8/31/2017 Camano Island, WA - The island is only at high tide, when at low tire it is not an island, became a peninsular, by shallow not so wide river. Island surrounding by Skagit Bay, north, Port Susan, east and Saratoge Passage, south & west. There are large shore line but mainly owned by privates and not public access to enjoy the beach except couple state parks.

8/30/2017 Kayak Point County Park, WA - There are many old driftwoods on the beach. The beach is nice sand and long, the picnic tables are under the shelfs along the beach. The playground and pier are faced the Port Susan that very calm current. Nice place to relax and enjoy the sun.

8/30/2017 Washingon State Capitol, Olympia, WA - 1889 became WA State. 5yrs to built building and cost was $7M. Inside is extensively using beautiful Alaskan marble. 2004 damaged by earthquick and renovated that costed $120M. Only 1/2 hr of free parking visitors get that not enough to see all.

8/29/2017 Fall Creek, WA (2.2 miles) - There are many small waterfalls in the creek that I though but not the case. Very little water in the creek and no such thing waterfalls around here, just the name of the area called Fall Creek, that was not excited, but nice tall trees and many furns both sides of trail was worth to hike.

8/28/2017 McKenny Trail, WA (3.4 miles) - No spectacular destination for this trail, a mean trail goes from CG to another CG. Dirt road is running near by this trail, I was wondering why both road and trail run pretty much the same direction, should to eliminate one to save maintenance cost.

8/27/2017 Mima Falls, Capitol State Forest, WA (4.8 miles) - Not much water in the waterfalls. The gun shooting range close to TH and non stop shooting that made uncomfortable/irritate to hike. The trail share with horseback riders, bicycle riders, and hikers. There were many hourse droppings, many fast speed cyclists, many hikers with dogs, what a way to enjoy hike in WA.

8/26/2017 Porter Falls, Capitol State Forest, WA (2 miles) - There are tall and green trees and many furns added some more greens. Well maintained trail that everyone can enjoy even small children. Not much water in the falls but nice place to be.

8/25/2017 North Jetty, Ocean Shores Peninsular, WA - Stack up boulders that convert aggressive ocean waves to little more gentrol waves, also its prevent land corrosion. There are many new development of new houses there.

8/24/2017 Damon Point, Ocean Shores Peninsular, WA (2.5 miles) - Damon Point Beach Access Protection Island is protected to no public access, however beach is exceptional, it was not high tide and I’ve hiked beach shore loop. There are many birds called it home, when I saw it that was overwhelming.

8/24/2017 Quinault Harbor, Ocean Shores Peninsular, WA - This place is located south side of the Ocean Shore Peninsular, which Grays Harbor met Pacific Ocean. Very nice sand beach, however water is little cold side to swim. I had a chance to observe that to smoke Salmon at the smoke fish house and 3-4 hrs to complete it.

8/23/2017 Port Ilwaco, WA - The town is located at the mouse of Columbia River and Pacific Ocean and port is south side of the town. There are many fishing boats that include many out of state boats in the port that indicate good place to fishing around here.

8/23/2017 Cape Disappointment State Park, WA - I have been to Cape Disappointment Lighthouse, North Head Lighthouse, currently renovation is going on and not open for the public, and Bills View that wheelchair access trail all the way, interesting WWII ara building is still standing there.

8/22/2017 International Kite Festival, Long Beach, WA - Kite festival here is everyone can perticipate enjoy the flying the kite, very relaxing. When I saw Japanese kite festival, there are much intense and enthusiasm, kites are much larger in size and only team work to fly it that like watching a show.

8/22/2017 Nohcotta, North Beach Peninsula, WA - Oyster factory tour that a stranger local took me to the inside the factory. A dozon men are incredible speed to open and remove oyster from the shell. Another room, women are wash, sort and fill into the jars. At the outside of factory, there are mountain of oyster shells that re-use it for next year.

8/22/2017 Oysterville, North Beach Peninsula, WA - This town is the oldest town in Washington State. There is not many stores, mainly residential area. Pacific Ocean is located west side and Willapa Bay is located east side, where Willapa Bay is very quiet, no current, and Pacific Ocean is aggressive current.

