9/30/2017 Red Rock Pass, ID - Lake Bonneville salt lake, Inland Sea, was here beroe. Bonneville Flood was widely flooded that cover 20,000 square miles 14,500 years ago, and 8,000 years ago dried climate that made lake to disappeared.

9/29/2017 Indian Rocks State Park, ID - It’s near the highway #15 exit 47. There is no sign of the State Park, maybe no longer state park. There is one area metal poles surrounding petroglyphs site, I guess that not enough to keep to state park open.

9/29/2017 American Falls, ID - Dam has been destroyed falls, but still American Falls reminings are there. Seems to nice place to fishing below the dam, I saw many people enjoying fishing there.

9/29/2017 Register Rock, ID - This area was one of popular places to camp when traveling on the Oregon Trail. When they camp here and register name and date on the large rock. Currently a roof top of the rock to protect it from weather related damages. Park has been detected 78 people’s names.

9/28/2017 Massacre Rocks State Park, ID - This place is located on the Oregon Train, narrow wagon trail that the place attacked by Indian and killed 10 people in 1862. The Snake River Runs beside the park and couple islands are beautiful view from the park. Devil’s Garden that location of tuff is in the park.

9/27/2017 Gold Fork Hot Springs, ID - There are 6 pools, hottest one is 111 °F and all others are getting lower temperature. All those pools are soaking pools, one pool bottom is white sand, all others are cement floors. Open noon-9pm, close Tuesday, cost $10/person. Nice mountain side hot springs, 6.5 miles from HW #55.

9/27/2017 Paytee Lake, McCall, ID - A good size lake and mountains surrounding it. Some mountains are white snow top. Located north side of highway #55, and many resorts are near the lake.

9/26/2017 Mundo Hot Springs, ID - Monday and Tuesday are closed to clean the pool, open 4pm to 9pm left of days. Original hot springs water temperature is 160 °F and 2 days to cool down to soakable temperature. One large pool and one small soaking pool. There are permanent residents and campers in the property.

9/26/2017 Brownlee Dam, ID - Waterlevel is low that maybe preparation of next water season? I don’t know the exact height of the dam, but pretty good drop. Beautiful mountains/hills surrounding the dam.

9/25/2017 Hells Canyon Adventure, ID - Excited adventure with the power boat. I was lucky to join the boat tour to enjoy beautiful Hells Canyon. It was my first experience to the class 4 and class 5-ish raftings, with powerboat there is no problem. We saw not only raftings, we saw black bears, a mountain goat and few bold eagles, it was 5.5 hrs, 75 miles RT and include lunch, cost me $177.

9/25/2017 Hells Canyon Dam, ID - The Snake River that origin of the Hells Canyon Dam, both sides of the river/dam are beautiful. The road from OR to ID that narrow and winding paved and not much places to stop by to enjoy the view. We can drive through the atop of the dam and in short distance, there is a visitor center where road end.

9/24/2017 Hells Canyon Overlook, OR - Beautiful wide range of Hells Canyon view, and top of far mountains are all white by recent snow storm. Unfortunately Snake River, which created Hells Canyon is not visible even its there.

7/23/2017 Slick Rock Falls, OR (10 miles) - I have joined to the Lewiston Day Hikers group, this is their end of the year hike, thank you to let me join to the group hike. We have hiked on the Hurricane Creek Trail, the Slick Rock Falls are located at the three miles point, and we have hiked beyond couple more miles. Spring is better to see the waterfalls because more water.

9/20/2017 Palouse Falls State Park, WA - This is one of the must see place, with gorgeous waterfalls. From the view point, waterfalls are just frot of us, nice view. The water runs to beautiful canyon and we can see from higher level, just like seeing the Grand Canyon with smaller scale.

9/20/2017 Twin Lakes, WA - There are lower and upper lakes, those lakes are on the Lake Creek. Beautiful basalt rimrocks, and some places are layers, are everywhere by the lake. When drive down to the dirt road, parking lot is located between two lakes and we can see both lake from the parking lot.

