4/2/2018 Leprechaun Canyon, UT - It was short but fun place to hike with all member of family. After sand, trail changes to rock surface and wide canyon getting narrower. Around one mile turn back, however rock climbers can go father. Later I checked the Internet, there are few more canyon trails running around there.

4/2/2018 Carl’s Critter Garden, Hanksville, UT - It is located roadside of highway #95. Sign said admission is free or 25¢ or $1 or ???, so that I took free one and walk around the his garden. It is folk art and he uses metal to create many critters.

4/2/2018 Wolverton Mill, Hanksville, UT - This is a historic gold mill, restored and display it behind the BLM office in Hanksville. It is open for the public, we can walk in the building to see what looks like inside the mill.

4/2/2018 Temple of the Sun, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - Three, Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Moon and Glass Mountain, are located the same area, Temple of the Moon is mountain side and Glass Mountain is far side, and Temple of the Sun is middle and larger than moon. I have visited twice, way back is better sun light.

4/2/2018 Temple of the Moon, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - There is no good parking lot, park on the road and walk around to find good place to take photos. They should to make large parking lot for each destination. Moon is smaller than Sun but when stand up bottom of the moon, it is large in size.

4/2/2018 Glass Mountain, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - The Glass Mountain is a mound of selenite crystal, which is a variety of crystallized gypsum. When sun hits it, it does spark, but unfortunately it was cloudy and didn’t happened.

4/2/2018 Gypsum Sinkhole, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - It is about 50ft diameter and 200ft deep hole just below the rock cliff. If drop something, not easy to get it. It is near the Cathedral Valley, red rock surrounding here is beautiful.

4/2/2018 Cathedral Valley, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - It is standing beautiful sandstone monoliths that resemble cathedrals that the why name came from. Even weather was cloudy but can’t hide the beauty, I enjoyed to seeing it, however there is not enough parking lot, all I can do was stop on the road to watch it.

4/2/2018 Morrell Cabin, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - The cabin was purchased by Morrell around 1935, he took the cabin apart and re-built it at its present site for cowboys to use it on the Morrell Ranch. After he sold property to National Park, it is still standing nicely.

4/3/2018 Pleasant Creek, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - I was not expected so many rock art panels along the creek, first panel from TH was wooden fenced out, but all others are no fence, free to walk around. Surprise thing was, about 4 miles, I didn’t see anyone, then suddenly there are many people, they got from other end of creek.

4/4/2018 Capitol Gorge, Capitol Reef National Park, UT - The parking lot was filled up very quickly, this place is a popular place. Only 1.2 miles to get to the Tank, short hike that people like it. Along the way there is a Pioneer Register that has many graffiti on it.

4/4/2018 Big Arrowhead Arch, White Canyon, UT - White Canyon is running along the highway #95 and beautiful canyon, so that I picked this place to hike to enjoy canyon and fining the arch. There is one more arch, but I can’t find it. One arch is better than nothing, I am happy with it.

4/8/2018 Gateway Auto Museum, CO - It is John Hendricks auto collection who originated the Discover Channel, and he has a mountain house near by. There are 50 classic cars displayed in the museum, some of are very rare or one-of-kind cars. My question is why here? This is a remote area, no one come to see the classic cars, instead of come to enjoy the wildlife.

4/8/2018 Dancing Bear Panel, near Moab, UT - First stop is this panel, my daughter and two grandsons after arrived to Grand Junction Airport from Vancouver Canada. Grandsons didn’t show any tiredness, just run and jump side of the mountain slope.

4/8/2018 Fisher Tower, near Moab, UT - When arrived this place, it was nearly sunset, I saw a group enjoy the sunset party. We had short hike to enjoy beauty of the Fisher Tower.

4/9/2018 Double O Arch, Arches National Park, UT - This is a not easy hike trail and many adult can't make it. But my fearless grandsons enjoy scramble up and down the trail. We saw few more arches other than Double O Arch, such as Landscape Arch, Navajo Arch in distance and more.

4/9/2018 Dark Angle Rock Art Panel, Archs National Park, UT - My daughter and two grandsons, helped me out to find this rock art site. This location is not posted any National Park brochures or Internet, I was not sure we can find it or not, fortunately we found it, located west side of the Dark Angle. Where Dark Angel is a spire that I learned from the Junior Ranger Program.

4/10/2018 Island in the Sky, Canyonlands National Park, UT - We stopped at Intestine Man Panel that was way to Island in the Sky. The Grand View Point Overlook was quick stop to enjoy the grand view of the Island in the Sky.

4/10/2018 Mesa Arch, Island in the Sky, Canyonlands National Park, UT - This is a popular place because short distance and behind arch has very nice background view. Try to take the Mesa Arch without people is tough, fortunately I had a chance to take a photo. Coincident happened that my daughter and two grandsons met friends from Pemberton, BC, Canada, where they came from.

