7/1/2020 Legend Rock RA, WY - I am try to find RA in the Cottonwood Creek, and Legend Rock site is located a part of the creek, so that quick stop to say 'hi' to old friends. At this time, there is no key to require nor present caretaker to talk to, free to walk in.

7/2/2020 Lower Sunshine Reservoir, Meeteetse, WY - Turquoise blue color water reservoir, color changes at the time of the day. its large in size, surrounding by mountains and hills. There is the Sunshine Reservoir near by, which I didn’t go.

7/3/2020 Mummy Cave, west of Cody, WY - I learned there are RA in the Mummy Cave from the museum, but no RA, even I don’t call it for a cave, just an opening. Anyway, I was disappointed to not to see the RA, maybe RA were existed but no longer, I guess...

7/4/2020 Ten Sleep 4th of July, WY - When I got at the town of Ten Sleep, 4th of July parade started. Town of population more than double to watch the parade. I didn’t see anyone wear the face mask, and social distance doesn’t apply here. Seems to everyone enjoy the parade, then in the park after that.

7/4/2020 Canyon Creek, near Ten Sleep, WY - Someone told me there are RA in the Canyon Creek, but I couldn’t find it. Some weeds are taller then me, it was not easy to trail finding, but quiet and nice area.

7/5/2020 Ice Cave, nw of Kaycee, WY - The Ice cave is vertical cave with rounding opening, about 20ft diameter or so, not so big, but no way to get down or get into the cave to see the ice, even can’t tell how deep this cave is. The cave is surrounding by wire fence.

7/7/2020 Medicine Creek Cave RA, WY - I asked a few people, but no one know where this place is located. Anyway lucky me to find it from the map and owner of the ranch not just let me in, he gave me a tour. There are many petroglyphs both side of clack like cave walls. Thank you the owner of the ranch, I really enjoyed it.

7/9/2020 Davis Draw, North Cave Hills, SD - The North Cave Hills that RA are located. It is a grassland, and grasses are one to four feet high, and to get RA, cross county hike, not easy hike.

7/11/2020 North Cave Hills Day 1, SD - From across the canyon, about 100 ft of bird’s distance, I have to round the hills and creeks to get it, it was about 5 miles. Seems to RA are not so old that was disapppinted.

7/11/2020 Ludlow Cave RA, North Cave Hills, SD - I started hiking, because the road condition was bad. There is no sign, and many cow trails that confused me, but finally I found the cave. The cave is full of graffiti rather than RA, but I managed to find some RA.

7/14/2020 Petrified Forest of the Black Hill, SD - This place is privately owned it. There is a hiking trail loop, less than a mile long. There are all numbered that matched to hand out paper to explain. There are many petrified woods, but far from beautiful.

7/15/2020 Pactola Dam & Reservoir, SD - It is a blue water reservoir, and background is green mountains. There are many nice tall trees mainly pine trees that purpose for flood control, supply to irrigation and recreation use.

7/16/2020 Bear Butte SP, SD - This Bear Butte is standing in the middle of the grass field that visible from miles. It is a beautiful mountains, but I don’t know that history. There is a nice lake that located across from the road.

7/16/2020 Full Throttle Saloon, SD - CR #79 roadside, all metal sculptures are large in size, more like a museum rather than saloon. Seems to there are many projects going on on the property, fun to see the final there result some day.

7/16/2020 The Castles, Custer Gallatin NF, SD - Large white rocks called the castles. Beautiful area to explore. There are many medium to small size of the white rocks around here beside the Castles.

7/17/2020 North Cave Hills Day 2, SD - Today’s lesson was to find caves, because RA are in the caves. There are many small caves to medium ones, but not all caves have RA, but RA is in the cave. I found 2 RA sites in 2 different caves today.

7/19/2020 North Cave Hills Day 3, SD - It was tough hike because hiked in the tall grasses and weeds area with no trails, I am not sure worth hike to finding RA here or not, I think that the why I didn’t see anyone around here. I found 3 RA sites but not impressed RA.

