6/1/2023 Cleve reek Recreation Area, NV - I learned that this place has petroglyphs panels. However massive creek water running very fast pace, I can’t cross the creek. I’ll come back in the dry season.

6/3/2023 Honeymoon Hill RA, Ely, NV - I’ve hiked beautiful boulders and cliff wall area for while, unfortunately no rock art found. Changed area, I’ve hiked and found BLM sign "Don’t erase..." which means there are rock arts near by. From east side view, round mountain with no trees, from west side view, there are cliffs and rocks, one of the area of west side, there are many petroglyphs that’s made my day!

6/4/2023 Baker Archeological Site, NV - There is not much to see here, at the end of the trail, there are a few sites by gathereed the dirt to show the residential area of the Indian community. It’s flat area with no trees and mountains ranges can see far view. I’m sure that Archeologists excavated and put it back.

6/5/2023 Frisco Ghost Town, West of Milford, UT - This town was a silver mining town to start and added more minerals, and produced $60,000,000 around 1885, that a huge money. 6,000 residents lived in this mountain town one time. Unexpectedly, there are five chacol kilns, two are missing top and three are perfect condition.

6/6/2023 Minersville East Site1, UT - There is no parking lot, parked at side of the highway. Cross under the wire fence and hiked up 100ft to get closer to the petroglyphs panel. There are a few rocks around here, but only this rock has petroglyphs on it.

6/6/2023 Minersville East Site2, UT - Parked the car couple hundred feet from the highway on the dirt road. Hiked up the hill and found the petrglyphs panel on the rock, only this rock has petroglyphs. Hike for while and saw a several rocks, but I couldn’t find any more.

6/6/2023 Minersville South, UT - Troy drove on the bumpy road to get to the site. There are black rocks on the slope of the hills, where petroglyphs panels are located. Those black rocks are not large size but big enogh to have petroglyphs. A funny thing was, Troy said no-one come here, but when we descended there is a family of five, they enjoy the rock art. Thank you Troy to showed me petroglyphs.

6/7/2023 Crystal Peak, Wah Wah Mountains, UT - This mountain is all white color, where mountains around here are all darker color, amazing and strange to see it. On this Crystal Peak, there is no trees, no bushes, only white rocks.

6/9/2023 Eureka, NV - I have stopped by town of Eureka, still they have old buildings beside new buildings. On the highway 50, which is 'lonliest road in America', go through this town. This is a quiet mountain town.

6/9/2023 Toquima Cave RA, Toiyabe National Forest, NV - Trailhead starts inside the campground and short hike to the cave. Entrance of the cave is closed by metal bar fence, however enough space between metal bars to take photos of inside the cave. There are many pictographs, much more than I expected, colors are white, red and yellow. I really enjoyed to seeing those pictographs.

6/10/2023 Grimes Point Archaeological Area, Fallon, NV - There are many petroglyphs on black rocks, but heavily oxidized and fading out, a means not easy to see it nor can’t take good photos. I’ve hiked up to the overlook area, vew was wide open nice view. There are many black rocks both side of the trail, but no rock art found.

6/11/2023 Lee Hot Springs, South of Fallon, NV - Hot springs were boiling 180°F in samll opening area. Near the springs, there are tufa covered boulders. I saw some petroglyphs on the tufa, I hope it’s not my imagination. It is hard to tell natural tufa design or petroglyphs.

6/11/2023 Pyramid Lake, NV - This lake is large in size, when standing at the south end, north end is not visible. There is no residents and farmer lands around the lake that prevent the toxication of the lake. lake water is pure and clean. However I didn’t see any water activities in/by the lake, no boating, no fishing.

6/12/2023 Leonard Rockshelter, Lovelock, NV - Uniqueness of tufa formation here is just like upside down flowers. It is beautiful to see the tufa flowers, go below the tufa and look up, giant flowers hunging down. Rock art panels are located outside the Leonard Rockshelter, south side of the tufa walls.

6/13/2023 Pole Canyon, Mill City, NV - Road atlas indicates petroglyphs site in the Pole Canyon. I’ve hiked 3 miles one way but couldnr’t find the rock art. There is not many rocks in this area, I came back with empty handed. Strange thing was no trees around here addition to no rocks, just like bold mountains. The road condition was very bad, more like ATV road.

6/14/2023 Humbuldt Museum, Winnemucca, NV - Collection of the Ice Age, American Indian, Vintage Automobiles and old items that donated by locals, are in the main building. Also they have three additional buildings outside that the residential house, store and church, all those are fully decorated inside, just like the old days. Admission is free of charge.