4/10/2018 False Kiva, Island in the Sky, Canyonlands National Park, UT - This is a short with required scramble up and down hike, but no problem with my grandsons. I hope they enjoyed the view from the False Kiva as much as I did, the view is one of kind.

4/10/2018 Sushi Party, Moab, UT - My daughter and two grandsons made finest sushi rolls, it was very good, and we eat so fast and no time to filled up the sushi boat. Well it was hit, so that we repeated a day after. We had two sushi parties.

4/11/2018 Newspaper Rock, Indian Creek, Bears Ears National Monument, UT - This panel has many figures and my old grandson likes seems to riding horse of a anthropomorphic figure (human figure). Every time I see this panel, I am glad that its well preserved.

4/11/2018 Needles, Canyonlands National Park, UT - In this park, there are so many rocks to kids to enjoy, beside the gorgeous needles view. I took my daughter’s family photos in rare way that they are standing on the narrow canyon, standing both legs side of the walls. They are so good to maneuver canyon walls.

4/11/2018 Wilson Arch, UT - Located roadside of the highway #191, I passed this arch many times but this time hike up the hill to under the arch. It is larger arch than view from the highway and very sharp drop out behind the arch.

4/12/2018 Moab Man Panel, near Moab Golf Course, UT - I have been to this panel before, and I wanted to show it to my daughter and grandsons. Next day my daughter and old grandson hike around there and found some more petroglyphs that I never see before, I have to find it out soon.

4/12/2018 Hole in the Rock, UT - This place is side of the highway #191 and store is in the cave. We browse inside store and outside their yard. We saw many weird items display in the yard.

4/12/2018 Moab Giants, near Moab, UT - This is a dinosaur museum, located at the highways #191 and #313. It was windy, seems to more people in the cafeteria than outside. They have indoor museum, 3D theater, 5D aquarium, play ground and 1/2 mile trail to see the actual size of dinosaurs.

4/12/2018 Moab Rental House, Moab, UT - Moab is popular place to rent a house/town house/cond/room via airbnb. We stayed in this rental house for while, got from the airbnb. It is by the golf course and very quiet, 3 bdrm and 2 bath, we enjoy stay at home.

4/16/2018 McDonald Creek Rock Art, McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, CO - It is located near the Utah border and south of the highway I-70. The site is not far from the TH, but there are not many figures, only 4 or 5 red color pictographs.

4/16/2018 Art on the Corner, Grand Junction, CO - The art sculptures are located on the main street for about 7 blocks from 1st street to 7th street. There are many sculptures not only the corners. Also I saw paintings too addition to the sculptures. Only problem is no parking lot, park couple blocks off the main street.

4/17/2018 No Thoroughfare Canyon Panel, Colorado National Monument, CO - Road was closed beyond the parking lot, a means the trail of this site was open, phew... There is a boulder that fading out petroglyphs are located, not the wall of the cliff.

4/17/2018 Colorado National Monument, CO - I wanted to go to the Glade Park, which drive up the Colorado National Monument road, Grand Junction side road is closed, so that went Fruita side to drive up for 2,500ft. I’ve been to this place 2 to 3 times before, but view is still beautiful.

4/18/2018 Sieber Warriors, Sieber Canyon, McInnis Canyons National Conservative Area, CO - It is not easy to get to the bottom of the canyon where the panel is located. I met one of the owner of the near by ranch, he was nice to showed me the panel, but I felt not welcoming, seems to he doesn’t want anyone around here even in the public land.

4/18/2018 Glade Park, CO - I thought this is a strange place because Colorado National Monument is like a shape of a rainbow, one end is Fruita and other end is Grand Junction, the Glade Park is atop of the rainbow. It is wide flat area and each residents have least 35 acres. Bizarre thing is go through Colorado National Monument, a means pay the fee to pass the monument.

4/18/2018 Eagle Rock Shelter RA, CO - It is located east side of town of Delta. I didn’t know was, excavation is going on by archeologist group, the shelter has 13,000 years of history that they are try to find out, if they can prove it, it is oldest living shelter in west hemispheres. Thank you Martin for a tour.

4/19/2018 De Beque Cutoff RA Panel, CO - It is located by the state highway #330 and #65, De Beque Cutoff Road, 45 1/2 Road. I was expected to hike up the hill, but that not necessary, the panel is about couple hundred feet away from the parking lot. One panel has many figures.

4/22/2018 Mill Creek, Moab, UT - It is very popular place for young people. Creek water is cold side but that doesn’t stop jump down from the cliff to the pool below. I found three distinguish rock art sites, first one is high up, 2nd one is confluence of two canyons, Mill Creek and North Fork Mill Creek, three boulder on the ground level and 3rd one is in the high up in the alcove.

