4/1/2022 Harcurar RA, AZ - This is a roadside attraction on the highway 60 just west of town of the Harcurar. Crumbled boulders some how stack up each other and petroglyphs are on it. The wire fences are both sides of the boulder. There are many nice rocks around here but RAs are only this boulder.

4/3/2022 Bell Trail RA, Coconino National Forest, AZ - I found some RAs but not so interesting by fading out and didn’t carved deep enough, can’t tell what figures are. This is a busy trail because there is a natural hole/pool, called Crack at Wet Beaver Creek, many young people heading to the pool. Well I’ll visit the crack next time.

4/4/2022 Red Tank Draw, Coconino National Forest, AZ - To hike on the draw, just like hopping on the rock after rocks, there are so many rocks to hike on and scramble up. Both sides of the draw cliffs are full of the RAs, and easy to miss it, because attention to footing. I found many RAs, but I am sure there are many more to find it.

4/6/2022 Stoneman Lake, Coconino National Forest, AZ - A good size mountain lake, which is the one of the natural lakes in Arizona, has no water in it. This lake is a seasonal lake, whenever heavy rain or heavy snow that accumulate here to become the lake, otherwise dry lake. Surrounding the lake is all green.

4/6/2022 Mormon Lake, Coconino National Forest, AZ - This is the largest natural lake in Arizona. Seems to not enough water in the lake, I can see the brown glass growing and brown land is showing. There is a snow on the higher mountain top that can see it from this lake.

4/6/2022 Lake Mary, Coconino National Forest, AZ - This is a long narrow reservoir, least a few miles long. It was off season, there is no one to enjoy lake activities. It was windy and lake water is brown.

4/8/2022 White Mesa, Navajo Indian Reservation, AZ - Today was big disappointment day. A couple took me to the trailhead and told me there are many petroglyphs, they called pictures on stone, I’ve hiked mesa to mesa to mesa to mesa, but nothing there, I don'’t know why they gave me a false information.

4/9/2022 Recapture Reservoir, Blanding, UT - It is located by the highway, but very quiet reservoir. Water level is very low. Surrounding by nice rock cliffs, but no rock arts or maybe not discovered it yet.

4/9/2022 Comb Ridge West, Bluff, UT - I don’t believe that Comb Ridge east is fee area now, $5/person/day or $10/week. However Comb Ridge West is still free of charge. East and west have totally different view of the Comb Ridge. I enjoy nice view of west side today.

4/11/2022 Rosy Canyon, Colorado City, AZ - I wanted to come this area for while, it was overdue. I found many rock art panels, today was a good day. Many panels are need to scramble up to hike up to get to the bottom of the higher cliff walls. I saw a few pictographs and couple ruins beside the many petroglyphs.

4/12/2022 Little Creek Mesa, Apple Valley, UT - This place is located just north of Arizona-Utah border. The road is all dirt road, some place is very rocky, need good tires and high clearance to driver here. I found petroglyphs sites that couple separate places. All petroglyphs are on the ground level, easy to miss it. Lake is a oasis to many animals.

4/14/2022 Fort Deseret, Delta, UT - It is a roadside attraction, highway 257. Only standing in this place is the adobe fence. Inside the fence is nothing but growing the weeds. This fort was protect settlers against from the attach of local Utes.

4/14/2022 Great Stone Face, Delta, UT - Fenced out petroglyphs boulder. There are many rocks/boulders but only this boulder has petroglyphs. A large boulder on the mountain is the face of Joseph Smith. The road to come to this place is well maintained dirt road.

4/14/2022 Devils Kitchen, Fillmore, UT - The road to get this place is narrow and some place confusing because many roads. I found many petroglyphs that west face of the base of the barsalt outcrop. Some petroglyphs are faded out, even doesn’t come out on the photos.

4/15/2022 Fremont Indian State Park, UT - In this state park, there are many rock arts, both petroglyphs and pictographs, heavy concentration of rock art is the visitor center and museum area. They have a few hiking trails and can see the rock arts on the way. Couple rock arts are in the sealed caves, like a in the jails.

