10/1/2019 English Valley RA, north of Del Norte, CO - I missed it at first time, but found it at second time. There are many boulders and cliff walls but untouched except this one. It is fading out and not clear but worth it to try.

10/3/2019 High School Home Coming Parade, Del Norte, CO - About 400 students from the kindergarten to high school except middle school, parade on the main street, which means football season starts after this parade.

10/4/2019 Pronghorn, near Del Norte, CO - I was expected about 8 miles hike, but weather changed quickly and cut short to 4 miles hike. Nice view around here and expected to find RA, but not this time.

10/4/2019 Old Spanish Trail, near Del Norte, CO - The trail from this point to Los Angeles, CA, is called the Old Spanish Trail. Display the memory of rocks, which has modern petroglyphs on it, are placed by the Highway #16 and Rd #5120, by the side of the road.

10/4/2019 Limekiln Creek, southeast of Del Norte, CO - Rock formation is just gorgeous here, can spend all day to just look. I’ve hike around to find RA, which someone mentioned me, but empty handed. View is nice, no complained.

10/5/2019 Rio Grande Scenic Railroad, Alamosa to La Veta, CO - Train ride from Alamosa to La Veta and return the same way, that took all day, 8 hrs ride for 50 miles, highest point was 9,400 ft. Rashmi & Nitin: It was nice to meet you, I hope you enjoy a hot springs.

10/7/2019 Rio Grande South RA, CO - This is my 2nd try, finally found it. It’s couple miles south from the Lobato Bridge, west side. Possible to drive up to the site. All petroglyphs are faded out and some of are not easy to recognized, but I’m glad I found it.

10/8/2019 Cumbres " Toltec Scenic Railroad, CO - Trains run between Antonito, CO, and Chama, NM. Two trains start both end at the same time, one way train ride, then bus back. There are several options how to ride. I took bus to get from Antonito to Chama, then train back. Couple good things of this ride is, dual locomotives ride from Chama to first segment, and end a day earlier. There are many spectacular golden fall foliage to enjoy. Dining hall at lunch time was packed people of two trains passengers. Rashmi & Nitin: If you are reading this, I strongly recommended this train ride.

10/9/2019 Colorado Highway #17, CO - From Antonito to Chama, NM, this highway is full of gold/yellow color. Yesterday, I rode a bus to get to Chama to ride a train, bus didn’t stop, so today visited this highway to enjoy the golden color, it was just in time.

10/9/2019 Hot Creek State Wildlife Area, near La Jara, CO - I was hoping that the creek water is hot enough and maybe soak into the hot creek, but that not the case, water was cold. There are very nice cliff walls, but no RA. The parking area is on the higher side of the mesa and hike down to get to the bottom of the creek, where is a nice place to walk around.

10/10/2019 Jack Dempsey Birthplace, Manassa, CO - World Heavyweight boxing champion on 1919, Jack Dempsey’s birthplace of log house, which seems to re-created, is located Colorado highway #142 roadside in town of Manassa, with memorial park.

10/12/2019 Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, NM - It is a beautiful area than expected because of the Rio Grande, just like hike in the Grand Canyon, little smaller scale. The hiking trails are all maintained, and can enjoy a nice hike here, however down hill is no problem but up hill is one step at a time.

10/12/2019 Wild River RA, Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, NM - Main RA area has many petroglyphs, one top rounded boulder has petroglyphs on top, climb up to take photos. Also I saw that here and there one or two petroglyphs on the rocks/boulders.

10/14/2019 Pick Your Poison Trail Race, Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, NM - 5K and 10K races, only one group for each, a means men, women, youth or old all combined. Started on the mesa, which means downhill first then uphill to end.

10/14/2019 Cimarron Canyon State Park, NM - This State Park is located NE of NM, the canyon runs between mountains. Fishing is the main attraction of the park. The park divided to five segments along the creek. I purchased an annual out state camping pass that can use for all NM State Park, $225/yr, however NM resident will cost only $100.

10/14/2019 Eagle Nest Lake State Park, NM - It is a large lake located higher elevation, 8,258 ft. The town of Eagle Nest is surrounding the lake and mountains are all over around it. It is a popular place for the summer.

10/14/2019 Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, near Taos, NM - On the bridge, the pedestrian walk is narrow and not too much room, can touch the semi-truck pass by. The bridge is on the Rio Grande, very high up and beautiful Rio Grande view. The parking area has many vendors.

10/14/2019 La Vista Verde RA, NM - The trail is not long, at the end the Rio Grand is front of the trail, very nice view, even there is a bench to enjoy the view. I found a nice RA panel that made me happy, all other RA are so-so quality. According to ranger, there are some more RA along the trail.