8/22/2017 Leadbetter Point State Park, North Beach Peninsula, WA - Northern most of the Long Beach peninsula that this place is located. Therea are few short hiking trails. Need the Discover Pass to get in.

8/22/2017 World Kite Museum, Long Beach, WA - 1st floor is kite store, video room and posters on the walls. Upstair has actual kites displayed that from all over the world include Japan, which is enthousiasm for kite. According to their video, there are many places in the world have kite festival.

8/21/2017 HOH Resevation, WA - HOH pronounce 'Ho'. When I got at the end of the road, total solor eclipse party was going on in the foggy condition. They gave me a solar viewer to look at the total solor eclipse. It was amazing to see it that changing by minutes. When it was over foggy disappeared.

8/20/2017 Jamestown, S’klallam Tribe, WA - The buildings are 8 to 10 yrs old, where I thought its 2 to 3 yers old, and very nice landscape between behind building to ocean. This tribe is rich, many be that come from casino, by the highway #101.

8/19/2017 Farmers Market, Sequim, WA - There were many classic cars displayed for entire street. Farmers Market is not big market and not totally related with farmer, more lake art and craft market.

8/19/2017 Dungeness National Wildlife refuge, Sequim, WA - It is located east side of Port Angeles and northern area of town of Sequim. We can see the Vancouver Island. The dungeness that a remining land and too small or too less to call it peninsula in the sea, but view is wonderful.

8/19/2017 Flea Market, Sequim, WA - There are about 20 boots, not so big, to sale many items, mainly local people blowsing there even located by the highway. Seems to all item prices are negotiable.

8/18/2017 Renault, WA - Renault is French version of RV, about $200,000, 2bdrm, toilet, showere, kitchen, eating area and ATV storage, and many small compartments that very usefull. Inside is nearly 8ft height, anyone can standup nicely. Thanks for showing me Fabric and Marie, happy traveling.

8/18/2017 Lake Crescent, Olympic National Forest, WA - When I saw the lake from the trail yesterday, I wanted to enjoy the lake, usually I just drive trough, where highway #101 is running west side of the lake. The lake is long and surrounding by green mountains. It is blue lake water.

8/17/2017 Mt Muller, Olympic National Forest, WA (12.8 miles) - When started hiking, fog was very dence, can’t see far view and I got wet by moisture on the plants/weeds, where trail was narrow enought to touch me. A good news was, when I got atop of the mountain I was above the cloud, it was magnificent experience. I picked up lobster mushroom on the way back, it was my first time to pick and cooked and ate it, tast was just like potato.

8/16/2017 Muller Trail, Olympic National Forest, WA ( 4.7 miles) - I didn’t do any homework and jump into the trail, so that when reached at 2.3 miles turn back because I don’t know how long whole trail is. when came back I found it is 12.8 miles long that do-able for me.

8/14/2017 Shipwreck Point, WA - There is no remining of the shipwreck at this point. All I can see is long small brown colored rocks surface beach. It was cold, needed a jacket to walk around. I can’t tell where ocean end and sky start, it was cloudy.

8/14/2017 Ozette lake, Olympic National Park, WA - This is the largest lake in the Olympic National Park, but not many people come to enjoy the water activities because remote area. It is quiet and lot of nature remind here.

8/13/2017 Wedding Rock Petro, Olympic National Park, WA (9.2 miles) - I have hiked a loop, the trail is well maintained and most of are boad walk, however no trail between Cape Alava and Sand Point, walk on the beach shore, need low tide period. I was lucky to find some petroglyphs but not easy because no signs. There is a ranger station, but no ranger, so that it was closed. However parking lot was pack of the cars, over 100 and campground is only 15 sites.

8/12/2017 Sekiu, WA - There are many RVs in this limited area, population is very dense in this area. Seems to RVers are like here. There are many boats in the harbor. Sea condition is calm today.

