9/1/2019 Glendive Dinosaur Fossil Museum, MT - This museum opens only 2 days/week, Friday and Saturday, 10am - 5pm. Which I didn’t know it and missed it, today is Sunday. I went the Frontier Gateway Museum, that conveniently located the next block.

9/2/2019 Theodore Roosevelt National Park North Unit, ND - Cannonball Concretion is the unique attraction in this park, amazingly there are many cannonballs exist here. I saw about three dozens bison today in far view. The Little Missouri River is runs center of of this park.

9/3/2019 Caprock Coulee Trail, Theodore Roosevelt National Park North unit, ND - Weather was just perfect for hiking today. I’ve hiked one loop of this trail about 4.5 miles. This is more like a rim hike, when got up atop of the mesa, view is just gorgeous for both mountain side and Little Missouri River side.

9/5/2019 Earth Lodge Village, New Town, ND - There are reconstructed earth lodges, the ceremonial lodge is large insise. Those earth lodges are wood frames inside and dirt outside and built by women. A guide explained tribes of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara history. We walk on the hills that behind the lodges to see the metal sculptures.

9/6/2019 United Tribes International Powwow, Bismarck, ND - This is the largest pow-wow I never seen. There are estimated nearly 2,000 dancers, they wear colorful, unique and beautiful regalia. Use United Tribes Technical College campus, its became campground everywhere. All profit from this event goes to the scholarship.

9/7/2019 Art Alley, Bismarck, ND - Couple alleys in the downtown of Bismarck, there are large size and beautiful murals. They have a plan to expand to have some more alley art in future.

9/7/2019 On-A-Slant Indian Village, Fort Abraham Lincoln SP, ND - There were 86 earth lodges originally, and reconstructed 6 of, and open for the public. It is the same concept as the Earth Lodge Village in New Town.

9/7/2019 Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, ND - There are more than the On-A-Slant Indian Village in this park, such as the site of Old Fort Lincoln that currently the field, Cavalry Post that some recreated buildings there, Custer House, and Infantry Post that some recreated buildings.

9/11/2019 Palisades State Park, SD - It is beautiful pink rock creek, which located at middle of the farmer fields. The Split Rock Creek is the center of the park that divided to both sides. Even weather is not good, I enjoy walk around here.

9/11/2019 Sculpture Garden, Wennebago, NE - In the Indian reservation, this garden has sculptures on the circle, most of are their hero. One outside the circle sculpture is a good quality.

9/12/2019 Morrill Hall, University of Nebraska State Museum, Lincoln, NE - Their collection of variety of science fields are amazing. Total 4 floors to exhibits, display tons items, and each one has labeled with explanation. Need to get long meter parking time, otherwise no time to read it. It is one of the finest museums in USA.

9/13/2019 Kansas City Public Library, Kansas City, MO - I didn’t know that 2 Kansas City Public Library exist, one in KS and one in MO. Large book murals outside of the parking garage, not library building, which I wanted to see for while.

9/13/2019 Money Museum, Kansas City, MO - It is the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. This place is the money distributing center rather than making money. They do give the way shredded money to visitors, one small sack of money made by about $150.

9/14/2019 Great Mural Wall, Topeca, KS - Three sides of large mural walls are painted by many different artists and each one has own theme. Very large nice mural walls to enjoy here.

9/14/2019 Rock City, KS - Dark half dome figured rocks in this park. It is not a large area, relatively smaller, and located middle of the farmer field.

9/14/2019 World’s Largest Czech Egg, Wilson, KS - There is the largest Christmas decorated egg under the roof. This egg is dominated by black color and some red, white and yellow.

9/14/2019 Garden of Eden, Lucas, KS - Human figured concrete sculptures are all over high up in the residential area. There are more than Adam and Eve, like entire community population gathered.

9/15/2019 Mt Sanflower, KS - This is the highest point in state of Kansas, 4,039 ft. It is in the private property, and owner allowed us to free to get in, but need to deal with cows. At the center of the prairie and no need to hike here, just drive up.

9/15/2019 Monument Rock, KS - Standing large white rocks at middle of the farmer field that unique phenomenon. White rocks are mixed with gray, cream colors layers. It is located in the private property but open for the public.

9/16/2019 Pawnee Rock State Historic Site, KS - This site is located halfway point of the Santa Fe Trail. It is the hill, not too high, but higher enough to observe the people pass through the Santa Fe Trail. Around 1820s, there were heavy traffic, many wagons passed by this point.

9/16/2019 Mushroom Rock State Park, KS - There are 2 or 3 nice large mushroom figured rocks in this park, not many but unique. All others are cap of mushrooms on the ground like.

9/16/2019 Kanopolis Lake, KS - North shore of the Kanopolis Lake is full of petroglyphs, but unfortunately closed for public by some trails are damaged by storm, will open next year, some of are permanently closed to the public because unstable ground. I took photos from the Corp of Engineers Information Center display.

9/17/2019 Faris Cave, KS - 3 man-made caves here and some spring water running out from one of the cave. I learned there are peroglyphs but graffiti took over in this area. Even I don't want to bother to see some petroglyphs under the graffiti.

9/18/2019 Palmers Cave, KS - Also called the Cave Hollow. Front end of the cave was collapsed few years back and lost all petroglyphs for forever. Currently there are tons of graffiti. Also I have visited some more small caves near by, all I saw was graffiti...sad! Branda: he is a knowledgeable person and took me to the right spot, thank you for your help, without your help I never find it. Petro photos are from the Kansas Historical Society website.

