5/4/2019 11 Blue Faces Panel, Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - Suppose to 11 Blue Faces, but I recognized only 8. Addition to faces are not blue, a means faces are dark red brown color, however other than faces are blue. It is located middle of cliff, view from this place is wonderful.

5/4/2019 Blue Canyon Ruin (Kay Dubbed), Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - I don’t know the exact name of this side canyon, but assume it is the Blue Canyon, because Blue Faces panel is located at the end of canyon. This ruin is located at mouse of canyon not far from Blue Faces panel.

5/4/2019 Sky Arch (Kay Dubbed), Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - This arch is located not far from the Sky Faces panel. It is high up and no way to get closer, took photos from the bottom of the dry creek bed. Back of arch view is different when I walked some distance.

5/4/2019 Sky Faces, Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - It is located close to sky, a means way high up. Faces are red brown color and some lines in it. There are three similar faces, and some more white figures left side of faces.

5/5/2019 13 Faces Panel, Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - Technically it is located in the side canyon, hike up short distance from the Horse Canyon to see it. All I can see was 10 faces, not 13. It is a good condition because over hanging and shape of canyon protect it.

5/5/2019 Castle Arch, Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - There is tiny sign, smaller than my hand, to indicates the trail. It is bushwhacking involved, a means I took photos from far distance. It is impressive and beautiful thin arch.

5/5/2019 Fortress Arch, Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - There is tiny sign, smaller than my hand, for trail. It is way high up and long hike to get it, so that I took photos from bottom of dry canyon bed. It is large in size but seems to smaller because surrounding rock walls are huge in size.

5/5/2019 Horse Canyon, Needles District, Canyonlands National Park, UT - Dustin, Roam Monticello, helped me out by 2 one gallon of water and carry my backpack on sandy and watery road/trail all the way to 6 miles of distance by fat tire bicycle. The road is impassible and no permit is giving for drive up, this arrangement is the only way I can enjoy backpacking, there is no drinking water available in the Horse Canyon, even lot of water on the road/trail. It is beautiful area, every direction there are beautiful rock formation.

5/8/2019 Moab Maiden, Jackson Trail, UT - It is also called 'Moab Princess', located upper side of the Jackson Trail near the mouth of the Kane Creek. I have missed at first and hike up more higher side, a means easy to miss it because too close to the trail, a boulder and wall are close each other that the panel is located. One big figure.

5/8/2019 Jackson Granary (Kay Dubbed), Moab, UT - This granary is not far from the Moab Maiden, little west. It is located higher side but under huge wall, view is a beautiful from there.

5/8/2019 Jackson Rock Art Panel (Kay Dubbed), Moab, UT - It is located near the Jackson Granary and Moab Maiden, the same area. Not many petroglyphs on the panel, but some.

5/8/2019 Jackson Trail, Moab, UT - This trail is classify as double black diamond trail for bicycle, and along the Colorado River side. It is nice Colorado River and Potash Road view all the way. The trail is narrow, when bicycles come, hiker must go side of the trail to let them go.

5/8/2019 Piggyback Panel, Amasa Back, UT - To reach this panel, Jackson Trail is much shorter than the Amasa Back trail. The bighorn sheep is a large in size and two babies on the back that the name got it. The panel is right side, 100ft or so, of the 1st pic sign.

5/15/2019 Box Canyon, North Fork Whiskers Draw, UT - This Box Canyon is a short and side canyon from North Fork Whiskers Draw. There many weeds, bushes and trees are growing in this area and not easy to walk on the canyon floor. Even small side canyon, there are few alcoves.

5/15/2019 Cave-7, North Fork Whiskers Draw, UT - Massacred 97 people that include children 1,500 years ago. Richard Wetherill, who is a pot hunter also discovered current Mesa Verde National Park. His group discovered human remaining in this cave floor when excavated at 1893. This area is like small an island, one side is tall cliff up and other side is ravine walls down, not the place to 100 people to live or gather. A question after visited this place, massacred 97 people at the same time is impossible here, that the case, was it a graveyard? Not easy to bring dead body here because tall ravine wall to climb up to get here and canyon floor is not easy to walk on. Not massacre nor graveyard, then why 97 human bodies buried here? Only I can think is...people came here to die, and a dozens people or two at a time, not easy to die so that they assisted death that explain the massacre injuries. Question is why people came to die - maybe some kind disease, like a smallpox epidemics??? Why here, not easy to come to because bad canyon configuration - maybe that the reason, people came here, so that rest in peace after die??? After people dead, buried bodies at the same area, so that they were not alone. If massacred, they don’t buried bodies in one area.