6/15/2023 Massacre Lake, NV - There are rock art panels northwest of the Massacre Lake. In this year, too much rain that caused muddy road condition, which I can’t drive. Oh well...I should to come back within dry season.

6/16/2023 Greaser Petroglyphs, Adel, OR - Side of the paved road, there is a sign to indicates petroglyphs boulders. Around here there are many suitable boulders for the rock art, but only those boulders, sign indicated boulders have petroglyphs.

6/18/2023 Picture Rock Pass RA, OR - A few figures on the top half of the boulder. It is not deeply carved petroglyphs, just like draw the figures with white charcole. Around here, there are many nice rocks/boulders, possible to find some more rock art panels. Light snowing that melt right a way, at middle of June???

6/19/2023 Smith Rock, OR - I was expected no-one here, I was wrong, there were many people and parking lots were full, even parking is not free. It is beautiful rock formation area and hiking and rock climbing are popular activities.

6/20/2023 Cove Palisades State Park, OR - This is a beautiful park with a large lake and straight up cliff walls for miles. Some cliffs are column made that unusual to see it. The road is narrow, up/down, and winding. The rock art boulder had been relocated from the original location to here. Some petroglyphs are faded out.

6/21/2023 Willow Creek Pictographs, Madras, OR - Today was second try to find the pictographs panels in the Willow Creek. Yesterday I went too far. Many dead trees were down, wild fire around here was not long ago, that the why one of the local firefighter told me the pictographs location, thank you Trovon. Red color pigment of pictographs are here, some of are faded out, but no fire damage.

6/22/2023 Detroit Lake, OR - Highway #22 runs by the lake but can’t see it from the car by brocking with tall trees. People are fishing from the top of the dam, trout is the fish they were catching. It is beautiful large blue lake with the green trees covered near by mountains.

6/23/2023 Fort Cascades Trail, WA - This is one of the trails under the Dam company property which open for the public. #6 of the Fort Cascades Trail is the location of the petroglyphs rock. This rock is heavyly covered with moss, not easy to see what figures are look like. This petroglyphs rock is a replica, original one is located at the front of the Skamania County Courthouse Annex.

6/23/2023 Skamania County Courthouse Annex, WA - Front of the Courthouse Annex, there is an original petroglyphs rock that relocated from the original location. The condition of the petroglyphs rock is bad condition, it is faded out and bearly can see the figures. But I was happy to see the original rock.

6/24/2023 Collumbia River, WA - People enjoyed with windsurfing. I saw couple different kind windsurfing equipments. I’ve hiked the Horsethief Butte area. I saw boat carried tons of lumbers. Overall, Columbia River is beautiful and usefull river for both Washington and Oregon states.

6/25/2023 Stone Henge, WA - This is a perfect and young stone henge that standing atop of the hill, nice Columbia River view for miles. This is no attendance, that caused by getting the graffiti, sad to see it.

6/25/2023 John Day Lock and Dam, WA - There is no visitor center at the Washington side. Many people enjoy fishing, however fishing stands that for the Native Indians. I learned that the Native Indian has a right for the 50% of the salmon population in the Columbia River.

6/27/2023 Wild Horse Monument, WA - 15 metal horses are located higher side of the hill. To see close look, short but steep trail to hike up. Side view of the metal horses are very impressive, however front and back view are different story. View from the top of the hill, which metal horses are located, is very nice Columbia River view.

6/27/2023 Frenchman Coulee Recreation Area, WA - It is beautiful area, popular for the rock climbing. There is nice tall/long waterfalls in far distance and different rock formations to look at. The dirt road is narrow, steep and winding.

6/28/2023 Indian Painted Rock, WA - This place is located intersection of busy Powerhouse and Ackely roads. There is a sign that said keep out, a means we can’t climb up to reach the bottom of the cliff wall, where pictographs are located. We need a zoom lens camera to take photos of the pictographs.

6/29/2023 Leech Lake, WA - This is a small lake locate near the White Pass Ski Area, where highway #12 passes between ski area and lake. Fishermen are using a boat or flow tube to get at middle of the lake to fish. My first time to saw a Bear Grass, just one, I saw many times many Bear Grasses in the Internet before.

6/30/2023 Washington State Mountain, WA - One of the Washington mountain is just like a jungle, there are very heavy dense of different king trees, bushes, weeds and flowers. When close look, each one of those are beautiful, I hope I have captured the beauty.
