10/31/2017 Hog Spring Rock Art, UT - There are two distinguished sites, one for pictographs and one for petroglyphs. The pictographs site is under the large alcove that visible from the highway #95. The petroglyphs site is across street and behind the rock pile, not many petroglyphs but I enjoyed it.

10/31/2017 Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, UT - It is very large area, but today I saw only upper side of the Lake Powell, and will explore many more places in near future. Large scale of beautiful rock formation everywhere that has red, white, light brown colors.

10/31/2017 Mule Canyon Ruin, UT - It is located higway #95 roadside. It has a good size ceremonial rounding room that has roof on, and many rooms of ruin surounding it.

10/31/2017 Edge of Cedars State Park, Blanding, UT - This is small scale of the state park, only one building and one ruin. However upper side of auditorium and stairway are many replica or rock art that was very nice and I really enjoyed it.

10/28/2017 Sky View Arch, Canyonland National Park, UT - Similar to the Paul Bunyans Potty, but little northwest. There is no indication of this arch on hiking guide, so I called it 'Sky View Arch', because all I can see otherside of the arch is sky from the ground. Again seems to the ruin in the cave under the arch but not sure, too high to conform.

10/28/2017 Paul Bunyans Potty, Canyonlands National Park, UT - The pothole arch is top of the cliff and shape of hole/arch is different from far and close views. I can see the ruin in the cave or below the arch/pothole, but it is too high to comform from the ground. Otherhand I found a small ruin below the arch on the ground.

10/28/2017 Tower Ruin, Canyonland National Park, UT (10 miles) - The ruin is in the cave that way up the middle of the cliff. It was not easy to built the ruins there. However view from the ruin is an excellent, front area is flat but surrounding by beautiful rock formations.

10/26/2017 Peek-A-Boo Panel, Canyonlands National Park, UT (8.7 miles) - Way to this panel, the road is full of water, Peekaboo Springs water runs into the road. I can tell that three groups were here, 1st group that draw the sharman figures with red ink, then 2nd group over write with white ink, 3rd group draw hands picture beside those.

10/26/2017 Hands Panel, Canyonlands National Park, UT - It is located in the Peekaboo Springs area, not far from the Peek-A-Boo Panel. There are many hnads pictographs, red, white, black and brown. Sad thing is those pictographs are fading out. I still don’t understand why a radder in the crack.

10/22/2017 Indian Creek Petro, UT - I was lucky to find three distingushed petroglyphs sites along the highway #211, west side of the Newspaper Rock, where Indian Creek is running by the highway. Couple sites are on the ground level and one is about 100ft above the ground.

10/22/2017 Cave Spring, Canyonland National Park, UT - This is not first time to visit, but I did a loop hike again. There are couple radders to climb up, when got at higher area, I enjoy the view of the needles and wide view of the park.

10/22/2017 Roadside Ruin, Canyonland National Park, UT - Very short hike to get this ruin from the highway #211. The ruin is located at middle of cliff in the cave, that protected from wear out by the weathere.

10/21/2017 Indian Creek Canyon, UT - It is like the Goblin Valley State Park from far view, when close to it, much more larger scale. It is unique red color rounding top rocks, beautiful place.

10/21/2017 Bridge Jack Road Petro, UT - There is no mark/sign, even no parking lot for this site, but its visible from the dirt Bridge Jack Road. There are many boulders but only this boulder has petroglyphs on it. One of the petroglyphs is large size of human figure.

10/20/2017 Newspaper Rock, UT - I was here before, I try to capture individual figure petroglyphs or least with samll group on the panel, there are so many figires, but I think I did capture ok.

10/20/2017 Loyds Lake, Monticello, UT - Small size man-made lake that close to the town of Monticello. There is a loop trail to hike up to but when I got there it was windy and cold, no one was there to hike.

10/19/2017 Moab UT - The town population in winter is 5,000-5,500 and summer 7,000-7,500, which relatively a small town. Uniqueness of this town is visible of many motel/hotel/lodge and hike/bike/ATV tour coumpanies. 2,000,000 tourists pass this town annually. The town-self is not so interesting but surrounding places are people’s dream to come to see it.

10/17/2017 Hanging Flume, CO - Getting water from way below bottom of the canyon river and transfe it into some places upper side of the canyon. I thought insane idea to place the flume at middle of straight large canyon wall, scary place, but they did it, all I can say was Wow!

10/17/2017 Doloress Canyon, CO - Highway #141 is an amazing view of cliff walls both sides of highway. The red color with black oxidized red rocks that the main color. Walls are very tall and human figure is very tiny small ant like.

10/16/2017 Doloress River Petroglyphs, UT - To get this place, drive up to Colorado and then cross the dirt road to get into Utah. I was expected much more petroglyphs but all I found were some, maybe I didn’t find main panels. The view around here is just gorgeous, no disappointment even can’t find a lot petroglyphs.

10/15/2017 Floy Petroglyphs, UT (6.8 miles) - I have hiked great distance and found only one boulder has few petroglyphs. There are many boulders but untouched, I wonder why. It is nice view area to hike even not much petroglyphs.

