10/1/2022 Farmers Market, Pagosa Springs, CO - There was a farmers market in Pagosa Springs, when I was drive through the town, stop by and take a look at. The rest room is decorated with old skis, I thought that a nice way to re-use old skis.

10/1/2022 Chimney Rock National Monument, CO - Information from the Internet said there are some petroglyphs in this park. However four volunteer rangers could not recognized the rock art and told me, there is no petroglyphs in the park. Well...which to believe, Internet information or ranhgers? I have to find the waypoint before coming at next time.

10/2/2022 Angle Peak National Recreation Site, NM - It is located by the Highway 550 east side that south of the town of Bloomfield. From the view point, look down the wide badland miles away, spectacular view, that view changes by dry condition and wet condition.

10/3/2022 Fajada Butte Overlook Hike, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - There is no rock art for this hike. However trail is located higher side and view was very nice. The trail starting and ending point is one of the campground host site.

10/4/2022 Cemetary Area Rock Art, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - I hike around the cemetary area and found some petroglyphs, most of are smaller in size and some of are not easy to recognized.

10/4/2022 Chetro Ketl, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - Between Chetro Ketl and Pueblo Bonito, there is a large continuation of the rock cliff walls, Petroglyphs panels are all over the walls. Nice petroglyphs panels and both ends are nice pueblos, nice place to be.

10/4/2022 Hungo Pavi, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - Nice pueblo and some nice petroglyphs near by. It was short hike from the main road, there is smaller parking lot, people come and go very quickly.

10/4/2022 Kin Kletso, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - This is the trailhead located for the Pueblo Alto Loop, some people are standing to watch people climb up/down the steep slope. There is a nice pueblo and petroglyphs panel is by the pueblo.

10/4/2022 Pueblo Alto Loop Hike, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - Hike trail starts at bock of the Kin Kletso Pueblo. My initial thought was, I have to climb up this steep slop of clack? But climb up/down is more easier than initial thought. After climb up the clack, I was atop of the mesa, some places are flat but most of time up/down/round the rocks. When finish the loop hike, I was exhausted.

10/4/2022 Pueblo Bonito, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - It is beautiful pueblo from see it near and far from the mesa top. It is engineering marble, very precisely calculated to stack up tons of small rocks. Who need a computer???

10/4/2022 Una Vide, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - This is close to the Visitor Center, two separate rock art locations, one is east side parking lot and cross the wooden bridge, another one is short hike to north and climb up the hill. There is small pueblo just before ascending the hiking trail.

10/4/2022 Campground area rock art, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM - I was not expected there are many rock art panels in this area, just walk by the bottom of the rock cliff walls from the campground host site to all the way to campfire circle. There are couple ruins and many rock art panels along the way, this is easy hike/walk.

10/8/2022 1st Fork, Slickhorn Canyon, Cedar Mesa, UT - It was later start, 10:30 am, tried to go hike as much as I can, and end up at the big falls bypass high point. It was strenuous hike especially 4 days of rain last week that caused many water puddles and muddy spots to avoid. Only 5 miles of hike but sore all over my body, it was entire body workout hike, and a ranger said "Welcome to the Ceder Mesa."

10/9/2022 Kachina Bridge, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - Deer Canyon via Kachina Bridge to see the rock art panels that was my original plan. However too much water in the creek and muddy condition all over under the Kachina Bridge. Change the plan, go to the Deer Canyon that some other time, enjoyed the Kachina Bridge rock art.

10/10/2022 Moki Dugway, Cedar Mesa, UT - This is on the highway 216 between highway 95 and 163. Dirt highway that winding and steep at the same time and narrow at time to time. View is incredible if you have a chance to look around. It is two ways road, cars are keep coming other side. It is beautiful area and scary place at the same time.

10/10/2022 Sand Dune Site, Bluff, UT - I was planning to reach the north Sand Dune rock art site, before that stop to the Sand Dune Site to enjoy the rock art, unfortunately I couldn’t find the north Sand Dune Site. Instead of, I found a trail, follow it and reached the atop of the white rock area. Wide view from the top, very nice.

10/10/2022 Bird House Ruin, Cottonwood Canyon, UT - This ruin is a cute and located at the middle of the slick rock in the alcove. It is just like a tiny house, well protected by the alcove from weather damages.

10/11/2022 Beef Basin Road Rock Art East, UT - The Beef Basin Road is turn west from the highway 211. It is time of the season that there are many rock climbers around here, climb up the straight up tall cliff walls for fun. Rock Art boulders are all right side of the road after turn from the highway 211 between mile one to five.

10/12/2022 Beef Basin Road Rock Art West, UT - This is continuation of yesterday to finding the rock art boulders. Between one to five miles on the Beef Basin road from the highway 211, I found total nine rock art boulders. Some of are so-so and some of are very nice.

10/12/2022 Beef Basin, Canyon Rims Recreation Area, UT - I have a plan to come to this place years ago, finally made it. To reach the Beef Basin, road condition is rough, only 30 miles of drive after turn from the highway 211, but I felt 100 miles of drive on roough road. I was exhausted when reach the Beef Basin. View is nice and quiet area.

