1/7/2023 Martha’s Butte, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Weather was odd for while, seems to rain every weeks, when ground got wet, no time to totally dried up and rain again, repeating for last three months. I couldn’t wait any longer, so that I’ve hiked today. Ground was frozen when I started to hiking, frozen ground become muddy when temperature rise. This is my first hike for this year, feel so good to be hike in nice petroglyphs area.

1/10/2023 Navajo Nation Presidential Inauguration, Window Rock, AZ - Navajo Nation is spreading to three states, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Two new records made, one: new president is a youngest president ever selected, he is a 35 years old, two: new vice president is a first female to selected. All members of council are older than new president. The members of the color guard are all female veterans wearing beautiful dress.

1/12/2023 Flattops East, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - I’ve hiked many times and found many petroglyphs in this area before. Today I’ve hiked remaining area to find some more rock art. Unfortunately I did’n find new petroglyphs but enjoyed hike in this area.

1/12/2023 Jim Gray’s Petrified Wood Store, Holbrook, AZ - Jim Gray owns 3,000 acres of land that close to the Petrified Forest National Park, excavated all petrified woods which for sale in-side and out-side of the store. Most expensive item in-the-store is the $29,000 table which not include chairs, and most expensive item out-side-store is around $90,000 petrified wood.

1/13/2023 Petroglyph Canyon, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Today I’ve approached from the top of the mesa. Below, there is a hiking trail that built by CCC, is not visible. Also I’ve heard that CCC built a golf course atop of the mesa that not recognizable now. I found some petroglyphs that I’ve missed at last time.

1/13/2023 Jim Camp Wash Panel, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Well...I was at the Petroglyph Canyon, which means very close to the Jim Camp Wash panel, I’ve stopped by to enjoy it. 1/2 of the panel is totally gone by weathering, a means the panel is getting smaller, sad to see it.

1/22/2023 Tanner Wash, near Holbrook, AZ - I’ve started hiking around 10am, it was sunny day but cold for hike, last couple weeks seems to temperature never go up. I found a panel that carved gently that caused by faded out, some figures are blurred, but cheer me up surely.

1/28/2023 Tucker Flat Site#1, north of Winslow, AZ - A few boulders have some petroglyphs on it located side of the slope, just south of the Navajo Indian Reservation. In this area, rock art is located only this mount.

1/28/2023 Tucker Flat Site#2, north of Winslow, AZ - "Access is granted but can be revoked at any time" that the sign said, private property that open for the public. Rock Art panels are not so big and only a few figures, but I was finding panel after panels, I had a great time in this area. I’m sure I’ll come back to explore in this area more.
