5/31/2018 Tuwa Canyon, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - I’ve hiked on the Tuwa canyon for search of the Bigfoot Ruin. When came back checked my GPS, I was hiked half wrong canyon, that the why I can’t find it. I hope next time stay in right canyon and will find it.

5/30/2018 White Mesa Mill, UT - This is the only license to operate Uranium radioactive waste disposing facility in USA & Canada, which Canadian company owns it and located between Blanding and White Mesa. Half Life of the U238 is 4.5 Billion Years and U235 is 700 Million Years. Seems to never have a major accident, but there is a possibility. I don’t know why its located not far from the residential area? Current employees are 150. Courtesy to Google Earth and Grand Canyon Trust site.

5/27/2018 Mexican Mountain area, San Rafael Swell, UT - The road is maintained road and there is 2 gates to open and close in 14 miles range, bumpy at time to time but overall nice road. The mountains view is just breathtaking, and there are many rocky mountains along the road. The creek was very green, I never see like that before.

5/27/2018 Mexican Bend Rock Art site, San Rafael Swell, UT - I can’t imagine there is a airstrip in the middle of the nowhere in the mountain area, and people are still using it. The rock art site is located northeast of the airstrip, not far from there. I found 3+ petro panels. I didn’t know the exact location of it, so that I’ve hiked much more on the trail.

5/26/2018 Green River Cutoff Road, San Rafael Swell, UT - There are a line of the metal sculpture, that indicated Old Spanish trail that similar to the east side of town of Green River metal sculpture. Seems to there are some more similar metal sculpture on the Old Spanish trail.

5/26/2018 Fullers Bottom, San Rafael Swell, UT - Fullers Bottom means cross the San Rafael River, where river water is running and no bridge. I was not sure I can make it or not because there was least one foot of water was running. It was a challenge to me, but I made it.

5/26/2018 Salt Wash, San Rafael Swell, UT - Started early from the upper side of the mesa TH. I can’t find the way to get down to the bottom of the canyon, I was looking for all over and finally found the way to go down, I was too tired and decided to go back. I’ll definitely try this place some other time. It is beautiful canyon.

5/25/2018 Duch Flat Roadside Panel, San Rafael Swell, UT - I spot this site, when I was driving. It is located by the wire fence next to the cow gathering place. A feature of this site is, stack up the boulder to made a tunnel and pictographs are on the wall of in the tunnel.

5/25/2018 Fremont Rainbow Panel, Lower Cedar Mountain Road, San Rafael Swell, UT - This is my 2nd time to visit here, there were too much mosquitoes and can’t take photos at last time. Hike down to the bottom of creek to took photos, also took some more pictographs photos along the creek.

5/24/2018 Molen Seep Wash Pictographs Panels, San Rafael Swell, UT - Red color dominated pictographs, and similar figure to couple different sites. Some of pictographs are very detail oriented, I don’t know the photos show the detail or not.

5/24/2018 Molen Seep Wash Petro Site, San Rafael Swell, UT - The main panel was familiar panel from the Internet, I didn’t know that its located here. I didn’t know the exact location, so that I have hiked long way to get here, but there is easy way to drive up and short hike to get here.

5/24/2018 Land of Thousand Boulders, San Rafael Swell, UT - This area has many boulders and people are come to practice rock climbing techniques. I was looking for the rock art, but can’t find it, when came back and checked the Internet, I was looking for wrong place, I have to visit again to find it in right place at next time.

5/23/2018 Railroad Rock, Lower Cedar Mountain Road, San Rafael Swell, UT - This is located the east most of four sites. I don’t kow what railroad rock means, if I name this place, I called the Telepathy Panel because two figures connected with telepathy wire like, see 2nd row 2nd from right photo.

5/23/2018 Silent Sentinel and Busy Panel, Lower Cedar Mountain Road, San Rafael Swell, UT - The road to get this place is the wash, which confused me, wash is the road??? There are many figures on the busy panel, but one figure on the Silent Sentinel panel, I believe these are created at different time zone.