9/19/2017 Coffeepot Lake, WA - It is beautiful lake by surrounding the basalt rimrock walls. The road to get to this lake is all paved, easy to get to it. All around here is farmer fields and I was serprise when find this lake. It is well maintained short hike to access to the lake.

9/18/2017 Odessa Craters, Lake View Recreation Area, WA (1.5 miles) - There are three craters, Rock Rose, Wild garden and Ampitheater. I don’t call those are craters, seems to water pond or water deposit, especially the Rock Rose Crater is just field with vegitations. But nice place to have a short hike.

9/18/2017 Cache Crater, Lakeview Recreation Area, WA - Short hike on the well maintained wheelchair access trail that just west side of the highway #21 road side. It is a small scale of the crater and dark color of water at the bottom of the it.

9/17/2017 Pacific Lake, Lakeview Recreation Area, WA - There are fields everywhere around here and no one expected a lake is located here, which lower than fields. Around lake is beautiful basalt rimrock columneres.

9/17/2017 Swan Lake, WA - The end of paved the Scatter Creek Road is the parking lot of the Swan Lake. There are large campground and a deck in the lake for people to jump and swim during the summer. The Long Lake and Ferry Lake and this Swan Lake are located at the same area.

9/16/2017 Ferry Lake, WA - There was ferry service before to get this lake name? I don’t think so because lake is not large enough to have a ferry service. No one here, this lake is all mine today!

9/16/2017 Long Lake, WA - Only one person on the lake for fishing, very remote area and very quiet. There are hiking trails around the lake. Total 4 lakes called the Long Lake. I don’t know those lakes were one lake before or not.

9/15/2017 Greenwood Fort, BC, Canada - This fort is a privately owned. There are nearly built renting cabins, dance room, party room, gym, laundry room and nice court yard with large teepees. Other side in the fort is RV park, which gated community. Thanks to the owner, who let me take photos inside of the fort.

9/14/2017 City of Phoenix, BC, Canada - The city, population 4,000, was highest city in Canada, 4,700ft, called 'Mile High City'. At the mine was peak time, there were 16 hotels, a brewery and professional hockey team. The City of Phoenix location was current open pit site that no longer operated.

9/14/2017 Greenwood, BC, Canada - When copper mine was booming, 1897, the town population grew to 7,000, after copper mine was closed this town became a ghost town, 1940. Then during WWII 1,200 Japanese-Canadian relocated into this town, after the war population shrinked again. Currently only 25 Japanese-Canadian remind and total population is under 700.

9/13/2017 BC Copper Company, Greenwood, BC, Canada - Smelter and smokestack, chimni, are still there where company had been gone long time ago. It was 1897 population grew to 7,000 by booming copper mine at this small town by this company but didn’t last long. Smell Smokestack is 121 ft high

9/13/2017 Kettle River Museum, Midway, BC, Canada - Small and roadside museum, highway #3, displayed old train and original train station, which built in 1900, is still standing.

9/12/2017 Kelowna, BC, Canada - Okanagan Lake is a large lake and all kind water activities going on. The town of Kelowna is a large and booming city, there is no free parking in downtown. The city is still growing and have everything. It is a nice place to live that sure.

9/12/2017 Rock Hoodoos, Merritt, BC, Canada - There are two hoodoos sites that a local told me. I’ve hiked one of the canyon but can’t find it, which close to town of Merritt. Other one is just outside of town, some hoodoos are visible but can’t get closer because a large river.

9/12/2017 Nicola Lake, BC, Canada - This lake is located west side of highway A5 and south of the Stump Lake. It is a large size lake and many houses, especially new houses, standing there. Suppose to petroglyphs by the lake but many new houses built then no one knows exactly where.

9/12/2017 Stump Lake, BC, Canada - Brown color hills surrounding this lake. It is located east side of the highway A5. A few houses built by the lake shore. I didn’t see any water activities on the lake, very quiet place.

9/11/2017 Sticta Falls, Wells Gray PP, BC, Canada - Most trails are closed around here except a trail to this waterfalls. The falls are very nice under the bridge and very narrow and twisted. Only 15 minutes of hike to get there.

