8/1/2018 Petroglyphs Canyon, northwest of Cowley, WY - This place is actually located in Montana, just north of WY, go through from WY, everyone think this place is belong to WY. There is no sign that confuse to find it, however end of the road, TH, there is a sign. Most petroglyphs panels are located west face of canyon.

8/2/2018 Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, MT - I’ve stopped by the Devil’s Overlook, Ewing-Snall Historical Ranch, Barry’s Landing and Horseshoe Bend. It is beautiful area from Wyoming to Montana along the Bighorn River. My car was very close to herd of Sheep, they are use to with human.

8/2/2018 Smith Mine Disaster, MT - Road side sign said it was worst underground coal mine disaster in Montana history and 74 men died year of 1943. Mine buildings are still standing on the hill side and visible from the highway #78 road side.

8/3/2018 Tippet Rise Art Center, MT - This place is 10,260 acres of Art and Music center, and Working Ranch. All sculptures are large-scale and harmony with surroundings. There are 8 sculptures, each one has own unique theme. Shuttle bus took us to all sculpture sites that distance was 20 miles. This place is open to public 3 years ago. Music concert is held by the sculptures or inside the buildings. Open only Fri, Sat and Sun during Summer and need reservation.

8/4/2018 Reeves Lake, MT - This is a heavy water lily lake that made very nice view. It is located on the road side to go to the Mystic Lake TH. Unfortunately flower of water lily was not available.

8/4/2018 Emerald Lake, MT - This lake is also located road side to go to Mystic Lake TH. Nice mountains background, can see Gracia upper side of the mountain that a special treat for hot summer day. In this area according to the map, no shortage of lakes, there are hundreds of lakes.

8/4/2018 West Rosebud Lake, MT - This lake is also located road side to go to Mystic Lake TH. Uniqueness of this lake is, like an island or peninsula in the lake. This lake and Emerald Lake are located side-by-side.

8/4/2018 Mystic Lake, MT - This is a beautiful lake surrounding by mountains that still have many Gracia, and one of the largest lakes in this area. Power company owns the dam and pipe out the water from this lake and make energy 3 miles down the facility. This is very popular place to hike, there are many hikers and overflow the parking lot.

8/5/2018 Sheridan, WY - Main street of downtown sidewalk is just like open outdoor art gallery, there are many sculptures, least a hundred. It is nice to walk around to see and take photos of the sculptures. However most stores are closed on Sunday, that was not expected and disappointed.

8/6/2018 Devils Gate, WY - Oregon Trail go through here and gate, narrow canyon, opens up after the gate. Long distance traveling and one out of 10 people couldn’t make it to here by disease or else. When someone made it to here, they can see the opportunity was endless.

8/6/2018 Little Robbers, WY - It is located north of town of Baggs and west side of the highway #789. Beautiful and colorful configuration of a bad land, untouched beauty. The few different soft tone of colors that doesn’t appear nicely on the photos, but I enjoyed walking around.

8/7/2018 Sweetwater Lake, CO - There is a cave with full of pictographs by this lake but cave is hiding by bushes and trees, I can’t find it. I don’t mind to walk around to find it if trail is stable, around here no solid trail and unstable rocks field, too much to explore. I know I was so close, oh well... maybe next time.

8/12/2018 Indian Creek W #5, Bears Ears National Monument, UT - I found total eight panels today, some of are few or just one petroglyph on it, some of are enough to smile. West side of Indian Creek north end, just south of Dogout Ranch, to start and hike down to south. I saw strange plants that seems to frosting, but not for over 90 °F.

8/13/2018 Indian Creek W #6, Bears Ears National Monument, UT - I found seven small petroglyphs panels today that south side of yesterdays hike. At morning, I was mouth of the Titus Canyon, see 1st photo. There are many beautiful side canyons in Indian Creek, I don’t mind to hike all but not enough time.

8/15/2018 Wind Whistle Rock, UT - Original plan was to see the pictographs panel in the Harts Draw, but couldn’t go through canyon by large dry waterfall, couple hundreds feet down. Turn back and enjoy the Wind Whistle Rock area.

8/15/2018 Jail Rock, UT - I saw the sign said 'Your own risk', I was not sure that apply to see the jail in the rock. Behind fence there is cave house, I thought that the jail house, but still skeptical. Then south side of the Jail Rock, there is a slope to hike up to, and saw the large hole, I am sure use this hole as a jail that name got it.

8/17/2018 Inscription Panel, near Bluff, UT - This place is located between Bluff and Montezuma Creek, north side of San Juan River. It has many figures on upper side of the leaned panel. Seems to people are keep adding figures.

8/17/2018 River View Ruins (Kay Named), UT - This place is located between Bluff and Montezuma Creek, north side of San Juan River. There are several small size ruins in this area. One is particularly high up and almost no-way to get there for my point of view. There are steep unstable cliffs all around, hiked from highway #162 to get down to the bottom of canyon.