5/23/2018 45 Degree Rock Site, Lower Cedar Mountain Road, San Rafael Swell, UT - Odd thing was, turning road stopped just before the 45 degree rock, a big drop off and I am sure I can’t go through, so that backed up, you know I hate to back up drive. There are many figures on small surface of the 45 degree rock, I believe there were many more but gone.

5/23/2018 Daisy Chain Site, Lower Cedar Mountain Road, San Rafael Swell, UT - This site is one of the four rock art sites on the Lower Cedar Mountain Road. One side of the boulder has some graffiti but other side of the boulder has three company untouched by graffiti.

5/23/2018 Short Canyon, San Rafael Swell, UT - I found 2 pictographs panels, one is all red color, another one is red and white colors. Those are steep slope to hike up to see closer look. When came back and checked the Internet, there are some more pictographs panels near by, a means I have to come back this place some day.

5/22/2018 Sid and Charley, San Rafael Swell, UT - Sid and Charley is the name of the rock formation, which standing alone. I was looking for rock art, but I don’t know exactly what I am looking for. When I saw some pictographs, I thought that’s it. After came back and checked the Internet, there are some more petroglyphs around there that I have missed, which means I have to come back to this place some day.

5/22/2018 Last Chance Loop, San Rafael Swell, UT - It is well maintained dirt road, nice loop, not too short or too long, and nice different rock formations and nice different colors of cliffs, mountains and hills. This is enjoyable loop to just drive through.

5/22/2018 Lava Dike, Last Chance Loop, San Rafael Swell, UT - Very colorful area, red, white, gray, pink but not black, suddenly black Lava Dike appeared. It is remarkable figure, like black thick broken dishes stick up.

5/22/2018 Mussentuchit Sand Dune, San Rafael Swell, UT - The sand dune is located south side of the cliff and steep slope. The sand color is darker peach color and near by mountains/hills are beautiful. It is on the Lower Last Chance Loop road.

5/22/2018 Mussentuchit Site, San Rafael Swell, UT - "Mussentuchit" means "Must Not Touch It" because poisonous water. The petroglyphs site is located near the volcanic rock layer area, which is a nice view. There are many nice figures in the large panel.

5/22/2018 Forsyth Reservoir, Northeast of Fremont, UT - Overcast weather and cold 46°F, surrounding lake by dark color hills. There were few campers but very quiet here. The reservoir is not large in size and located higher side, near the pass.

5/22/2018 Goosenecks Point, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - It is not clear view of the goosenecks, but enough high to see the bottom of winding steep cliff canyon. Red rock color is majority of around here.

5/21/2018 Notom - Bullfrog Road, Partially Capitol Reef National Park, UT - This is long and mostly washboad dirt road, but view is incredible, I saw so many different colors of rocks/boulder/cliffs. Also I saw many canyon trailheads that start from this road, can spend days and weeks here.

5/21/2018 Halls Crossing Ferry, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, UT - The stranger thing is this ferry runs on the Utah State Highway #276, a means highway doesn’t stop when land end, continue on the waterway. The ferry is smaller in size, Halls Cross to Bullfrog is about 30 minutes ride and $25/vehicle. Lake Powell Toll Ferry goes through beautiful red rock formation for both sides.

5/17/2018 Red Bear Panel, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - I know this place does exist but can’t find where or how to get there. It was hopeless to find it that I thought. During hiking I met Peter and he mentioned me the TH and told me to follow the trail, so I did it and found the panel. It is little faded out but beautiful panel with large size of red bear.

5/17/2018 Remnant Panel & Ruins, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - This place is located not far from the Red Bear Panel, and upper side of the canyon on flat area. There are some remnant panels, I saw three and two are tiny ones, and ruins.

5/16/2018 Ruin Rock, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - I wanted to see this panel very badly, I couldn’t find the trail to get there, hike around for while and finally find the way to get there, when I got there, I was already tired but excited. The panel is located higher side and no way to get closer. There are many figures and beautiful panel. Ruins are near by.