5/15/2019 Box Canyon Ruin, North Fork Whiskers Draw, UT - It is upstairs ruin and need a ladder to get up. There are couple ladder like logs on the ground, but seems to heavy to stand it up. It is preserved well and beautiful ruin with unique design, located at the end of the Box Canyon.

5/15/2019 Cave-8, North Fork Whiskers Draw, UT - It is a large alcove, not cave but its called cave) and some ruin remaining. Floor is just like pot hunters excavated and didn’t fill holes well. If you watch carefully, can see the Cave-7 from this alcove.

5/16/2019 Lower Butler Wash Road Ruin #1, UT - It is not so easy to find it because ruin is small and cliff walls are very big, but visible from the Lower Butler Wash Road, if give attention. Not far from road, and there is a trail goes to the ruin. Nice one room ruin.

5/16/2019 Lower Butler Wash Road Ruin #2, UT - There is no way me to get up there, about 10ft wall is shield just below the ruin. My 65x optical zoom camera is quit working, I am using old big DSLR camera and got not close enough photos but these are all I got. Four pillars of ruins are remaining that all I could see.

5/16/2019 Red Rock Ruin (Kay Dubbed), near the Lower Butler Wash Road, UT - This is a beautiful ruin, located high up, but we can hike up to get closer, even we can walk-in, but I didn’t, took photos from the outside. The color is match outside large cliff walls and ruins, and ruin is large in size.

5/16/2019 Sparse Ruin (Kay Dubbed), near the Lower Butler Wash Road, UT - Two plus ruin remaining in this place and it not connected that the name got it. Couple ruins are still standing and good condition. View from here is very nice view that include the Comb Ridge.

5/16/2019 Jailhouse Library, Bluff, UT - Actual name of this library is the San Juan County Library, Bluff Branch. It was a jailhouse long time ago and library system inherited the building. It is one room library and open only two days a week. There is no indication of jailhouse, I was wishing to see the remaining metal bar door.

5/24/2019 King of Wings, Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah (Valley of Dream), NM - This King of Wings is more like a balanced rock, half side of wing is on the air. It is located northwest side of main Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah. There are some red cap on hoodoos, but not tall, most of are short.

5/28/2019 HW 141 MM 88 Panel, CO - My 2019 summer travel starts today, and this place is the first stop. Colorado highway 141 MM 88, there is no parking lot, park the side of the road. The panel is on the large rock wall, faded petroglyphs but some of are still visible.

5/29/2019 Seeetwater Indian Cave, Sweetwater Lake, CO - There is no sign and cave is not visible. I was lucky to found the cave at this time. There are many graffities. Black color pictographs at the middle of the cave.

5/30/2019 Sandrocks Natural Trail Panel, Craig, CO - The trail is back of residential area. There are many graffities and I don’t know which is old petroglyphs, so that I selected seems to old ones.

5/30/2019 Little Robber Road, Baggs, WY - Beautiful formation area and I couldn’t pass it. White and pink layers by layers near WY highway #789.

5/31/2019 Territorial Prison Historical Site, Rawlins, WY - This was a large prison and maximum capacity of prison was 500. Before the pass the law, there was a factory in the property and inmates work there. Prison cells are small in size and some of were no heat.

5/31/2019 Lincoln Monument, Laramie, WY - This monument is locatd by the highway I-80 roadside. Lincoln’s upper potion of the stature looking down the I-80, which also called Lincoln Highway.

5/31/2019 Ames Brother Monument, Laramie, WY - This 60ft memorial pyramid is standing highest point around here. Ames brothers were large contribution to the transcontinent railroad that across the USA.

5/31/2019 Vedauwood Rocks, Medicine Bow Routt National Forest, WY - This place is rock climbers paradice. Even not rock climber, we still can enjoy the beautiful rock formation that all over in the park.
