5/1/2022 Cane Wash Rock Art, San Rafael Swell, UT - There are two pictographs sites in this area, I have been to one before, distance is one hundred feet apart with bird’s eye or drone’s view. But hike around the sand stone fin like peninsula that cost me about additional one mile hike. When I got there, front of the huge cliff wall, I can not find any pictographs panels, suppose to two panels. One panel is 2 o'crock direction from the window and another one is 5 o'clock direction from the window. Those are faded out and not visible anymore I guess. But how did some one got to the window area???

5/4/2022 North Fork Panel, Emery Area, UT - The red pictographs panel is smaller in size, but very detail oriented, just like the Ascending Sheep Panel. It is wide view area with lot of suitable rocks/boulders for the rock art, but only this rock art panel does exist around here that Glenys said, who took me here to show the panel. Thank you Glenys, without your help I never find it.

5/5/2022 North Salt Wash, Sid & Charlie, UT - This area is remining area me to explore in Sid & Charlie. Found two large petroglyphs panels, one panel is a new for me and another panel is second time for me. The road to Sid and Charlie is much deeper sand than before.

5/6/2022 Prickly Pear Rock Art, San Rafael Swell, UT - There is a wooden fence to protect the rock art site. There are mainly red color pictographs and some petroglyphs too. Unfortunately many pieces of pictographs are missing and faded out by age and weather.

5/6/2022 Prickly Pear Arch, San Rafael Swell, UT - I am not sure this is the arch or alcove, I guess both. I didn’t climb up to it, so that I don’t know the much detail, because located at the middle of the cliff wall.

5/7/2022 Buckhorn Wash, San Rafael Swell, UT - Buckhorn Wash starts by the Buckhorn Spur road and petroglyphs are located in this area on the black surface flat rocks on grand level. I thought there are some more rock art panels and walk around, but couldn’t find any.

5/8/2022 Horn Silver Gulch, Ferron, UT - Located by the Dutch Flat Road and surrounding by the old wire fence. I saw many old cow’s droppings. There are three panels in short distance that pictographs + petroglyphs, pictographs and petroglyphs.

5/8/2022 Cinderella Reservoir, Ferron, UT - Located by the Dutch Flat Road. Everywhere around here is very dry, water around here is rare, even I couldn’t guess how water to get here. This reservoir is one of the key oasis to the cows and wild animals. Water level of the reservoir is about half full.

5/9/2022 Moccasin Panel, Ferron Creek, UT - There are many feet or sandals like figured of the petroglyphs in this site, on the darker color of the flat rock surface on the ground level.

5/9/2022 Lower Ferron Creek Panels, Ferron Creek, UT - It is located east side of the Lower Ferron Creek, and I found three separate rock art sites. One site is just like the Moccasin Panel, all feet or sandals figured petroglyphs. Also I saw the red and yellow pigments of the pictographs.

5/10/2022 Peavine Wash Rock Art, Ferron Creek, UT - What’s wrong with wind? Strong wind all day today. This location is west side of the Ferron Creek, I got a writing permit from owner’s brother and State Senator David Hinkins to pass through their private property. The dirt road is all the way to the rock art site area, I wonder why? because rock arts are not so impressive.

5/11/2022 Moore Cutoff Road, Emery, UT - Glenys and I were looking for the rock art by the Moore Cutoff Road area. We found some faded pictographs, that all we found today. Weather was nice but wind was picking up around noon. Thank you for the ride Glenys.

5/11/2022 Castle Valley Outdoors, Emery, UT - I was wondering for while what this place is? Glenys gave me a tour today in this place, they are the resort and renting houses, so that good for the large group. Shooting range, hunting, fishing are the main attraction and of course relax from the stressful life.

5/12/2022 I-70 and HW 10 Rock Art, Emery, UT - It is located busy highway I-70 road side, there is no parking lot to stop by, park some place and hike up to see it. Petroglyphs are located black surface of the volcanic rocks, I found two rocks, one has snake like figure and another one has feet or sandal like figures.

5/12/2022 Homestead House, Emery, UT - There are many homestead houses still standing in the town of the Emery, which changed name from town of Muddy to Emery at 1883 that 21 years after the Homestead Act, 1862. A means, those houses are between 100 and 130 years old, if they built after the Homestead Act.

5/13/2022 Moore Cutoff Ring, Emery, UT - Like teepee ring or ceremonial ring, but don’t know the sure. Located flat area near the mesa range and dried creek.

5/13/2022 Magic Finger Panel, Emery, UT - Long and bended finger that the Magic Finger panel. Around this panel, there are some more rock art panels. A bonus for today that I found another rock art panel less than 1/4 mile a way. Sad thing was both pictographs and petroglyphs of this panel are fading out.

5/13/2022 Short Canyon West Panel, Emery, UT - There are a few side canyons west of the Short Canyon. This panel is located one of the west side canyons of the short canyon. There are many nice cliff walls, and this large cliff wall has many petroglyphs on it. I was there around 2pm, some of petroglyphs are in the shade and some petroglyphs are under the strong sun, not good time to take photos.

5/14/2022 Cottonwood Creek Panel, Orangeville, UT - This is the highway 29 road side, middle of the steep hill, where pictographs are located. Other side of highway is steep drop down to the creek.

5/14/2022 Rainmen Panel, San Rafael Swell, UT - Drive the Humbrick Bottom road and parked side of the open area of the road then hike. I was lucky to find the way to go down the bottom of the creek. At the panel, there are missing rock art parts and faded colors.

5/14/2022 Mushroom Rocks, San Rafael Swell, UT - This place is located at the side road of the Humbrick Bottom Road. One area there are mushroom like rocks all over.

