Yukon

	Whitehorse is the capital of Yukon Territory. This town is an oasis for the Alaskan Highway drivers and visitors, they have everything visitors need. The Takhini Hot Springs is the getaway hot springs and summer camp site for students. The town of Carmacks saves and preserved old frontier cabins. In Dawson City, I saw the Yukon Gold Panning Championship, which was part of the Canadian Day activity. To cross the Yukon River, the free ferry is available. No line from West to cross the river, however its long line to cross the river from East, waiting time is 6 to 8 hrs. The free ferry is not big enough to carry many today's large RVs. If you are lucky, you can talk to the caveman, who is walking around the town and chart to anyone. The Haines Junction is a tiny town, make sure to fill up the gas from this town because many gasolin stations were closed for business from here to Alaska.
