11/1/2019 Gotera Canyon RA, Manzano Mountains, NM - Couple days ago I’ve hiked this canyon, but totally missed it because hiding. After talk to ranger, tried again, at this time I found some pictographs. I got this canyon by go through the state park.

11/2/2019 Tome Hill SE RA, NM - 3rd time charm, I finally found a lot of petroglyphs in the southeast side of the hill, near the road and not much to hike up or down. I sound good ones are cliff side of the slope, there is a trail to get there.

11/3/2019 Hidden Mountain, NM - I was RA hunting to start, but can’t find it, change quickly to peak bagger. There are many old ruins, a means stack up rocks here and there. Shortly after summit the peak, I found the petroglyphs on the cliff size of the mountain. It was a good day.

11/3/2019 Arroyo Garcia RA, NM - I met Mike & Marry, when I was toward to my car, they showed me the petroglyphs field, a mean it is a field, there are many petroglyphs on all major rocks east side of the mountain slope. I am sure I’ll be back this area for higher side of the slope to find many more petros.

11/4/2019 Mountain Lion Picto, Otero Trail, NM - There is a yellow mountain lion pictographs with black line trimming near the Otero Trail TH. Just only yellow lion and sun like figures.

11/6/2019 Elephant Butte Lake State Park, NM - This is a large state park, entire Elephant Butte Lake and surrounding area is the state park. There are many sand beaches by the lake, and large size of marinas. It is beautiful man-made lake and Wi-Fi is available.

11/7/2019 Indian Springs, Truce or Consequences, NM - A local suggested me to soak in this place. They have two pools, large and small pools, both like a cave, inside the building. Very clean hot water came from the ground, where ground is pibble.

11/9/2019 Box Canyon, NM - This place is popular for the rock climbers. There are many beautiful rock formations and caves. I’ve been to three inside the caves, all inside is black smoke reminder that indicate some one use to live here. There are RA some place but I don’t see it.

11/9/2019 Kelly Ghost Town, NM - This ghost town is located higher side of the mountain. It was booming town one time by mining, at that time the population was 3,000. Houses hauled to the town of Magdelena, a means only building is church building.

11/9/2019 Very Large Array, NM - The National Radio Astronomy Observatory that the name of this place and facility of the National Science Foundation, which operated by Associated Universities INC. There 27 dish antennas to handle all radio wave to find out the astronomy part that coming to the this particular place.

11/9/2019 Radio Sundial, Very Large Array, NM - I wanted to know how does the radio wave sundial works? Even I was there and saw the Radio Sundial set up, still I don’t know, how different from the just sundial? I should Google it to find out some day.

11/10/2019 Salt Lake, NM - Some one told me, there are RA by the Salt Lake. There are not many rock around the lake, I checked but I find nothing. The lake is beautiful, but wire fenced out all around the lake. I wanted to taste how salty the lake water is, but impossible to do it.

11/10/2019 McKinley Ranch RA, NM - When I was disappointed to not find RA from the Salt Lake, Owner of McKinley Ranch stopped by and told me to come to their ranch, they have RA. I followed and hike through their ranch to find the RA. Thank you McKinley family to helped me out.

11/11/2019 Bluewater Lake State Park, NM - Water of lake is really beautiful dark blue color. This state park is worse NM state park I’ve been visiting. There is no water, trash can, no usable toilet, where toilet is disgusting and no toilet paper. This park needs TLC.

11/13/2019 Uranium Mining Museum, Grants, NM - This is the only Uranium museum in US. They made under Uranium museum first then built building atop of it. Uranium deposits are still there, around Grants, but mines are closed because can’t compete with cheap Russian Uranium.

11/14/2019 Grants, NM - This town was booming town one time when Uranium mines were active. After mines were closed, most business in this town couldn’t survived. Currently there is no major business to support this town. But town is try to bounce back, hopefully they will success.

11/15/2019 Arroyo Garcia RA, NM - I’ve hiked little higher side of the slope at this time and found some more petroglyphs. I wonder if hike up more higher side, still can find some more petroglyphs or not, that leave it to at next time.

11/15/2019 Ten Commandments Rock, NM - It is located lower side of the Hidden Mountain. It is writing, carved into the flat surface of a boulder, by Hebrew language, a means I don’t read or understand it. I learned that people are come here to see this rock by several buses of the group tour.

11/16/2019 Santa Rosa Lake State Park, NM - Large lake, water level is low. There is an over view area to enjoy the lake view. The park is associated with US Army Corp of Engineers. This park is located at the middle of the flat prairie area.