5/16/2018 Hands Panel, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - There are many hands pictographs on the wall, some of are seems to mud, I can’t tell paint or mud. I didn’t count, but assume more than 100. It is located very large alcove and avoiding severe weather.

5/16/2018 Sipapu - Kachina Bridges Loop, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - There are Horse Collar Ruins, I didn’t hiked up because I couldn’t find the way to get there. Beautiful canyon hike. 2nd row 2nd photo from left, there are small arch, I have hiked atop of this arch on the way to the Ruin Rock.

5/15/2018 Twin Mini Ruins (Kay Named), Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - This is the same area to the Ropeout Ruins & Kiva, only different is higher side and no rope out for the Twin Mini Ruins, but roped out a kiva like hole, smaller size. Twin Mini Ruins are by the wall and deeper, entrances are close each other. One hand pictograph near by.

5/15/2018 Ropeout Ruins & Kiva (Kay Named), Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - The park service has roped the area of the ruins and kiva to not cross the rope, took photos from the distance. Seems to good condition to preserving it.

5/15/2018 Big 2 Ledge Ruins, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - It is located way high up and long wooden log is on the ground to not anyone to climb up. One ruin is located small ledge area, I don’t know how to relax in unstable area. All other ruins are more higher side of open area, few ruins are located on the ledge.

5/15/2018 Two Tone Color Rock Panel & Ruins (Kay Named), Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - Not far from the White Man Panel, located middle of the cliff, need scramble to hike up to get there. There are few ruins and Two Tone Color Rock Panel that circular figure on top whiter rock wall and diamond shape bottom red wall.

5/15/2018 White Man Panel & Ruins, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - I wanted to see this panel for while, finally I am happy to saw it. White Man and other figures are large in size. Ruins are by this panel. I am not sure is X wooden poles in the small opening, 2nd left from top row, is this opening of underground room?

5/15/2018 White Canyon, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - I have hiked on the White Canyon for 9 miles RT from Sipapu Bridge TH to explore the canyon. It is beautiful canyon, but not long enough distance, 4 miles RT shorter, and missed few more ruins. Oh well...next time.

5/15/2018 Sipapu Bridge View Point and Ruin, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - It is located upper side of the way to get down to the Sipapu Bridge. Possible to see the Sipapu Bridge more closer look. There is a ruin on the way to the view point.

5/15/2018 Sipapu Bridge, Natural Bridges National Monument, UT - This bridge is the second largest natural bridge in the World, after the Rainbow Bridge. 3 wooden ladders and couple metal stairs to get to the bottom of the White Canyon to look up the bridge, surely it’s big. I saw many Turkey Vulture, black body with neck up is all red, they were rested on the dead trees.

5/14/2018 Dinosaur Museum, Blanding, UT - A couple’s, Stephen and Sylvia Czerkas, years of collection of dinosaur items had been donated to this Dinosaur Museum. Also Stephen was the professional dinosaur sculptor that he create it from scratch. In the museum, there are many his creation of the dinosaurs and their collection of original posters displayed.

5/11/2018 Kachina Ruin Rock Art, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - There are many petroglyphs and pictographs on the large cliff wall and on the rocks, and some of are inside the kiva like structure. Those rock art are not consistent, a means many different groups added figures in different time periods.

5/11/2018 Kachina Ruin, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - It is located just west side of the Kachina Bridge in the White Canyon, and little higher side of the canyon bed. There are couple circle kiva look like and tiny granary like structures.

5/11/2018 Kachina Bridge Panel, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - This panel is located on the south side of Kachina Bridge about 20 ft high, no way, to me, to climb up to see close look. There are many figures on this panel.

5/11/2018 Kachina Bridge, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - This is the youngest bridge, about 20K years old, among three major bridges in this monument. It is located White Canyon side of confluence of White Canyon and Armstrong Canyon.

5/11/2018 Shoe Panel, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - It is located at middle of the cliff wall and visible from the trail, if give an attention. Not much room at front of the panel, a means not enough space to back up to take photos. There are many figures but majority is a long triangle banner like figure.

