2/1/2023 Lacey’s Point Hike, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - I was hoping to find new petroglyphs for me. I found some but not many. Stopped by nice petroglyphs panels that I’ve been, just like seeing old friends.

2/3/2023 Tucker Flat North Hike, north of Winslow, AZ - I had a good time in this area few days ago, so that hike around north side of the Tucker Flat today, hoping find some more rock arts. Unfortunately I didn’t find any rock arts, but weather was nice, sunny clear sky, I enjoyed hike and increased geographical knowledge of around here.

2/5/2023 Newspaper Rock, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - I wanted to see an elderly hold a cane petroglyph, which near the Newspaper Rock that recently discovered. I’ve visited the Newspaper Rock today to see it. The panel is visible from the view area, but look carefully.

2/5/2023 Golden Disk Panel, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Since I was not far from the Golden Disk Panel, stopped by to say 'Hi' to old friends. This panel is a bold carving, can see it from far distance. There are many petroglyphs around here, but only this panel is the bold. I guess, when someone made this panel for the showcase to attract people or message loud or both.

2/7/2023 Tucker Flat, north of Winslow, AZ - There are many nice boulders to carve the petroglyphs here. I’ve hiked five miles but I couldn’t find any rock art today, little disappointed, but I enjoyed hiking in beautiful area and nice weather.

2/10/2023 San Juan River, Bluff, UT - There is no snow on the ground in the town of Bluff, however 2 inches of snow on the ground in Blanding and 5 inches of snow on the ground in Monticello, it is still winter there. I was hoping to find the rock art panels around this segment of the San Juan River, but no rock art.

2/12/2023 Besh Ba Gowah Museum, Globe, AZ - The ruin and museum located higher side of the hill. In this place, use to have 200 rooms, about 100 rooms today, and all those rooms are recreated. The town of Globe is located at middle of the mountain ranges, but there are very heavy traffic, I am guessing because mine business is doing well.

2/13/2023 Park Link, Marana, AZ - This place is located not far from the nice Picacho Peak, which I’ve hiked/climb up years ago. Today was raining day till 4pm, after that walk in the park, there are many beautiful desert plants, trees and cacti to enjoy.

2/14/2023 Samaniego Hills, Ironwood Forest National Monument, AZ - I got an information from the Internet, suppose to there are rock art panels, but all I found was black rocks and no rock art. Also I learned that this Samaniego Hills are combination of many hills, I’ve hiked only couple hills today, when complated all hills hike, I’m sure I’ll find some.

2/15/2023 Pan Quemado, Ironwood Forest National Monument, AZ - East side of the Samaniego Hills, that this place is located. I found some petroglyphs, where black rocks are covered mountain/hill slope. I’ve hiked ground level, I’m wondering maybe there are more petroglyphs exist on highter side too?

2/17/2023 Tumamoc Hill, Tucson, AZ - This place is very popular, many people up and down the paved hill for exercies. Park the car at the side of the road that a mile long. According to the Internet information, there are 500 petroglyphs can be found on the Tumamoc Hill, I found only 5, a means I’ve missed 495 petroglyphs, which is for next time.

2/18/2023 Huerfano Butte, East of Green Valley, AZ - It is unfriendly place, there is the wire fence all around and no entrance to the butte nor any signs. Lucky me, I found an opening of the wire fence, crawl-in to get inside the fence, there is a trail all the way to the petroglyphs panel. The panel is not large and faded out.

2/19/2023 Fairbank Historic Townsite, AZ - The town was a railroad town found in 1882, currently a ghost town, several historic buildings remaining. There are hiking trails by the San Padro River, Horse back ride, and walking tours are available, if weather permit.

2/21/2023 Painted Rock, AZ - Use to we can walk between rocks or hike up on the rocks, but not anymore, they built metal fence all around to not get in, and fine is $250 if violate. Also they arrange the Painted Rocks, so that we can see all Painted Rocks from out side the fence.

2/23/2023 Fortuna Wash Hike, Yuma, AZ - I didn’t know was, there are many trails/ATV roads in this area that confused me and impossible to find rock art panels without exact trail map. About one mile or so, since started hiking, there are rusting many beautiful rock formation all over, enjoy hike even couldn’t find rock art.

2/24/2023 Weldon West, Wellton, AZ - There is no rock wall or boulder around here, only some rocks here and there. I was wondering how to find rock arts here? Lucky enough to find couple rocks have petroglyphs. Nice wildness area, dirt roads are well maintained.

2/26/2023 Mule Canyon HIke, Blythe, CA - I don’t know much about roads configuration around here, and parked my car too far from the Mule canyon. When I reached at the mouth of the Mule Canyon, I was tired to explore. If I’ll visit this place again, I have more homework to do before coming.

2/27/2023 Dragon Wash RA, Joshua Tree National Park, CA - I was lucky to find petroglyphs panel at the mouth of the Dragon Wash, which easy to miss it. I’ve hiked for while but can not find rock art any more. It is beautiful rusting color rocks all over the mountains.

2/28/2023 Hayfield Wash RA, Joshua Tree National Park, CA - There is no official trailhead nor parking lot. Amazing things was...petroglyphs are right there, where I’ve parked place and continue next 1.5 miles. I’ve hiked on the ground level, but petroglyphs are some times high up, if hike up or climb up the hills, can find many more petroglyphs that sure. I had a great time keep finding petroglyphs here.