11/16/2019 Blue Hole, Santa Rosa, NM - Who expected scuba diving at the middle of the prairie? That’s happen here, spring water is keep coming from the bottom hole and scuba diving is popular here. The hole is 81 ft depth 60 ft diameter, 3,000 gal/min water out, and temperature 61°F.

11/16/2019 Conchas Lake State Park, NM - This state park is located at north side of the lake, where south side is mainly by US Army Corp of Engineers. Drive on the man-made dam to get from south to north, and lake is long lake.

11/17/2019 Ute Lake State Park, NM - This state park is located east side of New Mexico, not far from Kansas State. It is a large lake, where lake runs west to east. I was at the east end, only I can see is a part of the lake. The lake was very calm today.

11/17/2019 Oasis State Park, NM - At the center of the park, there is a man-made pond, only to enjoy in this pond is a fishing, where locals are enjoy the fishing. Clovis is the nearlest town, its booming town, I can feel it but I don’t know why, I’ll Google it to find out when I have a time.

11/17/2019 Sumner Lake State Park, NM - It’s a large lake and shape like 'V' and only only developed area is the bottom of 'V', shepe dam is located. Confusing is that the residential area is within the park. I saw many turkeys that remind me the Thanksgiving is not far.

11/18/2019 Storrie Lake State Park, NM - Just 4 miles north from Las Vegas and highway #518 road side. Beautiful lake but lake water is low. Office, visitor center, and comfort station are all closed for winter. It is a gated state park.

11/19/2019 Fort Union National Monument, NM - There are three forts and built for 3 different times/enemies. Currently #1 and #3 are ruins, and #2 are even can’t see it under the dirt/weeds. It is very nice place to walk around.

11/19/2019 Maxwell National Wildlife Refuge, NM - It is beautiful and quiet area, and there are many lakes. Many kind birds all over the lakes, paradise for the bird lovers. I wish I have a telescope, so that view faraway birds nicely.

11/21/2019 Coyote Creek State Park, NM - This is a small state park, only a few camp sites, picnic area, a playground and group shelter. The creek runs in the park, and one side of creek is a mountain. It is located middle of the mountain, around 8,000 ft.

11/21/2019 Garanbuio Petro, NM - It is located New Mexico highway #3 road side, near the Pecos River. The red rock wall has some petroglyphs that found during driving that doesn’t happen so often.

11/21/2019 Villanueva State Park, NM - The Pecos River is running in the state prrk very nice way, camp sites are one side of the river, can access to the river easily. There are three different types of shelters in the three different campgrounds. There are mountains both sides of the park.

11/23/2019 Viewpoint Loop Hike, Villanueva State Park, NM - There is a ruin along the hiking trail. I’ve hiked a loop trail that the west side of the state park, it was ridge hike. When trail got near the Pecos River, there are many graffiti on the rocks, but no RA that I am looking for.

11/26/2019 Bottomless Lakes State Park, NM - The bottomless lakes are the sinkholes with gypsum rock upper side of the layers in the wetlands, strange thing is in the desert. There are several bottomless lakes but never over flowed even very heavy rain. I’ve hiked the Bluff Trail that more like a dried wetland and saw actual wetland along the way.

11/27/2019 Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, NM - There are many man-made lakes for the birds. Today was cold side, 39°F, seems to many birds went warm south to avoid cold, a means not many bird here. There are more than 100 species of Odonate, such as dragonflies and dameseflies in this area.

11/27/2019 Roswell, NM - This town is well know by UFO and aliens. This town know exactly what alien or UFO look like. Aliens are green all over with large head and eyes, skinny figure, some times short but not all the time. Many stores are using aliens for the signs.

11/28/2019 Mescaleno Sands OHV Area, NM - Seems to OHV can drive up to everywhere in this sand dune area. There are dark weeds and bushes growing in the sand. This area is located east side of Roswell.

11/29/2019 Brantley Lake State Park, NM - It is located southeast of New Mexico. Lake is man-make lake and large in size. Weather was not good but campground was full of RV campers.

11/29/2019 Carlsbad Caverns National Park, NM - I was here to see the pictographs, that located at the entrance wall of the large main cave. Pictographs are faded out. Today was was during the holidays, a means people are everywhere, parking lot was full.

11/30/2019 Slaughter Canyon Hike, Carlsbad Caverns NP, NM - There is no people here that surprised me where packed people in the Carlsbad Caverns main area. I saw a huge cave but no RA in this cave. Also I saw a small pool.