5/11/2018 Shoe Ruin, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - This place is located about 1 mile northwest from the Owachomo Bridge. If hike from Kachina Bridge side, easy to miss this place because obstacle by trees and bushes. It is a small ruin and one of the room is crawl to get in.

5/11/2018 Owachomo Bridge, Natural Bridge National Monument, UT - This bridge is located south side of the park and one of the three major natural bridges in this monument. It is large in size and oldest bridge, about 60K years old, in this park. Located in the Armstrong Canyon.

5/9/2018 Lower Butler Wash, Bluff, UT - On 5/4/18 I couldn’t to go down from west side because steep cliff. Today I tried from east side to got down to the bottom of the wash. I saw nice petroglphs panels. I am sure I can find some more, but very heavy bushwhacking involved and I didn’t go too far.

5/9/2018 Yeibichai Site, Bluff, UT - When I have visited on 5/4/18, I was so close but I didn’t know the exact location. Today I had a help with Jim and watched the video, after that I know the exact location, so that visited again and finally saw the Yei petro. Not easy to see it, can’t see it even 10ft away, until stand at front of Yei.

5/8/2018 Lower Decker Site, UT - This place is located upper side of the Cottonwood Wash. I saw a ruin but located at the steep place and couldn’t go to inside. I found couple petroglyphs panels and there are many more out there, but located in the private property and wire fences are everywhere, the owner don’t want to let us in that was sacks.

5/8/2018 Lance Site, UT - This place is dedicated to Reed Lance who was Monticello UT resident. Up on the middle of the cliff, there are couple simple benches and look down the nice view, I guess this is the place Reed Lance came to enjoy the view. I was hoping to find some petroglyphs panels, I found some petroglyphs but not much.

5/6/2018 Spring Canyon, Bluff, UT - I had hiked to the mouth of the Spring Canyon from bottom of the dry wash couple months ago. Today I saw it from the top of the canyon to look down. It is beautiful canyon, atop of the cliff is all white color rocks and below canyon wall is red color. It is near the town of White Mesa, I think its name from white rocks top.

5/5/2018 Poncho House Ruins, Bluff, UT - When reached parking lot, I was higher side of the cliff. View around here is just gorgeous, I can see the Poncho House Ruins from distance. I tried to go to bottom of the canyon and visit the Poncho House Ruin, but can’t find the way to go down, cliffs are everywhere. After 9 miles of search the way to go down, I gave up.

5/4/2018 Hidden Ruin, Lower Butler Wash, Bluff, UT - I was try to get down to the bottom of the Lower Butler Wash from west side, but everywhere too steep for me, I try to avoid too much risky hike for during solo hike. I couldn’t go down, instead of lucky enough to find the hidden ruin that can’t see from above and below.

5/4/2018 Yei (Yeibichai) Site, Bluff, UT - I wanted to find the Yei site, see last pic that from one of the books. I don’t know how big this petroglyph is, all I know is located this area. There are many rocks/boulders I checked one by one but no luck. If you know the exact location, please let me know. I found a few small size horse petroglyphs.

5/1/2018 Minor Overlook, Canyon Rims Recreation Area, UT - This overlook is not far from the Anticline Overlook, view is just like the Anticline Overlook, beautiful. The name from one of the rangers who contributed this area for long time. It is drive through loop but no parking lot for nice view, that the case enjoy the view from the car.

5/1/2018 Anticline Overlook, Canyon Rims Recreation Area, UT - It is located at the end of good dirt road. From the overlook, the Colorado River, Potash Evaporation Ponds, meandering Kane Creek road to the Hurrah Pass are just below to look down, very nice view. Hiking loop trail is too short for this nice view.

5/1/2018 Wine Glass Arch, Canyon Rims Recreation Area, UT - This place is a roadside of the Hatch Point Road that the way to go to the Anticline Overlook. Below arch is the place of cattle gathering place. The arch is high up and no place to take a good arch background photo.