5/15/2022 Cedar Mountain Overlook, Castle Dale area, UT - Wide view that breath taking, I wish I know the name of the mountains and this area. The overlook point is much higher so that all down there are just like miniature set of the mountains.

5/15/2022 Dry Wash South, Castle Dale Area, UT - I have been this area before, but one area was left for some other time, which I’ve hiked today. Someone preferred to call this area the pictograph canyon. There are both petroglyphs and pictographs in the canyon, however more petroglyphs than pictographs.

5/16/2022 Bottom Rock Panel, Wellington, UT - There are many rocks/boulders at the higher side and middle of the slope, only one boulder at the bottom of the slope. This bottom of the slope rock/boulder has many petroglyphs on one side of the rock. I’m glad I didn’t miss it, but very close to miss it.

5/18/2022 Camping Sushi, Emery, UT - Demonstrated my creation of the Camping Sushi which create own sushi roll like. This Camping Sushi is hold Nori, 1/4 size, one hand and add sushi rice, flat out, and choice of the cucumber, Avocado, imitation crab meat, or cooked shrimp, then dip in the soy sauce + wasabi to eat.

5/19/2022 West Short Canyon, Emery, UT - I was hoping to find new rock art panels, a good news was I found one. It is located side canyon of the Short Canyon. Not many figures, but very clear carving petroglyphs.

5/19/2022 Short Canyon Rock Art, Emery, UT - I was Short Canyon area, so that I stopped by to say 'Hi' to old friends. This is the best busy rock art panel in the Short Canyon.

5/20/2022 Half Birdman Panel, Buckhorn Draw, UT - Half of figure is human and another half figure is bird that wing and bird foot are showing. Located at the bottom of the tall cliff wall.

5/19/2022 Black Rock Panel, Buckhorn Draw, UT - Short distance from the main road of the Buckhorn Draw. Rock color is black but carved petroglyphs is showing white. There are many more black rocks around here but only this rock has petroglyphs.

5/20/2022 Big Hole Wash Rock Art, UT - This is the wash hike and both sides of wash walls has many holes/caves/alcove. Large red wall, where rock art panels are located, but figures are faded out not easy to see on the photos.

5/20/2022 Cottonwood Wash Road Attractions, UT - These are the Cottonwood Wash Road attractions with large signs that hard to miss it such as, Head Rock and Idol Rock.

5/20/2022 Cottonwood Canyon Rock Art, UT - Today was a good day, I found four rock art panels in short distance in the Cottonwood Canyon, where Cottonwood Wash road runs a parallel to the Highway 6 and 191, north of Green River. Canyon is beautiful place to hike.

5/21/2022 Green River Rock Art, UT - I found this place from the Internet. Trailhead is different, trail is different and name is different, I thought different place but it is the same place I have been with another name called the Butterfly Bend.

5/22/2022 Sandthrax Panel, Highway 95, UT - The rock art panel is located beside the Sandthrax Campground. It is a busy panel with many petroglyphs figures and more busier with graffiti.

5/22/2022 Highway 95 roadside rock art, UT - I found two separate rock art panel locations, both around MM 27. There is no parking lot that the problem. Petroglyphs are not easy to see it because rock color and carved rock color are the same color.

5/23/2022 Story Teller Panel, Old Woman Wash, UT - Trail is there all the way to the panel, which I didn’t know it and spent extra time to find the way to the panel. Red pigment dominates pictographs panel has least four different stories, I wish I can tell you those stories. I still couldn’t figured out, how did they draw high up on the straight tall wall?

5/24/2022 Lucky Strike Mine, San Rafael Swell, UT - This mine was Uranium mine, currently inactive mine. Back ground of this mine is breath taking beauty, tall and large cliff wall all around. I saw the Hondoo Arch that not too far from the mine.

5/24/2022 Kimball Draw Rock Art, UT - Located road side of the Kimball Draw/Cat Canyon Road. Main figures are multi colored like targets or total eclipse figures, and some more smaller figures near by, with graffiti.

5/25/2022 Link Flat, UT - At the end of the road, there are rock art panel and cave. Rock art panel is smaller but cave is large in size and a small petroglyphs rock in the cave, view from the cave is very nice.

5/27/2022 Pariette Wetlands, Myton, UT - Too dry to survive the wetland here, currently only portion of the wetland remind. There is the Green River near by, a good thing is animals are not depending on this wetland.

5/27/2022 Three of Us Panel, Myton, UT - Full of water in the Green River, exploring the river side of the Green River, wish to find the rock art. Lucky me, I found couple rock art panels in separate areas, one panel has not much statement, but next panel has a strong statement called 'Three of Us'.

5/28/2022 Sheep Canyon Rock Art, Nine Mile Canyon, UT - There are so many petroglyphs panels in the Nine Mile Canyon, however pictographs panels are rare. This place has one of the rare pictographs panel. Red color dominated pictographs of four figures are under the over hanging clilff wall. Also there are petroglyphs panels near by.

5/28/2022 Myton 1st day Rock Art, Myton, UT - I was totally under estimated rock art in Myton, UT, because I never heard of. I was finding many rock art panels, one area after another. There are many rocks/boulders around here that suitable for the rock art.

5/29/2022 Myton 2nd day Rock Art, Myton, UT - Continuation of yesterday, and found some more petroglyphs panels. Yesterday I have stopped by the local resident’s house to asked rock art site, they were very nice to told me where to find it. Unexpectedly they came the site today and not only checking me, told me high up panels, they climbed up and I was following, those panels are best panels around here. I’m glad I didn’t miss it.

5/30/2022 Myton 3rd day Rock Art, Myton, UT - I drove loop road and found some more rock art panels by the road side. One rock art panel was located higher up and all other panels are on the ground level. Strong wind didn’t stop me to finding rock art panels which finding rock art is an exciting to me.