10/15/2019 Taos Junction Bridge Area, NM - Hiked boulder fields for while to find some RA, which was up/down/jump on the boulders - adventure hike. I found no RA that was disappointed but nice view area.

10/15/2019 Rio Pueblo Primitive Camping Area, NM - Found some RA sites, one is on the Slide Trail, others are in the camping area, which is south side of the Taos Junction Bridge.

10/16/2019 Mesa Prieta Petroglyphs Tour, Velarde, NM - How lucky I am, to join the tour, where this group was a RA tour that the exactly I wanted. The tour was 2 hr and one mile hike. There are many petroglyphs on the individual rocks/boulders, some of are old and some of are not so old. The tour covered some but there are many more petroglyphs that not covered by the tour.

10/17/2019 Taos, NM - Taos Plaza that the center of the visitor attraction of this town. I’ve walk around the this plaza area. There are many adobe houses and many gallery, must be many artists living in this town.

10/17/2019 Sun Cristobal Creek, near Arroyo Hondo, NM - John Dunn Bridge is a popular place for people to hang up. One RA panel is located bottom of the tall cliff higher up, its too far for photos but I didn’t want to hike up because too steep, also I found some more petroglyphs.

10/18/2019 Rio Chama Panel, near Abiquiu, NM - The panel is on a lone boulder, between highway #84 and Rio Chama, and not far from the TH. It is a nice panel, there are many figures on it.

10/18/2019 Poshuouinge, Abiquiu, NM - This is the ruin site, use to live few thousand people that the sign said. There is no building remaining that’s strange to me, and little too far from the water sauce of creek.

10/18/2019 Plaza Blanka, Abequiu, NM - It is beautiful white rock area. However according to one of rangers, it is 90 ft of white ashes that formed rocks. It is a private property, but kindly to let public to enjoy it.

10/19/2019 Abiquiu Lake, NM - It is a nice lake, but seems to water level of lake is low, and man-made dam is way up from the water level. It’s a large lake surrounding by private properties.

10/20/2019 Heron Lake State Park, NM - Large lake, and 10 campgrounds with over 270 camp sites in this park. Water level is seems to low. Water color is depending on the time and sun location, but blue-green nice color.

10/20/2019 El Vado Lake State Park, NM - This lake is an adjacent to the Horon Lake, little south. Water level is pretty low, just like other lakes near here. This lake has a nice view.

10/21/2019 Nogales Cliff House, NM - What’s place this cliff house is located? Atop of steep slope that this cliff house is located. I walk around the lower side of the ruin area, but there are more higher up, which I don’t know how to access to it.

10/21/2019 Rattlesnake Ridge Trail, NM - There is a ruin that has good size two rooms. Also I saw 3 holes that ruin, tower or storage unit, I don’t know. To get to the parking lot from the main road, short distance, but very bad condition.

10/22/2019 Rio Chama Monastery, NM - Actual name is "Monastery of Christ in the Desert", which located at the end of County Road #151, this road is running parallel to the Rio Chama. It is a beautiful area and church and all buildings are color coordinated with background.

10/23/2019 Red Dot Trail, White Rock, NM - The canyon is much bigger and much more steeper than expected, and beautiful area. This area need full day of hike, where I started hiking was too late. But I can so full day hike some other time that sure.

10/25/2019 Prescott Gallery & Sculpture Garden, Santa Fe, NM - There are many sculptures at inside and outside the building. Indoor sculptures are smaller in size and outside sculptures are large in size. Some of are movable parts, go ahead to touch it that they told me. Very colorful and fun place to be.

10/25/2019 Origami in the Garden, NM - They open only 5/27 to 10/14, unfortunately its closed today. I took some origami sculptures photos from outside the wire fence. Most origami sculptures are large in size.

10/27/2019 Cieneguilla RA, NM - I took different route than my 1st visit. There are many petroglyphs here and there. I am sure I can find some more petroglyphs for another routes. This is a nice place to enjoy the petroglyphs.

10/29/2019 Balloon Museum, Albuquerque, NM - Actual name of this place is 'Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum'. 2 full weekend of 1st Oct of 9 days are the balloon festival. I just missed it by 2-3 weeks that one was 550 balloons and 19 countries.

10/30/2019 Manzano Mountains State Park, NM - Camping and hiking are the main attraction of this park. There are some trails in the park, but all short, if you want to long trail, there are National Forest surrounding it, and hike as long as you want.

10/30/2019 Quarai Ruins, Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, NM - Spanish Corral Trail has some petroglyphs, a problem is all flat rock surface that faded out badly. The church ruins are beautiful and still standing strong. There are many more ruins that under the dirt and no plan to excavate it.
