that the shortest way to reach the petroglyphs site. The petroglyph panels are located the side of the trail, not easy to miss it. It is a nice mountainside trail, many people enjoy hiking here.

Petroglyph Rock, Prescott, AZ
10/9/2024 Petroglyph Rock, Prescott, AZ - It is a small area located middle of the residential area. There is a trail and follow the white circle mark, and gets out the trail in no time, trail is very short and doesn’t tell you where is RAs. Look up the higher side of the boulder pile to find the petroglyphs. Every house, nice houses, deals with rock/boulder that natural way around here.

Williamson Valley, AZ
10/8/2024 Williamson Valley, AZ - It is nice to be hike on the trail, which I didn’t do for while. It’s beautiful mountain with tons of boulders all over. The shelter where petroglyphs are located, is large in size, a dozen people can dance in it. The flat boulder atop of the shelter where petrogllyphs are located.

Stillman Lake, Chino Valley, AZ
10/7/2024 Stillman Lake, Chino Valley, AZ - Yesterday, I was looking for how to hike down to the bottom of the river and couldn’t find the way. Find the gate that the key to the trail goes to the bottom of the Verde River, the cliff is very tall around here. I am so glad I found the trail to go down today. Trees, bushes and weeds are growing nicely in this area, I guess the soil is good, which means not easy to hike around. I found many petroglyph panels at the bottom of the cliff. It is a beautiful area and a good day today.

Granite Creek, Chino Valley, AZ
10/4/2024 Granite Creek, Chino Valley, AZ - A mining company at the lower end of Granite Creek doesn’t let me through to the creek from their property, instead of advising me to reach the creek from the other way around Which I did. The creek is totally dry and boulders are stacked up where I wanted to explore. It was not easy to go around the boulders, I am sure I›ve missed some RAs, but I found some petroglyphs here and there, not many, but enjoyed the bottom of the creek bed hike.