10/12/2022 Ruin Park, Beef Basin, Canyon Rims Recreation Area, UT - Ruin Park means many ruins in one area, I didn’t know was size of one area, large in size. There is no trail to hike to one ruin to another, all drive up to go to next one. There is no signs or maps to indicate name of the ruins, if you don’t do the homework before coming, you lost right a way. All ruins are smaller size.

10/12/2022 Hatman Panel, Corral Creek, Montezuma Canyon Area, UT - Not too far from the highway 262. It is very clear carved petroglyphs,I assume it is not so old, one figure just like wear a hat, a means wearing Chaplin's hat.

10/15/2022 Corral Creek Panel, Montezuma Canyon Area, UT - The large rock wall about 100ft away from the highway 262 that rock art panel is located. There are new petroglyphs top of the old one, seems to 4 or 5 draw over and over again, that very interesting ro see different concept and technique of the petroglyphs in wall.

10/16/2022 Group of Sun Panel, Montezuma Canyon, UT - There are many suns in this panel, most of are fading out, the panel is located higher side of the cliff wall. Close to Montezuma Canyon Road.

10/16/2022 Spirit Bird Cave, Montezuma Canyon, UT - A ruin located very top of the tall cliff wall. View from there is very nice, but to get down into the ruin/cave is frightening. Use a rope to get down to inside because entrance way is crumbling. I can see the more floor down there, I am sure I can go down, but I am not sure I can come up, so that I went only one floor down. I took photos from out side about this ruin.

10/16/2022 Coal Bed Village, Montezuma Canyon, UT -Finally I found the rock art boulder that I wanted to see it for years. Someone told me years ago, but I didn’t have a chance to come to the Montezuma Canyon, which is one of my favorite canyons to see many rock arts.

10/17/2022 Crown Point, Montezuma Canyon, UT - Hike up to the bottom of the crown area, large rock art panel is located at the east side of the Crown Point, north face giant boulder. Amazing to carve the rock that much high. Nice 360 degree view from it.

10/17/2022 Sun-Man Site, Montezuma Canyon, UT - I was not plan to go there, but I was near by, so that stop by. There are two panels in this area, one is Sun-Man panel and other one has few figures. Sun-Man is very unique, head of the human figure is the sun.

10/19/2022 Bluff Hike, UT - Try to find the rock art panel, it was not easy way to get it, a means dangerous to reach it. So that I’ve hiked up to the opposite from the dry creek slope, which easier to hike up to, and took look at the rock art panel. It was not impressed, more like just scratches. I decided to just enjoy the hike today rather than finding rock art panel.

10/20/2022 Centerline Panel, Comb Ridge, UT - I am fortunated to found this impressive petroglyphs panel. It was long hike, distance is not so long but climb up/down the rocks/boulders seems to long hike. It was located around the corner of one of the ridges. The center of the panel, there is a thick line that added later on.

10/21/2022 Moki Steps, San Juan Riverside, Bluff, UT - Can not see the Moki Steps, from the top of it, because too steep and afraid to look down from the edge. I found a faded out the rock art panel in side of the small wash atop of the Moki Steps, berely can see the sun or spiral figures and cross like figure, all others are I have no clue but something there.

10/23/2022 Lower Battler Wash Hike, Comb Ridge, UT - I’ve hiked lower Battler Wash of higher east side to take look at west side of the Battler Wash walls. There are some ruins and alcoves. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any rock art panels even used monocular.

10/24/2022 San Juan Riverside Rock Art, Bluff, UT - This place is just behind the Bluff Airport. There are many rock art panels, most of are located high on the lower side of the cliff, where cliff walls are large in size, not easy to find it, I’m sure I’ve missed some.

10/25/2022 Comb Ridge Hike, Bluff, UT - Hike around the south side of the Comb Ridge. There are many canyons but those are invisible until get closer, a means hike up/down in/out the canyon numerous times, it was a good work out hike.

10/28/2022 McKinley Ranch, NM - The owner of ranch was passed the way on January, which I didn’t know it. The owner was very nice to me, I’ve stopped by whenever I travel around here, and always welcome me. I miss him. The new owner, next generation, took over the ranch. Grandson told me where to find the rock arts in the two separate areas and I found many.

10/29/2022 Witch Well Canyon Rock Art, north of St. Johns, AZ - I couldn’t find the way to hike down to the bottom of the canyon, where I was hiking on the mesa. I found a few rock art panels look down other side of the canyon. I think I have a good idea to go down to the bottom of the canyon that leave it for next time.

10/31/2022 Little Colorado River, south of Woodruff, AZ - There is not many ways to reach the bottom of the river around here. Even lucky enough to reach the bottom of the river which is just like the top of the sand dune, river runs about 20ft below it and no way to cross the river. I’ve hiked small segment of the top of the sand dune area, where rock art panels are located other side of the top of the sand dune area.