4/17/2022 Ivie Creek, UT - Used red pigment for this pictographs that located in upper Ivie Creek which the road is parallel to I-70, just west of the Ivie Creek rest area and higher side of the cliff wall under the overhanging cliff. I didn’t scramble up to the site, instead of took photos from the road.

4/17/2022 Rochester Panel, Emery, UT - I was hoping to find the pictographs by the Rochester Panel, which is 4ft high and red color, unfortunately I didn’t find it. I was there, visit the Rochester Panel and enjoy the amazing panel.

4/19/2022 Rochester Ridge Rock Art, Emery, UT - It is located east side of the Rochester Panel. One local told me, there are a few rock art panels in this ridge, I was lucky to find one today. This panel is smaller panel but carved deep enough, a means very clear petroglyphs.

4/20/2022 Rochester Ridge, Emery, UT - I was looking for the rock art panels but I couldn’t find it today. There are nice rock walls for the rock arts at time to time but no petroglyphs nor pictographs. At the end of the road which is the end of the ridge, was incredible view point that cheered me up.

4/21/2022 Birds Arm Red Man Panel, Rochester Creek, Emery, UT - Red man is suppose to 4ft high but he is getting old, currently he is 2ft high, his right arm is constructed with 11 birds. There are suppose to eight panels around here but I found only two panels. I wanted to see it for while, with local people’s help finally found it, very satisfy day today. Thank you Glenys for all your help.

4/22/2022 Museum of the San Rafael, Castle Dale, UT - Inside the museum is nicely divided to three different rooms, dinosaur, archaeology and living history. Those rooms are not so big but neat way to organized.

4/23/2022 Rochester Ridge, UT - Today is the third day I am hiking here at the Rochester Ridge to find some more rock art. I came up opposite side of the Rochester Panel the Rochester Creek is between. Just like drone view of the Rochester Panel, there are some people and view was spectacular.

4/24/2022 Hidden Valley, Emery County, UT - This area is seldom visited and no houses around, also no traffic, but road is paved all the way. There are a few canyons around here, I’ve hiked and found some rock art, mainly pictographs. There are many rocks/boulders and shelters, fun place to hide.

4/25/2022 Ascending Sheep Panel, Emery County, UT - When I saw the panel, my first reaction was, what’s a small figure. Ascending Sheep panel is about 6 inches high that much smaller than I expected, but full of details. All red color pictographs under the overhanging cliff. On the road to get it that 3 miles hike, and came back on the dry creek that 1.5 miles.

4/26/2022 Muddy Creek Hike, Emery, UT - Road condition is good until 'End of Emery County Road Maintenace' sign. Just behind the sign there is parking area that my Trailhead today. Hiked all the way on the ATV road, restriction is less than 66 inches wide and low tire pressure, hiked 5 miles one way along the Muddy Creek. There is a old road after 'No Moter Vihicles' sign that goes to the top of the mesa, on this old road, trees and bushes are growing, no longer called the road.

4/27/2022 Three Best Frind Panel, Emery, UT - Glenys took me to the site, which is only local knows place, there are three panels, three best friend panel, two snakes panel and one large vertical snake with a deel panel. There are many nice boulders for the rock art but selected only particular ones. Thank you Glenys for show me around, I never find it without your help.

4/29/2022 Muddy Creek Rock Art, Emery, UT - There are suppose to or use to many rock art panels in this area, but most of are faded out. I found some, one red color busy pictograph panel is way high up on a ledge at the bottom of the top cliff wall. To look at from the road, my neck hurts because too high to look up.

4/30/2022 Millers Canyon Road, Emery, UT - This road runs between town of Emery residential area to I-70, pass through beautiful canyons and no traffic. There is no roadside stop areas to enjoy the view. I am guessing there are many rock art panels in the canyons area.

4/30/2022 Red Hole Draw, Ferron, UT - I’ve tried from the south side four days ago and failed because too much me to drive on ATV road. Today I’ve approached from the north, I’ve hiked 4 miles one way and succeed. There are four rock art sites, one is petroglyphs site, and all other three are rod color pigment dominated pictographs sites, which include the Funks Cave. The Funks Cave is like crashed triangle shape, one end is no room and getting taller, so that I can stand up on one end. I saw a pond/tank, water is all red.