9/10/2017 Osprey Falls, Wells Gray PP, BC, Canada - There are three independent waterfalls, from otherside of the river to see nice view, but no way to get it. The trail to go to the Osprey Falls view point has been closed due to prevention of the wildfire.

9/10/2017 Clearwater Lake, Wells Gray PP, BC, Canada - The end of the Clearwater Valley Road, the parking lot is located. I can’t believe lake water is very clean that the why name of lake came from. We can see the bottom of the lake. The lake surrounding by mountains that have full of green trees.

9/10/2017 Marcus Falls, Bailey’s Chute, Wells Gray PP, BC, Canada - Very aggressive waterfalls in this particular area. But that’s a fun for advanced kayackers, and I actually witness couple guys kayaking this place, crazy kayakers, I took some photos but most of time they were in the water.

9/10/2017 Helmcken Falls, Wells Gray Provincial Park, BC, Canada - This is the "Wow" waterfalls, we have short hike to see it, when everyone see it "wow" come out everyone’s mouth. Its tall and massive water is falling, behind falling water, there is seems to cave like bowl figure. Way below the this massive falls, there is a tiny waterfalls attach to it.

9/10/2017 Mush Bowl, Wells Gray Provincial Park, BC, Canada - It is located the same Murtle River to the Dawson Falls and those falls are close each other. There is no view point, parked my car just passed bridge and walked on the narrow bridge to take photos. Small falls but very active falls.

9/10/2017 Dawson Falls, Wells Gray Provincial Park, BC, Canada - It is 59ft high and 350ft wide, someone called it is little Niagara Falls, its beautiful waterfalls. There are two view points but they don’t think who made view points, we want take our photos with waterfalls background, there is no way to take such photos.

9/10/2017 Spahats Falls, BC, Canada - Upper side of the large waterfalls, there are some more waterfalls but can’t see because angle of view point. There are small waterfalls between view point and large waterfalls. It was a short hike from the parking lot to the view point.

9/9/2017 Kamloops Lake, BC, Canada - It is located west side of the town of Kamloops by the highway #1 and #97. It is large in size and beautiful lake, even smoky conditiion, where wildfires are going on not far from it. I was burned mountains at time to time that result of the mountain fires.

9/8/2017 Terzaghi Dam, BC, Canada - This dam created the Carpenter Lake, which is long lake. We can drive up on the dam and marge to another road after the tunnel, which is just west side of spillway of the dam. When I was there, it was very quiet, I didn’t see anyone.

9/7/2017 Minto Townsite, BC, Canada - In 1950, the town was flooded and got severely damaged. Currently its bottom ofthe Carpenter Lake. But still we can see some reminders by the lake. Bridge River Valley, around here, used to have population about 10,000, but now about 100.

9/7/2017 Bralorne, BC, Canada - Someone told me, it is a ghost town, but there are new houses and renovated old houses. I don’t think its totally a ghost town anymore, but yes it was gold mining town.

9/7/2017 Gold Bridge, BC, Canada - There is no such thing a bridge made by gold. The highway 40, from Lillooet, was just like little Grand Canyon, very deep canyon below, beautiful view. The road is not all paved, some times dirt road. There are three waterfalls at the side of the road to enjoy. Haylmore Heritage Site and Carpenter Lake are major attraction to get to the town.

9/3/2017 Farmers Market, Whistler, British Columbia, Canada - Near the ski lifts and gondora stations, whole street filled with venders, if you are looking for a bargain, this is not the place, all very pricy, but that doesn’t stop people to come to buy goodies. Kid’s play ground is expanded than before.

9/2/2017 Pemberton Falls, British Columbia, Canada - This waterfalls location known by only locals. We parked our car in the residential area and hike up narrow and steep trail to the waterfalls. The waterfalls are bigger than I thought. However there is no safer overlook area.

9/1/2017 Squamish, British Columbia, Canada - I stopped by to see what this town looks like. The visitor center is very nicely done. A beach naar the marina is useless because chemical is leaking from the near by peper mill that a local said. There are many new houses and buildings in this new development community.