4/22/2018 Morning Glory Bridge, Moab, UT - Hike up on the Negro Bill Trail, but seems to changed the name, I didn’t see the sign of the Negro Bill Trail, instead of I saw the Grandstaff Trailhead sign. The trail is very clear and cross the creek numerous times to get to the bridge. The bridge is large in size and very close to cliff behind.

4/23/2018 Courthouse Wash Rock Art site, Moab, UT - This is my second visit, the pictographs are similar to before but I have visited early morning before sun hits it, so picture came out little different. I was make sure to take petroglyphs photos too.

4/23/2018 Tow My Car, Moab, UT - When back up to park my car, I didn’t see the culvert was there, and driver side back tire was totally in the culvert hole. Waited couple hours to a tow track to rescue me. Tow track driver said, you are lucky to not rollover the car. There is a large rock in the hole and spare tire cushion it to save any damages. No damage on my car, under this circumstance, how lucky I am.

4/23/2018 Seven Mile Creek, Moab, UT - This is the lower side of the Sevenmile Canyon, but sign indicates Seven Mile Creek. Both sides of the creek are very tall walls, and no way to exit the canyon. I don’t know the next trail to go out, so that came back at the confluence of the Seven Mile Creek and Courthouse Wash. Unfortunately I didn’t find any rock art in the creek.

4/24/2018 Utah Highway 279 Rock Art Site, Moab, UT - Commonly called the Potash Road Indian Writing. There are many groups of the petroglyphs that located about 20ft high on the wall from the ground in one hundred feet range. This is the one of must see around Moab tourist attraction place.

4/24/2018 Poison Spider Rock Art Panel, Moab, UT - It is short distance from the parking lot, but steep trail to get there. There are some nice petroglyphs, also dinosaur tacks too. Very nice view from the panel, look down the Colorado River view.

4/24/2018 Jeep Arch, Moab, UT - It’s also called Gold Bar Arch. This arch is located not far from the Rainbow Bridge, however very quiet/unpopular here compare to Rainbow Bridge, because more strenuous hike is required. I have hiked a loop and arch view is better from the west side.

4/24/2018 Jug Handle Arch, Moab, UT - Short steep hill to scramble up to the petroglyphs panel that just southwest from the Jug Handle Arch, nice arch view from the panel side. This is my second visit, make sure to take enough photos of petroglyphs.

4/24/2018 Bear Panel, Moab, UT - It is located little south of the Indian Writing, but I missed it, so made sure to stop by way back. I should to go hike up, but I was tired and took photos from the faraway. It is nice Colorado River view next the Potash Road.

4/27/2018 Pritchett Canyon Safari Route, Moab, UT - This route is rated #5. To me, it is impossible to drive, but more diffuclut is more fun to drive for the fearless drivers. I had a chance to witness six 4x4ers drive up to an extremely difficult Safari Route. Watched all four tires were moved to different direction. Even brave to be a passenger on those cars.

4/27/2018 Solstice Snake Panel, Moab, UT - It is 17ft snake located middle of the beautiful red fins area near Moab. I didn’t know was, there is a trail to get there, I was one canyon south, big loop to get there, on way back I was on the trail all the way, but lost trail few times because scrambling rocks.

4/27/2018 Troll Bridge, Moab, UT - View of this relatively smaller bridge from west side is located atop of the dry waterfalls, however view from east side is a bridge over the drainage. It is located intersection of two canyons, one canyon is smaller than other.

4/28/2018 Birthing Panel, Moab, UT - It is my second time to visit. They built the wooden fence around the boulder. This boulder has petroglyphs on for all four faces. There are too many cars pass by and boulder is close to the dirt road, sooner will cover with dust all over the boulder.

4/28/2018 False Kiva Rock Art Panel, Moab, UT - This is located opposite side of the parking lot, second parking lot after paved road end, on the Kane Creek Blverd. There is a trail to climb up the steep hill, the panel is bottom of the large tall cliff wall. There is a like kiva, that the reason the name of False Kiva came from.

4/28/2018 Kane Creek Panel, Moab, UT - This is one of the rock art panel on the Kane Creek Boulevard, and located between 1st and 2nd parking lot after paved road end. Climb up the steep trail to get there, very nice view from there.

4/28/2018 Amasa Run, Moab, UT - This is an annual run event and three different categories, 6.5 miles, 9.5 miles and 15.5 miles. The course starts and ends at Amasa Back trail head, which is the 1st parking lot after end of pavement on the Kane Creek Blvd. It is beautiful place to run but over 1,000ft of elevation gain from over 4,000ft base and some of were run over 3 hrs.

4/28/2018 Behind the Rocks, Moab, UT - I have started hike on the Moab Rim Safari Route that rated #7, I can’t believe someone can drive this route, even not easy for just hike up. At the higher side, there is overview point to look down the entire town of Moab and the view is just gorgeous. 1st row center, I am standing on the road, road goes up on my right.
