12/1/2022 Wengert Ranch, Woodruff, AZ - The Wengert Ranch is long gone, but the remains of some building are still there. I’ve hiked behind the ranch. There are many rocks, boulders and cliff walls, but no rock art found. I enjoyed hiking even little windy.

12/7/2022 Flat Iron Panel, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - On the way to the Wall, which is today’s destination, this panel is located. To stop by and enjoy the remarkable rock art panel, I never get tired to look at this panel.

12/7/2022 The Wall, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - When I saw a map at the Painted Desert Inn kiosk, I wanted to see The Wall for while. The Wall is long and made by clay rather than rock walls. By The Wall, there are many clay mountains/hills without trees or bushes or weeds, just like ocean waves, all those are beautiful red color.

12/8/2022 Homolovi State Park, Winslow, AZ - Purpose of re-visit this park is to see what they have petroglyphs in the visiter center, they have only one replica of human figure, which original one is located in the Hopi reservation and not open to the public. Anyway I’m glad re-visited this park, because I found many petroglyphs that I’ve missed at last time. Ranger doesn’t tell you but when get Homolovi II, walk around bottom of the hill, there are many petroglyphs panels.

12/10/2022 East Valley, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Northeast of the East Valley that the last part of my journey for this area to explore and did it today. My expectation of the rock art is always high for the new area and no expectation here. There are many nice rocks/boulders that suite for the rock art but I found none. I was disappointed but way back I found some petroglyphs on the ground level that cheered me up.

12/11/2022 Holbrook Rock Art, AZ - Around Holbrook, there are tons of rock arts, I was hoping to find some rock arts in the Holbrook city limit. Finally I found some, not many, petroglyphs in the Holbrook city limit, just north side of the I-40. Currently I’m concentrating to find rock art every I-40 exits from the Winslow to Holbrook, couple more to go.

12/16/2022 Award Ceremony, Klagetoh, AZ - I was invited to take photos of the Klagetoh Veterans Nonprofit Organization Navajo Nation Award Ceremony. Mateo Shenale, founder/treasure of the organization, gave the way awards, sadly a half of the award recipients were absent. At the end of the ceremony, award recipients and veterans got a heavy winter jacket that keep warm everyone, where out side is cold and remnant of snow on the shaded area on the ground.

12/19/2022 Holbrook Hike, AZ - This is continuation of 12/11 hike. I thought I can hike farther, but there are many wire fences that stopped me. Today was a nice sunny day and enjoy to hike up on the hill, however last couple days were sunny but very cold, I didn’t want to go to out side.

12/21/2022 Clear Creek, Winslow, AZ - Someone mentioned me that there are petroglyphs in the Clear Creek only access by boat. Today I’ve hiked from top of the mesa to look down the creek. This segment of the creek walls are very high and narrow creek. Even I couldn't go down, I enjoyed look down the beautiful creek. If you have a canoes or kayak, this is a wonderful place to be.

12/22/2022 West of St Johns, AZ - I wanted to hike around the confluence of the Little Colorado River and Zuni River, but ground was still muddy by last rain that a few days ago, I didn’t go too far, cut short. Stopped by near the red rock area to enjoy the short hike.

12/24/2022 Sevenmile Draw, South of Holbrook, AZ - Today I learned a road that much easier to get to the Tenmile Draw and Sevenmile Draw. I heard that there are rock art panels after the drop down the dry falls on the Sevenmile Draw, I was wishing to see it from the top of the mesa hike to look down the draw, however canyon walls are too high and all I saw was rusting rocks. I had a chance to hike down to the bottom of the canyon before dry falls and enjoyed some petroglyphs.

12/25/2022 Hibbard, East of Winslow, AZ - I found many rock art panels along the I-40 between Winslow to Holbrook. I saw nice rocks covered hills east side of the Hibbard exit, when driving on I-40, I thought I can find some rock art panels there. I’ve hiked today, there are many nice rocks and boulders but no rock art found. Disappointed but still thinking got be there.
