8/1/2021 Middle Fork Judith River RA, MT - Not too far from the Judith River Ranger Station, by the way the ranger station is for rent 3bdrm $60/nt. The RA site is located by the Middle Fork Judith Rive across the cabin, in small cave.

8/2/2021 Fort Benton Museum, MT - Fort Benton is the original place of the Montana, Montana state started in this place 1846. The museum is spreading to three separate areas and main museum is located by the Missouri river, which people used river to trade goods.

8/4/2021 Virgelle Ferry, MT - The ferry owned by county and free of charge to passengers. The ferry runs 3mph on Missouri River, water level is 3ft low than average, about 15 cars per day to pass the ferry.

8/4/2021 White Buffalo, Rocky Boys Indian Reservation, MT - The white buffalo pictograph is large in size and located on the south face cliff wall on the highway #234 road size. There is no sign nor mark, by the small parking lot.

8/5/2021 White Lake, southeast of Fort Benton, MT - Lake is fenced out. Still some water in the lake but will dried out soon. I’ve visited KIngsbury Lake, which is not far from the White Lake. The situation is same as White Lake, will dried out soon. Both large lake and no human water activities.

8/6/2021 Crystal Lake, Lewis and Clark National Forest, MT - Wanted to go to the Cascade Falls but water doesn’t run in August, which I didn’t know it, where June is the best time to visit to see the water falls. Water level of the Crystal Lake is very low and weeds growing in the water.

8/7/2021 Winifred Museum, MT - This museum has largest collection of Tanka Toys. The owner of toys, collected about 70 years and die at 94 years old. The museum display part of his collection of toys that around 3,000. Tanka Toy company is no longer exist

8/7/2021 Stafford Ferry, Upper Missouri Break National Monument, MT - The Missouri river is about 150 ft wide, very short ride ferry. There are many mountains surrounding it and very nice view area.

8/8/2021 Chief Joseph Battlefield, Bear Paw Battlefield Nez Perce National Historical Park, MT - This is the battlefield of Indian vs US Army. There is a 2 miles trail that cover all battlefield area that include Indian camped out area, fighting area and grave site.

8/9/2021 Mission Canyon, Hays, MT - It is located in the Indian reservation, I’ve asked that I need a permission or not, the local said no permission necessary. It is beautiful canyon both side of canyon walls are very tall. I also located the natural bridge and hole in the wall.

8/9/2021 H. Earl Clark Museum, Havre, MT - This small museum is located in the ghost shopping mall. Only a few stores open in this mall. Dinosaur bone and eggs that got my attention. This museum is free of charge for admission.

8/10/2021 Wahkpa Chu’gn Buffalo Jump, Havre, MT - Back of the Holiday Village Mall, and cliff side is the buffalo jump area, just like shopping mall is hiding it. There are many bones in first 2 buildings. It is tour only and tour guide called bison instead of buffalo.

8/11/2021 Fresno Reservoir, MT - This is a large and long reservoir, located northwest of Havre. Sad thing water level is very low and all boat ramps are up higher and disconnected from the water. Even water level is low, release the some water daily because down there people are depending on this water.

8/11/2021 Blaine County Museum, Chinook, MT - There are many sections inside the building and nicely organized. In the basement, some of are I never figured out.

8/11/2021 Sleeping Buffalo Resort, MT - They have two good size rocks that petroglyphs are on. I can’t tell what figures are but circles and lines are still visible. I came here to soak in the hot springs pool before but I never know petroglyphs rocks exist here.

8/12/2021 Indian Lake, MT - It is a large size lake that bone dry, some grasses are growing that little more greener than outside, where outside grasses are brown. I saw a head of the bison about 50 of them.

8/12/2021 Indian Medicine Rock, MT - A large size red color rock, there are petroglyphs all over, no separation of one figure to another, many figures are atop of already existing figures. It was not easy to find it, because fence surrounding it, I thought that the private property, and rock is not visible until close to it.

8/12/2021 Wapati Reservoir, MT - It is a small reservoir, a few cows enjoy there. It has water in it, where near Indian Lake is totally dry. It is located on the flat area but some how hiding from the view.

8/14/2021 Pioneer Museum, Glassgrow, MT - 'Middle of Nowhere' is the catch mark of this museum, and they have own definition of nowhere. They have many actual size of taxidermy for all kind animals.

8/14/2020 Pioneer Museum RA, Glassgow, MT - The RA rock is just out side of the entrance of the museum, which donated from the Engstrom Ranch and it is glacial erratic. Museum lady provided me more clear picture, a means chalking it on the rock picture, which I took some.

8/15/2021 Wolf Point, MT - Old Wolf Point Bridge is no longer using but keep it for the memory and tourist attraction, which cross the Yellow River that wide and beautiful river.

8/15/2021 Crow Rock, MT - Cheyenne Indian masscred about 20 of the Crow Indian at this place. It is in the private property, thank you Jerry, owner, for gave me a permission to walk around. It was over 100°F temperature, only one mile hike but it was brutal hike.

8/17/2021 12 Mile Dam, MT - The dam is not so tall, about 6 or 7 ft high, below dam is visible but not above. Seems to full of water in the dam, Tangue River that end up to the Yellowstone River.

8/22/2021 Black Pyramid Mountain, Custer National Forest, MT - This is very noticeable mountain and just like a pyramid. It is located south of town of Red Lodge. Lake Fork Creek and Main Fork Rock Creek merge here and both have good flow of water.

8/23/2021 Bridger RA Site, MT - This is a private property. I was lucky that Tom, owner, was working near the gate, when asked you have RAs or not, and he said 'yes' and let me into his property and hiked. I found some petroglyphs, thank you Tom.

8/24/2021 Weatherman Draw RA #1, Bridger, MT - Not much information about the Weatherman Draw RA. This place is not good place after heavy rain because road became mud and part of trail became wetland. RAs are all pictographs with red and yellow colors. I saw a few alcoves.

8/25/2021 Weatherman Draw RA #2, Bridger, MT - Kiosk show 'Largest Collection of Indian Rock Art in North America'. Yesterday I found 10 pictographs, today one, total 11 is not largest collection of RA in North America. Which means there are tons of RAs in this area and no one knows it that strange to me.

8/26/2021 Weatherman Draw RA #3, MT - North side of trail hike today. There are many nice rocks and cliff walls, but no RAs. I found one petroglyph that some one traced atop of original figure, which is like a pig figure, maybe not so old this one. Nice view area.

8/28/2021 Pryor Mountain Road RA, Bridger, MT - It is road side and hike up the hill to see it. I found some petroglyphs in one place where there are many rocks around here. Thank you Krystal for the information.

8/29/2021 Sage Creek Cave, MT - There are many caves and alcoves around here, and this is one of them. In the large cave, there are some small caves inside, just like many bed rooms. Some one told me there are RAs inside, but I found only graffiti.

8/30/2021 Weatherman Draw RA #5, Bridger, MT - It was long 12 miles hike, up & down many times on the hills, but beautiful place to hike. Fortunately I found two RA sites, both very faded out pictographs. There are many nice places to find the RAs in the view.
