7/1/2023 Metal Sculpture, Raymond, WA - Metal sculptures are spreaded out in the town of Raymond. There is no detail information of sculpture location, walk around in the town to find it or ask locals for the location. Metal sculptures are 2-dimention and 3-dimention, and subject is related within the town.

7/1/2023 Carriage Museum, Raymond, WA - This museum has many carriages that by donations. Some carriage is very old and some of are just like a brand new. There are all kind carriages, most of are I never know does exist.

7/4/2023 Washington Nature Walk, WA - There are so many trees and bushes growing in dense. Walk around on the mountain road to capture the some leaves and flowers of photos. Each plant with angle of the sun light that surprizingly showing beauty of plants. I hope I captured its beauty.

7/6/2023 Kestner Homestead Trail, Olympic National Park, WA - This natural trail is 1.3 miles loop starting at the parking lot of the Quinalt Rain Forest Ranger Station. At the mid point, there is a Kestner Homestead. It is rainforest but sort or dry, dry rain forest ???

7/7/2023 Sol Duc River Walk, Bear Creek Camp Ground, WA - It is natural walk trail by the Sol Doc River that located west end of the campground and no sign of the trail, which most people do not know the trail does exit. The Sol Doc river runs parallel to 2/3 of thre trail, stop by to enjoy water activities that possible. There are pretty rainforest view all the way.

7/8/2023 Demo Derby, Forks, WA - This is every 4th of July event, however delayed in this year by firefighters were busy for the wildfire. Firefighters were standing every key points of this event. Crashing cars in the colosseum is danger but audience like it. Crazy? Yes. Excited? Yes. Insane? Yes. Ambulances are standby.

7/8/2023 Timber Museum, Forks, WA - Timber is the main industry in this town, timber trucks every 5 minutes pass by on the highway. Museum is small in size but displayed all related with timber around here. I learned that largest Western Redcedar circumference is 761 inches and tallest Douglas Fir height is 281 ft.

7/9/2023 Wedding Rock, Olympic National Park, WA - This is a popular place, parking lot is full, most people are backpacking, and ranger station is no-one there. The trail is a 10 miles triangle loop, first and last segments are mainly on the boad hike. However 2nd segment is a beach hike, some place is sandy and some place is rocky. I join the a family of three to find the rock art.

7/11/2023 Clallam Bay, Sekiu, WA - I have visited two small towns by the ocean that located northwest of Washington. The Vancouver Island, Canada, is in the view and not far from the towns. It is very quiet area, I didn’t see anyone in the beach.

7/12/2023 Lake Pleasant, WA - It is a good size lake. Tall green trees surounding by the lake, nice view. I didn’t see the fishermen, very quiet lake. Can’t see from the photos, but many residential houses are hiding from the view.

7/13/2022 Port Angeles, WA - Walk around the main area of the town to capture the displayed art sculptures that head down, a means sculptures have no head. When I was in this town at last time, seems to no-one in the town, because Canada-US border was closed, but today all stores open in the business.

7/15/2023 Sol Duc Hatchery, WA - In this place, open to the public is very limited. There is no tours or information boads. Walk around and figured out ourselves that was hard for limited knowledge. I saw many small fishes over the wire fence, I am not sure that the salmon or not.

7/18/2023 Ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, BC - Foggy day to start, but clear up quickly, 8:25 am ferry left Port Angeles, USA, and 10 am reached Victoria, CANADA. Foot passengers got in the feery first and took the best seats in the ferry, car passengers are left over seats inside the ferry. Oh well... I walk around the deck to enjoy the outside.

7/18/2023 Alldridge Point, Juan De Fuca Strait, BC - There are signs to this petroglyphs site. Only one large petroglyph exist that about 10 ft high and 15 ft wide. This park is a beautiful and popular place, many people enjoy hiking, water play, too cold to swim, and picnic.

7/19/2023 Port Renfrew, Vancouver Island, BC - It is a beautiful area, surrounding by sea water and not many people here, peaceful. There are a few wooden bridges to cross it, all bridges are one lane, take turn to pass the bridge. West Coast Trail is seven days backpacking hike, but very popular.

7/19/2023 Honeymoon Bay, BC - It is a large beautiful lake called Cowichan Lake. Honeymoon Bay is the one of the area around the lake and has a beach that open for the public to enjoy. The lake is surrounding by many private properties and not many public access.

7/20/2023 Nanaimo, BC - In the town of Nanaimo, I’ve walk around the ferry terminal area, one side is line up the modern buildings, other side is homeless people spreading out among them are many young people. There is no open wi-fi in/aound town, to access to the wi-fi, go inside the store to buy something to access to their wi-fi.

7/20/2023 Nanaimo City Museum, Nanaimo, BC - This is a very clean and nicely organized modern museum, located one of the modern building at the center of the downtown, there is no parking for the museum, use parking building near by, which pay the fee. In the museum, there is a little larger than human head petroglyphs rock displayed.

7/20/2023 Petroglyph Provincial Park, Nanaimo, BC - There are two locations, one is replica of petroglyphs of the concreate blocks on the ground, another one is original petroglyphs on the ground level of the rocks that covered with moss and old leaves.