9/20/2019 Under Ground Salt Mine, Hutchinson, KS - 1,000 acres of under ground salt mine that has many large room like opening area, which already done the mining. The tour include to ride the train and dark ride, fun to ride those. Air circulation was very good than I expected.

9/20/2019 Cosmosphere, Hutchinson, KS - It is a space museum. Information about Apollo to the Moon and display the rock from the moon and many more. I though this is funny because they brought the SR-71 A Blackbird first, it is very large airplane, then built a building around it. This Blackbird is the world’s fastest spyplane faster than rifle bullet, maximum speed 2,200 miles/h and altitude 16 miles. Fly state of Kansas East to West in 10 min, NY to London less than 2 hrs.

9/20/2019 M.T. Liggett Art Environment, Mullinville, KS - It is located at the corner of the field, one block of West and North are full of metal sculptures, there are a lot of. Some of are colored, and some of are not. Some of have name and some of are not. I guess artist enjoyed to creating those.

9/21/2019 Big Well, Greensburg, KS - The world’s largest hand-dug well. It is much bigger than expected, 1888 32 ft cross 109 ft deep, 30 men spent 8 months and 50 cents/day to dug it using shovels, picks, half barrels, pulleys and ropes.

9/21/2019 Dorothy’s House, Liberal, KS - This is the Dorothy’s House, The Land of OZ. Behind her house, there is a large building that the Land of Oz setup, and tour guide who is acting like a Dorothy follow the yellow brick road to showed me all.

9/22/2019 Carrizo Canyon RA, CO - The petroglyphs site is not far from the TH, which is the picnic area. There is one panel has few petroglyphs on it, but not many. Some people are here to fishing, it is a nice area.

9/22/2019 Arch Rock Trail, Picture Canyon, CO - Suppose to 4.2 miles hike, but missing signs that cost me 6 miles hike. Also I didn’t see the Arch Rock because of lack of sign. However one area, after climb up short steep rock surface, amazing view, beautiful rock formation with color that worth to hike here.

9/23/2019 Picture Canyon RA, CO - I found 4 different areas have RA. There are many graffiti, some of are draw atop of the petroglyphs, and very difficult to find which is the petroglyphs that I am looking for.

9/23/2019 Equinox RA tour, Picture Canyon, CO - This happen only twice per year, I am lucky to join them, thank you Leneha for an invitation. We started hiking at 5:30 am in the dark, when we reached at the cave/clack, we have only few minutes each to see it, only time for to take few pictures, but I really enjoy this tour.

9/23/2019 Holt Canyon RA, CO - The location is 3/4 miles East from the Holt Canyon, but close enough. I found 2 separate panels, one is older than others, both have few petroglyphs. However to get to this place, the road is my limit of ability to drive, glad I made it. Thank you Leneha for the information.

9/24/2019 Vogal Canyon RA, CO - I found 3 different areas of RA, not too far each other. The RA panels are several to many figures in it but some of are already faded out and can’t recognized it. There are many graffiti and holes by gun shots to destroy the RA, sad to see it.

9/25/2019 Largest Dinosaur Tracksite in the World, Picketwire Canyon, CO - 11 miles of hike, RT, to get this place. There are suppose to 1,300 dinosaur tracks in this area, but most of are filled with dirt, they need to clean it up some times. There are homestead house, cemetery, dinosaur bone that we can see along the way. Rattlesnake welcomes me and lucky to found some rock art.

9/25/2019 Picketwire Canyon RA, CO - 3 distinguished RA sites to visit, one site is a tiny than others. I didn’t know the exact location of the RA, so that lucky to find it. There are many boulders and nice cliff walls at high up, possible to find some more RA in this area.

9/26/2019 Trinchera Creek RA, Fort Gardand, CO - Currently I am doing treasure hunting for the rock art, RA. I have stopped by to the local museum to find the location of this site. There are very nice cliff walls for RA, but that untouched. This RA site is off the nice cliff wall area. Unbelievable thing was they made a hole/tunnel in the mountain to get water from other side of the mountain reservoir.

9/27/2019 Rio Grande RA, near Antonito, CO - I found couple RA places north side of the Lobato Bridge, not too many figures for both sites. I didn’t know that the Rio Grande starts not far from this area.

9/28/2019 Rio Grande South, near Antonito, CO - Hiked 10.2 miles south of the Lobato Bridge but empty handed today, no RA find. I thought there is a trail near the Rio Grande, but no trail, so that I’ve hiked on the road, if I knew it, I drived. Oh well...some times happen for the RA treasure hunting. Beautiful Rio Grande view make not totally disappointed.

9/29/2019 Penitente Canyon Recreation Area, CO - This is a popular place for the rock climbers. There is a pictographs panel by the parking lot. Also the Virgin of Guadalupe that human size figure about 40 ft high wall that local community people painted long time ago.

9/30/2019 Natural Arch, San Luis Valley, CO - A large arch at the middle of the cliff wall, just like a shape of pinto bean. One sign said 1 mile to the arch but actually 2.3 miles drive on the mountain road from that sign.

9/30/2019 Witches Canyon RA, Penitente Canyon Recreation Area, CO - Small alcove like area that this panel is located, which can’t see from the hiking trail, and I missed it at first time. Used black and red pigments to painted holding hand of human figures.