10/14/2017 Book Cliffs Petro, UT - Several panels in this area, main attraction is two large panels full of petroglyphs. Unusual thing was petroglyphs between two panels that bearly one person go through side way, a means not easy to take photos to back up, there is no room to back up. There are more panels but most of are fading out.

10/14/2017 Intestine Man, UT - I was expected the Intestine Man is much large in size, but actually very small pictographs and petroglyphs near by. It is located north side of the busy highway #313, I passed many time and didn’t recognized it.

10/13/2017 Bartlett Rock Art, UT - Pictographs here are large figures. The information boad posted petroglyphs picture, I try to find it but no luck. I wonder petroglyphs are from here or not, if not why posted?

10/11/2017 Castle Rock Hill Petro, UT (3.8 miles) - Atop of the hill boulders near northwest of the Castle Rock, that the location of the petro. I spend too much time to finding it in the canyon, if know the exact location, mileage is less than half of I have hiked. The petro is faded out and not deep enough, so that not easy to recognized figures.

10/10/2017 Fisher Towers, UT (3 miles) - Red rock towers, incredible figures of tall towers. When hike on the trail, can see layers of towers. The towers and tall and thin. Unbelievable thing is, rock climbers are atop of the towers, see last row third from left photo.

10/10/2017 Colorado Riverway Recreation Area, UT - Highway #128 that parallel to the Colorado River, both sides of road are breathtaking view. Red color dominated that makes incretable scene with tall walls/cliffs by the river.

10/10/2017 Highway #128 Petro, UT - Highway #128 that runs from I-70 to highway 191, Moab. This place is road side of highway #128 and by the Colorado River. Petro is one of the boulders that face to highway #128 by the small parking lot.

10/9/2017 Westwater Canyon, UT - Highway #70 exit 227 to get to the Westwater Canyon Ranger Station, which is the end of the paved road. This place is popular place to start, end or just pass by the Colorado River rafting trip. I have drove from exit 221 to drive up to the atop of the cliff, but road is rough and not recommended.

10/9/2017 Sego Rock Art, UT - This site is in the private property that adjacent to the BLM Sego Rock Art sites, the BLM site I have been couple times and skip at this time. There are many graffities that destroyed original petroglyphs and pictographs, sad...

10/9/2017 Floy Canyon, UT - Down Floy Canyon is an amazing view from highway #70, that the reason I stopped by to enjoy the beautiful cliffs. The dirt road takes me to the center of the beautiful gunkans area.

10/8/2017 Horse Canyon, UT (5 miles) - Someone mentioned me there are petroglyphs in the Horse Canyon. Unfortunately I can’t find it. I have asked several hunters, but no one knows. It is hunting season and saw many hunters. Even can’t find it, it was nice hike here.

10/7/2017 Coke Oven, East Carbon City, UT - There are as many as 400 coke ovens still remind here where originally 650. I believe this place is the world’s high quantity of coke ovens still standing.

10/6/2017 Price Canyon Recreation Area, UT - The road to get place is narrow and steep at time-to-time, but paved all the way, last one mile or so is the dirt road. Tree leaves are gorgeous fall color, gold and red and between.

10/6/2017 Stavation Reservoir, Duchesne, UT - It is located west side of the Duchesne. There are 6 campgrounds in the state park, which telling popular place for summer. When I was there, not many people. It is a nice lake with cliff, blue water, sand beach, where elevation is 5,720ft, established 1972.

10/5/2017 Horseshoe Bend, Vernal, UT - Green River creates this horseshoe bends, the main horseshoe bend is very large, no way to fit into one photo. There is little horseshoe bend that I took photos. Around here is mainly pink color cliffs all around.

10/4/2017 Moonshine Arch, Vernal, UT (2.2 miles) - It is one of Vernal’s best kept secrets, when I heared it, I have to see it. The arch is not visible until get there, 85ft in length and 40ft above the ground. We can walk atop of the arch if want to. It is large and beautiful arch, and alcoves near by.

10/3/2017 Red Fleet State Park, UT (3 miles) - I’ve hiked to the Dinosaur Track Site, follow the black dinosaur foot print. The Red Fleet Reservoir is beautiful lake, which dinosaur track is located at the lake shore. I found only couple clear ones.

10/3/2017 Sheep Creek Canyon, Flaming Gorge National Recreational Area, UT - This Sheep Creek Canyon Geological Area loop is located southwest side of the Flaming Gorge. There are incretable and beautiful tall rock walls both side of the road, many times walls are too tall and can’t see the top of the wall.

10/3/2017 Highway #414, WY - The badland is continue on highway #414 that south side of the town 'Mountain View'. Beautiful but not many places to stop and enjoy the scene.

10/2/2017 Mountain View Badland, WY (2.4 miles) - South side of town 'Mountain View', there are beautiful badland that both sides of the highway 414 for miles. Those are on the BLM land and dirt road is rough. When weather is little warmer, this is nice place to hike.
