1/3/2018 Pelican Arch, UT (6.5 miles) - It is located below the Needles Overlook, which I’ve been there not long ago. 2nd row two left most photos of leftmost upper cliff is the Needles Overlook. There are ton’s arches in Utah, but not all arches have a name, this small arch has lucky to have a own name.

1/3/2018 White Dot Panel, Lockhart Basin Rd, UT - Located two to three hundreds feet from the Lockhart Basin Rd and other side of the dry creek. White dots are similar to white dots in the PeekaBoo Panel.

1/5/2018 Hasting Road Panel, UT - The Hasting Road runs parallel to the Green River. This panel is located by east side of the road, large black surface boulder. There is no sign but easy to spot.

1/5/2018 Nefertiti Panel, Hasting Rd, UT - It is located east side of the Hasting Road and near the Nefertiti Rock and Green River boat ramp. This is elks panel, there are many large elks to small elks on the panel.

1/13/2018 Hot Air Balloon Festival, Bluff, UT - This is three days event in Bluff. They started various places in the town, some of are up on the hill. It is heavy, about 300lb for wicker basket that include fuel tanks, 200lb for envelope/balloon area, and weight of three or four people. Possible of about one hour fly and don’t know where to touch down that up to the direction of the wind.

1/13/2018 Cottonwood Canyon, Bluff, UT (5 miles) - Hike up to the Cotton Canyon from town of Bluff, and hike into couple side canyons. Cliff is beautiful all the way. Seems to not popular place to hike because trail is fading out. I didn’t see anyone, but I really enjoy hike there.

1/13/2018 Cottonwood Canyon Horse Panel, bluff, UT - There are two horse panels side by side but north panel is not easy to see from anywhere. I was lucky to found south panel first then saw north panel from half way down the hill, then climb up on the loose trail to get there. South panel is two horses and north panel is six horses and one elk, both panels are large in size.

1/15/2018 Coal Canyon Panel, Book Cliffs, UT - It is located beautiful based Book Cliffs near the town of Green River. The petroglyphs are located weird place, between the very narrow two boulders. Human figures under the arch and large shaman figure on the right side, large bighorn sheep and large bird on the left side. There are more petroglyphs surrounding it.

1/15/2018 Cube Rock Panel, Book Cliffs, UT - This place is near the town of Green River. There are many rocks and boulders but rare to find the cube rocks. This place is well-known place because dirt road is run into this place. Petroglyphs are located mainly two sides of the cube face.

1/15/2018 Tusher Canyon RA, Book Cliffs, UT - 6.6 miles drive up to the canyon and park the car that area is the place to look around rock art. I found couple petroglyphs panels both side of the side canyon. One large panel has many petroglyphs but not easy to see and not easy to take photos because too dark.

1/18/2018 Muley Point, Cedar Mesa, UT - Drove up to the edge of the cliff of the Muley Point. View from this point is spectacular. I’ve hiked John’s Canyon not long ago that located just below this point, at that time, I wanted to see the view from atop of the cliff.

1/18/2018 Moon House Ruin, Cedar Mesa, UT (5 miles) - Trail was flat to start but sooner hike down to the steep cliff to go down to the McCloud Wash, one spot I was not sure how to go down, at that time Jonathan appeared and rescued me, he helped me all the way, thank you Jonathan, without your help I am sure I couldn’t make it. He is a rock climber and no problem at all. We saw main ruins, north side kiva area and ruins, and more ruins at south side.

1/18/2018 Lower Mule Canyon Ruin, Cedar Mesa, UT (1.6 miles) - One spot the creek water is running into the road, and road is full of water. Hike on the dirt road to get to this ruin area. Short distance to climb/scramble up to the ruin. View from ruin is very nice especially surrounding rock formation is unique. I saw some petroglyphs on the wall.

1/23/2018 Spear Thrower Panel, Bluff, UT - It is located highway #162 roadside on upper side of the large boulder. There is one large anthropomorphic figure (human figure) in center and two smaller anthropomorphic figures with atlatls, spear thrower that the bow and arrow.

1/23/2018 Snake Panel, Bluff, UT - There are three group of petroglyphs, those are located highway #162 roadside, high on a cliff face, one group upper side and two groups next to the detached thumb shaped slab of rock leaning against the cliff. I called Owl, X-shape and Snake Panels. Problem is too far to get good photos.

1/23/2018 Lobed Circle Panel, Bluff, UT - 'Lobed Circle' is a new knowledge for me that dominated in this area. There are more graffiti than original Indian petroglyphs, sad to see it. Many petroglyphs are faded out and does not come out good on the photos.

1/23/2018 Foot Bridge, Bluff, UT - The Foot Bridge is gone, only a pole remind, however name of the road to get there is still present. San Juan River water is running good and impossible to cross the river without a bridge. Sad to not see the bridge.

1/26/2018 17 Room Ruin, Bluff, UT - It is very close to highway #162 and San Juan River but to get there is long way to drive up, highway #191 and paved/dirt road. Alcove is large in size and ruin is located in the alcove with nice view from it. The ruin has many small rooms, pictographs are located above the living area.

1/26/2018 Black Mesa Butte, Shash Jaa Ntional Monument, UT - It is located in the Bears Ears National Monument, also in the Shash Jaa National Monument, I don’t know those National Monuments are separated or not, no final decision made it yet I guess. Anyway I was a peakbagger today and enjoyed hiking.

1/26/2018 Black Mesa, Shash Jaa Ntional Monument, UT (5 miles inc Black Mesa Butte) - It is located in the Bears Ears National Monument, also in the Shash Jaa National Monument, funny way to say but Shash Jaa NM is under the Bears Ears NM. I was a peakbagger today and enjoyed hiking of two separate peaks in one hike.

1/27/2018 Monticello Library, UT - One of the wall of staircase is full of rock art drawings in the San Juan County Library in Monticello, just like the 'Edge of Cedars State Park' in Blanding, UT. The staircase is connect to the basement and not open for public, but all librarians are very nice people, they don’t mind to see it. This is one of the secrets in Monticello.

1/28/2018 Tower House Ruins, Cedar Mesa, UT (1 mile) - There are many trails and confused, but one of the trails that I was on, took me to the ruins. The Tower House is two story ruins and taller than most of ruins, and Kiva is near by.

1/28/2018 Over & Under Ruins, Cedar Mesa, UT (1.7 miles) - I’ve hiked to the Under ruin, and I don’t know how to get to the Over ruin. Over ruin is very steep side of the slick rock to get it, I couldn’t imagine how to carried rocks to built ruin there, even I couldn’t go there without any.

1/28/2018 Cave Towers, Cedar Mesa, UT (2.4 miles) - This place is just like Hovenweep National Monument, smaller size, only parts of one or two towers remind. There are many ruins, I’ve visited one of the ruins, that go through spring water in the alcove area, icicles was beautifully hanging down.

1/30/2018 Lems Draw Ruins, Blanding, UT (less than 1 mile) - There are few ruins that visible in sight but weeds grow very good at bottom of the creek, a means not easy to walk in the tall vegetation field. I have visited one of the largest ruin in this area with fighting with vegetation to got there.

1/30/2018 Bull Pasture Ruins, Blanding, UT (1.2 miles) - There are few trails and I was lucky to picked the right trail. In this area, Recapture Creek, there is a possibility to find many ruins, where I found four ruin sites and creek is large in size.

1/30/2018 Spirit Cave Ruin, Blanding, UT (less than 1 mile) - The ruins are located at the end of creek and ground level, more like hiding under the large flat rock formation area that below is the location of the cave. The cave area is large in size.