8/12/2017 Clallam Bay, WA - Sea water is cold and onone there to swim or enjoy the beach. It is nice long beach and wide ocean view. It is northern edge of US, Vouncouver Island is not visible today.

8/12/2017 Murdock Beach, WA - This area is not affected with wild fire smoky that from the BC, Canada. I can see the green and blue sky instead of white gray like smoky sky. Sand beach but many seaweeds cover most of it. Sea is northern part of the US.

8/10/2017 Ferry Edmonds → Kingstone, WA - This is another ferry to go to the Olympic National Park area. Waited about one hour on the road, ferry waiting line on the street. Odd thing was rail road terminal and ferry terminal are side by side and waiting ferry line must wait, long fright train when started to loading to the ferry. But I was happy to be in Olympic NP area.

8/10/2017 Ferry Mukilteo → Clinton, WA - It was only 15 minutes ferry ride. But next ferry to go to Port Townsend was nightmire, one of the ferry was mechanical trouble and they don’t know when to accept passengers, and no way to ride ferry there. So that forced me to came back the same ferry back to where I started, Mukilteo, it was wasting my few hours.

8/9/2017 Iron Goat Trail, WA (7.8 miles) - This is a fun place for the family who has small children, because trail is wheelchair access, and many attractions include many tunnels, snowsheal and signs, this area is one of the largest cascade tunnels in US. Upper side of trail is not recommended because too many tall weeds and bushes to deal with.

8/8/2017 Copper Lake, West Fork Foss Lakes, WA (8.4 miles include Trout Lake) - Air condition was not good because smoke from wildfires at BC, Canada. I don’t know I want to hike or not under the smokey condetion, but I won’t have another chance to hike up here, so drag myself to hike on the steep trail.

8/8/2017 Trout lake, West Fork Foss Lakes, WA - First lake from the TH, it is relatively smaller lake compare to other lakes around here. There are many lakes in the West Fork Foss Lakes area, and popular place for hiking. However it is not free to hike, there is fee for usage.

8/7/2017 White River Upper Falls, WA (4.1 miles) - I didn’t know this place does exist until someone mentioned me yesterday. It is located at the end of the road #207, there is a bridge and beautiful waterfalls. Hike on the road and distance is not too long, a means good for family hike.

8/6/2017 White River Falls, WA (2.8 miles) - Water is all white in the falls. Road was closed forautomobil because water damage of the road. Waterfalls are not good angle to take photos, but managed to got some.

8/6/2017 Lake Wenatchee, WA - This is a good place for family to enjoy on the sand beach of the lake. There is wire out the lake, so people know where the safe place to swim in the lake. I heard many Spanish speaking.

8/6/2017 Peshastin Pinnacles State Park, WA (1.1 miles) - It is small state park and there are trails for hike and rock clibming. The trails are narrow and steep to the top of the mountain. The view was very nice, if no wildfire smoke then better view, all grayed out by wildfires.

8/4/2017 Potholes Reservoir, WA - Potholes Canal is branched out from the reservoir, color of water is very nice like gracier melted water color, mixed green and blue color. It is a big reservoir, can’t see otherside of the lake shore. Wildfire smoke is affected and not clear view.

8/3/2017 Portland, OR - I didn’t do the homework prior to visit this city, a means I don’t know where to go to see attractions. Walk around and ride light rail and found something I am interested. I’ll homework at next time.

8/3/2017 Japanese American Historical Plaza, Portland, OR - It is a tiny place and most of displays are photos, which nothing to impressed me. They charged $3 for admission fee that too expensive, even free of charge nothing to impressed people with current items.

8/3/2017 China Town, Portland, OR - China Town is little uncomfortable place to be because homeless people are sleeping here and there at front of the empty stores. China garden is smaller size but condenced, it cost me $9 to get in, I though that expensive for this scale of garden.

8/1-8/3/2017 AMTRAK Chicago → Portland → Pasco, WA - Cost from Chicago to Portland was $237 and Portland to Pasco was $44. Total round trip cost me $456, 8 states, 4,510 miles and 6 days. It was fun and meet many nice people, only one thing I want to request was need to clean the train window, so that can take better photos.