7/20/2023 The Abyss, Nanaimo, BC - Open rock crevice that they called, It’s cracked open ground by earthquick. One of the crack is one foot wide and 100 ft long, and west side of the crack is one foot higher than east sie in some segment. Bottom of the crack is not visible. Nice far view for this hike.

7/21/2023 Harewood Plain RA, Nanaimo, BC - Around here, there are many trils for hiking and mainly bicycling. I’ve asked the near residents, knocked house, but they don’t know where rock art panels are located. However I’ve asked bicyclers, they took me to the rock art site, how lucky I am. Petroglyphs are on the ground level of the flat rocks. When put water on the petroglyphs, figures pop up nicely.

7/21/2023 Ferry from Nanaimo to Gabriola Island, BC - I got an information from the Nanaimo Museum, that this island, Gabriola Island, has many rock art panels. Island is visible from Nanaimo and ferry is only 1/2 hr ride.

7/21/2023 Gabriola Museum, BC - This museum inside is smaller in size. Outside the museum, there are many replica of the petroglyphs, where original petroglyphs are located some places in this island. I have visited this museum twice, first time tree shades bothered me to capture the petroglyphs panels, next time at early morning where sun is not up yet.

7/22/2023 Church Petroglyphs, Gabriola Island, BC - Behind the church, there is a sign and trail to follow to find the petroglyphs panels. Follow the trail, and found some petroglyphs panels, all panels are on the ground level of flat rocks. It’s covered with moss and not easy to find it, when find it remove the moss, easy to remove it, some petrolgyphs are large size.

7/22/2023 Nelder’s Pond RA, Gabriola Island, BC - There is an island in the pond that made by beaver. Beautiful pond, which is private pond and allowed publick to enjoy, even there are bench around the pond to relax and enjoy the view, addition to there are many berries, I ate many seeet berries. Petroglyphs panels are little far from the pond and all on the ground level of the rocks.

7/22/2023 Saturday Market, Gabriola Island, BC - About couple dozens venders that all original items to sale. There are many cars both sides of the road, I have parked my car near the market parking lot. Musitians play live music that was very nice. Only disappointed was there is no food venders.

7/24/2023 Gabriola Island Beach, BC - I’ve visited a few beaches in the Gabriola Island, all beaches are smooth pebble or flat rock beaches rather than sand beach. But that doesn’t stop people to come to enjoy the beach.

7/24/2023 Morecroft Regional Park, BC - One of the locals suggested me to stop by to this park. Very quiet, no-one there in early morning, beautiful sea view, where beach is pebble rather than sand, and some islands are in far view.

7/24/2023 Sproat Lake Provincial Park, BC - There are petoglyphs in this park, uniqueness is to see it from the floting platform that constantly moving by waves that come from near by moterboats where people enjoy boating activities in this lake. Petroglyphs figures are large in size on the vertical cliff walls. Some figures are called sea monsters.

7/25/2023 Great Central Lake, BC - Supernatural fish called "Fish Devil", the name of the petroglyphs, which I was looking for. One local said, he looked all over but can’t find it. Winter is lower the lake water level, better to looking in winter that he said. I saw many houses at the edge of the lake that all floating houses.

7/26/2023 Englishman River, Parksville, BC - There are suppose to rock art panels in this area, but can’t find it, asked a few pople but no-one knows it. There is a new suspention bridge built by the old suspention bridge, which old bridge is all gone. This area is very popular to jump down the cliff into the river to show down or cool down. People are also spreading by the river to cool down the summer.

7/27/2023 Ferry from Buckley Bay to Denman Island, BC - Ferry to Denman Island then Hornby Island from Buckley Bay. Ferry is not large in size and no need to get out the car, stay inside the car. They charge just once that include 2nd island ferry, and way back ferrys that was convenience, where I thought I have to pay 4 times, go to 1st island and back, go to 2nd island and bacck.

7/27/2023 Tralee Point RA, Hornby Island, BC - Two ferry rides to get here, Vancouver Island, Denman Island and Horney Island. Petroglyphs are very faded out, easy to miss it. Long way to come and many people to ask, but I’m happy finally found it.

7/29/2023 Nuyumbalees Cultural Center, Quadra Island, BC - From Campbell River to rode the ferry to got here. Cultural Center is not open but totempoles and petroglyphs boulders are welcome me. At the front of the building and across the street that the petroglyphs and totempoles are located. Petroglyphs boulders are re-located here from the original location.

7/29/2023 Cape Mudge, Quadra Island, BC - Cape Mudge is located at the beach side of the Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge. The beach is not easy to walk, because human head size rocks all over. I found some petroglyphs but there are many more if walk on the rock beach for more distance.

7/30/2023 Fort Rupert, BC - This is my first time to find rock art panels under the rain. Rain and high tied, not easy to walk, slipply rock beach. Luckyly I found the alien faces petroglyphs, which large rounded eyes and mouse that heavyly faded.

7/31/2023 Woss Lake Recreation Site, BC - Beautiful and quiet lake with tons of trees surrounding by the lake. There is a campground with free of charge and many campers enjoy camping here. However I didn’t see any water activities. There are trains display in the town.
