3/1/2021 School House Site, Agua Fria National Monument, AZ - Built 1891 School House is only foundation left, all other’s are gone, which located at the middle of the mountain, seems to not convenience place to have a school.

3/2/2021 Agate House, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - The house built with petrified woods and located atop of the small hill with nice view. There are two buildings, large one has a ladder to enter the room from the roof.

3/2/2021 Long Logs, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - There are many long logs of the petrified woods on or in the ground, must be a very large trees forest here one time. Currently there is no trees at all, bone dry desert.

3/2/2021 Giant Logs, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Just behind the Rainbow Fores Visitor Center, there are trails that easy to hike around. There are many petrified woods, but one is especially large, which called the Giant Log, Albert Einstein was here 1931.

3/3/2021 Lithodendron Wash RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - I found RAs at unexpected area, which near the parking lot of the Devils Playground, which technically outside the Petrified Forest National Park, but close enough. Petroglyphs are located one corner of the island. I thought I can find many more but I was wrong.

3/3/2021 Wildhorse Wash, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - It is beautiful and colorful area, I was expected to find many RAs but no RAs. Even no RAs found, this area need to obtain a free permit from the National Park visitor center prior to walk around.

3/5/2021 Sheep on Rocker Panel, Little Colorado River, AZ - This panel is located the west side of the Little Colorado River cliff wall. I was hiking east side of the rim to find it, there is no place to go down to the bottom of the river around here, so observed it from the other side of the river.

3/5/2021 Story Teller Panel, Little Colorado River, AZ - This site is one mile north from the Sheep on Rocker Panel. There is a way to go down to the bottom of the Little Colorado River and get closer to the panel, however water in the river and can not cross it. This panel has many figures that tell each story.

3/5/2021 Little Colorado River RA, AZ - I was lucky to find additional petroglyphs in the Little Colorado River cliff walls today. These petroglyphs were look down from the top of the mesa that other side of the river.

3/6/2021 Petroglyph Canyon, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - This place is nice short hike from the Rainbow Forest Visitor Center. Petroglyphs are located on the steep rocky hill, I photographed from the bottom of the hill, I don’t know even climb up the rocky hill. I have learned later that the way to hike up the hill and there are more petroglyphs, I’ll join the tour next time.

3/6/2021 Martha’s Butte RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Martha’s Butte is very unique appearance, can see it from the far view, if you know which one. Just one round of the bottom of the butte, I found many petroglyphs. It is a nice area and short hike from the main road.

3/7/2021 Dead Wash Overlook RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Matt and Dorenda W. are volunteer rangers and guide for this hike, which offered by Petrified Forest National Park for free of charge. Surprise thing for this hike was the petroglyphs panels located at the several places, and the best panel was the last one. Thank you both, I never find petroglyphs in this area without your guide, and I really enjoyed each panels.

3/8/2021 Hidden Cove Park RA, Holbrook, AZ - It’s in the Holbrook City Park, and guide tour is free of charge but need to make a reservation. Mike was my tour guide. 9-hole City park golf course is the next to the park. A special feature here is golf course and wildlife area are using the city’s graywater, a means nothing waist and area is nice green.

3/9/2021 Standing on Shoulder Panel, Little Colorado River, AZ - I feel like I hit a jack pot today, because this area is tons of petroglyphs with a few panels. Each panel has so many petroglyphs figures on it, but main figure is the standing on the shoulder.

3/9/2021 Mother of Game Goddess Panel, Little Colorado River, AZ - I wanted to see this panel for while, an odd thing was... seems to I know the panel location, even never been here before. I just walk-in to the front of the panel, where there are Tamarisk jungle and many animal trails.

3/9/2021 Little Colorado River RA, north of Woodruff, AZ - There are some petroglyphs but nor spectacular ones. Most of are not easy to see it or not good photo quality, but enjoyable to hike around and always hope to find a good RA.

3/10/2021 Little Colorado River Side Canyon, near Woodruff, AZ - This is a side canyon where I found some petroglyphs that mostly the mouth of the canyon. I’ve hiked all the way this side canyon, but don’t find RAs anymore.

3/10/2021 Little Colorado River Short Side Canyon, north of Woodruff, AZ - I was not expected to find any RAs in this short and small canyon, but lucky me to find some of. RAs are located on the ground level rocks, not many, and some of are looks old.

3/11/2021 Little Colorado River Bridge RA, near Woodruff, AZ - The metal bridge is not using anymore, disconnected to both sides, I don’t know the history of this bridge. Petroglyphs are located north side of the bridge and middle of the wide Little Colorado River rock cluster area.

3/11/2021 Road Side RA, Woodruff, AZ - During driving, I found couple boulders have RAs. All RAs are fading out and under the dust, but some of are still visible. It was nice surprise to find it.

3/12/2021 Lacey Point RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - I found couple nice RA panels in this area, one is hike down second layer from Lacey Point and another one is down more, at the bottom of the canyon floor. In this particular area, there are many rocks, just like finding a needle in a haystack.

3/13/2021 Starving Man RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - There are a few RA sites in this loop trail, where TH is the same as the Marther’s Butte hike. One large cube boulder has many petroglyphs for all four sides except top and bottom, where Starving Man is located. And few more RAs near this boulder.

3/15/2021 Twin Rainbow Panel, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - I found one or two petroglyphs here and there, but no spectacular panels until very last. Almost quite this parts of canyon hike to finding RA, then suddenly the panel showed up, which located on the ground level.

3/17/2021 Top Mesa Hike, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Result of yesterday’s snow storm, some ground is muddy and tried to avoid it, which means hike on the dry ground area that the reason, I choose the top mesa hike today. Look down view was very nice, and recognized the park is large in size.

3/18/2021 Long Finger Panel, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - The Lacey Point RA finding hike, finally I found RA that I was looking for, which is second fingers are all very long. Near the RA, there are beautiful wonder of the rock canyon, all rocks are no corners, and beautiful area.

3/23/2021 Crystal Forest, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Weather was not good today, this short hike is just right for the bad weather day hike. The trail is all paved and many petrified woods all over the trail. The petrified woods are large to small in size and many different colors.

3/26/2021 Petroglyph Canyon, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - There is a trail at the end of the road, which I didn›t know it and didn’t see it at last time, seems to the trail is hiding behind the boulders. I have joined the ranger guided tour today, not only finding the trail, there are many petroglyphs that not visible from the road. Muddy condition at time to time, that was not my favorite to hike on.

3/28/2021 Jasper Forest RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Today I was planning to find RAs around the Jasper Forest area because there are many rocky fields around here. I found some RAs but not much in two separate areas. However beautiful area to hike.

3/28/2021 Point of Bluffs, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Also called 'No Name Mesa'. I thought no one come here because 4 miles from the Jasper Forest parking lot, I was wrong and surprised that I met Gary and Connie, and they told me the name of the location and showed me the petroglyphs, thank you both. This place has many petroglyphs that spreading out.

3/30/2021 Jim Camp Wash RA, Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - When I saw the rocks/boulder fields, I was expected to find many RAs. I can’t find it for long time, finally I found a nice petroglyphs panel, 1/3 of this panel of petroglyphs were faded out.