7/20/2020 North Cave Hills Day 4, SD - Try to start hiking, morning rain started, waited rain to stop and dry little. I saw some small caves, but only one cave has RA. It was hot day.

7/21/2020 Capitol Rock, MT - Near the South Dakota border, white large rocks standing atop of the mountain, visible from far distance. Around here is all green, nothing white except the Capitol Rock.

7/21/2020 Cartea County Museum, Ekalaka, MT - Amazing thing about this museum is, built with the petrified woods, that collected near by ranches. All volunteer labors to built this museum that a special, isn’t it?

7/22/2020 Rosebud County Museum, Forsyth, MT - Every thing very organized, many items are donated or rented from the locals. Museum worker is a very knowledgeable but very unfriendly, that surprised me, because of that person, I won’t come back to this museum or recommended this museum to anyone.

7/22/2020 Howrey Island Recreation Area, MT - Parts of the Lewis and Clark National Historical Trail is located in this park, which is the side of the Yellow Stone River that wide and beautiful quiet river.

7/23/2020 Isaac Homestead WMA, MT - By the Yellowstone River, there are many weeds and grasses are growing. Seems to WMA means same as do nothing, least here, just vegetation to grow, so that animal and birds can enjoy. Am I right?

7/23/2020 Four Dances Cliff, Billings, MT - Four Dances Natural Area host told me to go to other side of the Yellowstone River to see the RA. I went Coulson Park, other side of the river, to look up the cliff, but RA is fading and too far to see it.

7/23/2020 1st KOA, Billings, MT - Currently around 500 KOAs do exist and all independently owned, franchised. But this place is the 1st KOA originated, lot of trees and space between sites, this is one of the best KOAs.

7/23/2020 Charles Ringer Art Studio, Juliet, MT - Original his arts are displayed in his property, which can see from driving. Juliet is a small town, not much to see it, but this art studio got an attention, unfortunately it was closed.

7/23/2020 Corbonado RA, Juliet, MT - I’ve asked a few residents about RA site, but no-one knows RA site does exist. It is in the private property, cross the fire fence to hike up the hill. Some of RA are old but most of are not so old. Many cows to deal with this place.

7/25/2020 Upper Missouri Breaks National Monument, MT - Missouri River go through the National Monument. Boat access to the river is popular activity and fishing too, but I didn’t see anyone here, wonder why?

7/26/2020 Sleeping Buffalo Rock RA, MT - CR #2 road side, this special rocks are under the own shelter. Native people are come here to respect and bring many small gift for these rocks, such as tobacco, food, money and more.

7/27/2020 Woodbottom, MT - Missouri River side quiet and nice view of the river and hills. Even I can’t hear the river is running. A police office told me to camp here because a good place and best thing was free of charge, thank you office for the information.

7/28/2020 Square Butte, MT - This flat top Square Butte is visible from far distance. It’s igrreous rock butte rising 2,500 ft above the valley. Also I found interesting white rock formation across the road.

7/28/2020 Shonkin Sag, MT - Ancient river that drained glacial meltwater from the Lake Grate Falls, and created U-shaped valley that many smaller sizes but large one is one mile wide and 500 ft deep. What I saw was grassland hills.

7/28/2020 Ryan Dam, Great Falls, MT - Beautiful waterfalls just below the dam, which water released from the dam very nice way to coordinate natural waterfalls and dam. The old dam building is one side of the dam.

7/29/2020 First Peoples Buffalo Jump SP, MT - Upper side of the cliff is one mile long. It’s a prairie and cliff is not visible from the other side. Buffalo runner jumped the cliff, short-sighted and full speed of group of buffalo follwe to jump the cliff, which killed buffalo.

7/29/2020 Montana Historical Society, Helena, MT - Ellison’s petroglyphs rock had been moved here, so that I wanted to see it. There are a few rock arts are displayed, I don’t know its original or re-created. It is a large size museum.

7/31/2020 Garden of thousand Buddhas, Arlee, MT - There are many, a means 1,000 of small, about 10 inches high on top of 3 inches base, white Buddhas in this area. Which used the same mold to create it. There are some more large size Buddhas near the pond.