8/17/2018 One Arm Panel (Kay Named), UT - Located near the River View Ruins. On the panel there is one arm person figure waving hand that the name of panel got it. Special characteristics are clacked boulder that separated spiral figure in half and large headless animal like.

8/17/2018 Recapture Pocket, UT - This is one of the hidden secret places near Bluff, Utah. Strange thing is surrounding mountains are more like gray color, but this area is all red color. There are many hoodoos or towers, fun to walk around between those, spend time with family is a good idea here.

8/19/2018 Hell Roaring Canyon, UT - Toughest part of this hike was about 500ft down/up the cliff from the rim to the bottom of the canyon. At the bottom of dry canyon bed is flat and sandy. Canyon wall is tall and long, some places are least a mile long, beautiful and peaceful canyon. The weather was smoky condition, smoke from wildfire in California.

8/19/2018 Comet Thrower Panel, Hell Roaring Canyon, UT - It is located bottom center of huge flat cliff wall. The panel is south faced, a means always under the sun that caused its faded out. Comet thrower is large in size and right hand has six fingers. Bottom row 2 left photos are, from ground to panel, panel to top of the rim.

8/22/2018 Recapture Canyon, UT - There are many ruins and granaries in this canyon, most of are smaller in size. I manage to find eight of them but I am sure there are many more. It is hard to find it because too many trees obstacle to see it, I found ones are above the trees, a means high up on the hill/cliff.

8/23/2018 Hidden Valley Ruins, Moab, UT - There are two ruins located incredibly high up on the towers and about 700 ft apart each other. I couldn’t get closer, too steep to me to climb up, so that east side of rim to took photos. Both rounding like kiva shape and large in size.

8/23/2018 Hidden Valley Petro, Moab, UT - I was looking for way to climb up to the tower to see the ruins, but too steep and no way for me to climb up. But I was there, so that I took some photos of the Petroglyphs, which is my second time here, that located higher up the cliff but lower than the atop of the tower, where ruins are located.

8/23/2018 Moab Rim Petro, Moab, UT - This place is located by the Moab Rim Jeep Trail, and little north from the Hidden Valley RA site. Sun was not good position to take photos, but managed to got some. After came back and checked the Internet, there are some more petros near by, which I missed. Oh well...

8/26/2018 Mill Creek Caves, Moab, UT - It is located northeast side of the Mill Creek. There are few small size caves and couple alcoves in one area, but I didn’t see the ruins.

8/26/2018 Mill Creek RA, Moab, UT - I found 17 rock art panels in couple miles range, both side of the Mill Creek at ground level, most of are small size of panels. It was Sunday, but not many people around here, where North Fork Mill Creek pool area is ton’s of people. There are beautiful rock formation around here, just hiking on the trail is worth to visit.

8/29/2018 White House Ruins, Recapture Canyon, UT - The Ruin walls covered with white plaster that the reason its called the White House Ruins. However the ceiling is still black, just like someone cooked out not long ago. I have asked prior to visiting this place to some locals for the location, but no-one knows it. I’m glad I found it.

8/31/2018 Ken’s Lake, Moab, UT - This is a man-made lake and water level is way low now, pretty soon will dry out. There is no water source around here, depending on runoff water from the La Sal Mountains, which located southeast from Moab. There are severe drought in this region for while that caused this lake to not getting water.

8/31/2018 Faux Falls, Moab, UT - When water runs, this falls are beautiful. This is a man-made falls, that the name got it. Water from the Mill Creek that other side of the mountain to pump-up water to run and make the water falls. Unfortunately not enough water runs in the Mill Creek that means this water falls are close, a means no water runs on the falls.

8/31/2018 Steel Bender Trail RA, Moab, UT - The Steel Bender Trail is one of the Jeep Safari route, which means tough road. The RA panel is large cliff wall with fenced around, even fenced it, there are many grafitti, sad to see it. There are pictographs that too much damaged by grafitti, and some petroglyphs to enjoy.

8/31/2018 Blue Hill RA (Kay Named), Moab, UT - This place is about 12 miles west from the Moab Airport. I was not expected, so that wonderful surprised. It is fenced around, otherwise I never find it. Some pictographs are draw top of the another pictographs, located under the rocks, a means lay down to enjoy it.

8/31/2018 Levi Rock (Kay Named), Moab, UT - It is located little north from the Moab Grotto. One good size boulder that visible from some distance, which petroglyphs on it. I accidentally found it when I was looking for the Moab Grotto. There are many boulders around here, I can think we can find some more petroglyphs and pictographs.

8/31/2018 Moab Grotto, UT - Located west of Moab Airport. It is not visible from the outside and tricky to get in, round a tree, maneuver the boulders and crawling under the boulder to get in. There is a large room inside the grotto, comfortable to gather least 10 people. Pictographs are higher side of the rock face.
