9/30/16 Lava Flow, Davis Lake, OR (5 miles) - Lava Flow is located northeast of Davis Lake. It is black lava in wide area but no spesific name of this area. Unbelievable thing that trees are growing top of the Lava. I enjoyed hike around the Lava Flow area.

9/29/16 Davis Lake, OR - It is Highway #46 roadside lake. Many tall water weeds are growing the lake shore. I saw many different kind birds that include large white pelicans. I enjoy changing scene by the time change. It is popular place for hunting, which starts October 1st.

9/28/16 Waldo Lake, OR - The sign said, this is the 2nd largest lake and cleanest water in Oregon, can see the deep place is a dark blue color water. I had no time to find out the history of the old log cabin that still standing in the park.

9/28/2016 Salt Creek Falls, OR - My 2nd time here, pretty good water flow the falls. It is very tall falls. There are trails, but I saw the falls from the view point that top of the falls level, a means I didn’t go to the bottom of the falls.

9/28/16 Hills Creek Reservoir, OR - Currently they are repairing the Dam Tower, need to lower the water level, so that releasing water, lake water level is very low. I try to read a book in the best view possible place, and I did it.

9/27/2016 Warm Springs, OR (1 mile) - When setting the bottom of the springs, can tell warm water was getting from the bottom of the hot springs. Very nice area to relax, wish little more hot water.

9/26/2016 Salmon Creek Falls, OR - It is located behind the campground, to through the campground and park in the campground to get it. It is short falls but enough water flow, it was neat falls.

9/26/2016 McCredit Hot Springs, OR - It is located by the highway #58, it is roadside hot springs. Water level of the hot springs was low and need to mix up hot and cold, from the river, that was hassle. It was fun but not enjoy the hot springs.

9/24/2016 Office Covered Bridge, Westfir, OR - This is a beautiful red color covered bridge. There are two segments, one is car driving way and small one is the pedestrian walk way. Car can drive through but one end of the road is a park.

9/26/2016 Pinard Falls, OR (1 mile) - This is my bonus falls, I didn’t know the existance of it, found from the street sign. It is long waterfalls and about 100 ft or so before to reach the waterfalls, can see the overview from the trail.

9/26/2016 Moonfalls, OR (1 mile) - When close to the waterfalls, I can hear dripping water sound before seeing the waterfalls, this waterfalls are not that the case, moss all over the rocks/cliff that absorb the sound and hardly noticed the waterfalls are there.

9/25/2016 Spirit Falls, OR (1 mile) - To get to the waterfalls was all downhill, a means to come back was all uphill. It is nicely the moss on the cliff and around the waterfall to make special look.

9/25/2016 Parker Falls, OR (1.5 miles) - Two waterfalls, Upper and Lower, and Lower has two waterfalls, top and bottom. I have managed to get nice photos from the Lower Top waterfalls. There is no trail toward to the Upper and bottom of the Lower falls.

9/25/2016 Trestle Creek Falls, OR (1 mile) - It is beautiful waterfalls, but if more water flow then more beautiful. It is nice place to hike by large trees and nature surrounding it.

9/24/2016 Dorena Covered Bridge, OR - It is functionally drive through bridge but doesn’t go anywhere, road end 50ft or so but its visible from the actual road.

9/24/16 Eugene Saturday Market, OR - It is divided craft area and product area by the street. Many venders that must sell own original products, $13/boot + 10% of total sold that pay to the association.

9/22/16 Sand Lake, OR - Sand Lake, West Winds Sand Dune and Cape Kiwanda beach that I have stopped by and I saw Alpacas. Where Ocean brings sand that unknown, but sands are constantly increasing by low and high tides. One distingush rock called the Haystack Rock located in the Kiwanda beach.

9/21/2016 Cape Trail, OR (4.8 miles) - Hiked with some spots were muddy to get to the tip of the Cape. The view is nice for the south side beach but not for the north side beach, view blocked by many trees. It is popular place to hike, I saw many visitors hiking on the trail. I spend 2 hours for this hike, a means 2.4 miles/hr speed.

9/21/16 Cape Meares, OR - Road was closed, and I have to run twice to cover the entire roadway. I have visited Big Sitka Spruce Tree, Octopus Tree and Lighthouse. The glasses of the lighthouse have damaged, a guide told that couple young guys shoot 15 times with no reason.

9/19/2016 Seaside, OR - When cross the Columbia River from Washington State to Oregon, pass the large bridge, Astoria-Megler Bridge, during driving on the bridge, the large cruise was crossing under the bridge, I took a photo when driving. At the town of Seaside, Broadway street was packed cars and visitors, busy place.

9/19/2016 Bay Center, WA - It is very end of the road that’s unique place. This area has no overview point, must to go through the Bush Pioneer County Park to get to the smalll beach, no one in the Park or beach, when I was there. I don't know we can go through the top of the Goose Point or not, no one there to ask.

9/19/16 Westport, WA - This is a busy fishermen port and I saw many fishermen boats. There are many stores and many visitors, It is enthusiastic town and I thought the sideboard walkway is nicely done. However Toke Point that was different story, only one store and not many boats and no visitors.

9/18/16 Quinault National Recreation Area, WA - There are many things to see in this area, here are some of I have visited such as World’s Largest Sitka Spruce Tree, Lake Quinault, Falls Creek Falls, Rain Forest Natural Trail and added the Big Cedar Area that not far from it. More than 800 years old trees in ther Rain Forest Nature Trail.

9/18/2016 Ruby Beach, WA - There are many large size drift logs on the beach, not easy to cross over to get to the sand beach. There are few islands/boulders standing beautifully. Small rocks on the beach are flatted out by the ocean wave.

9/17/16 La Push, Quileute Indian Reservation, WA - I have been to both the La Push and Rialto Beach before, a means this is my second time to visit here. Weather was not good and picture didn’t come out like I expected. Even not good weather, I saw more visitors than before.

9/16/2016 Sol Duc Hot Springs, Olympic National Park, WA - This is my third time here if I remember correctly. There are too many people sorking in the pools, and hot springs water is filthy that was disappointed that addition to road construction was going on and waited about one hour to reach the hot springs.

9/16/2016 Madison Falls, Olympic National Park, WA - Short distance to hike up to the falls from the TH. The road is closed at this TH. Its popular place and many people enjoy short hike to see the beautiful waterfalls.

9/14/2016 Ferry Victoria, British Columbia, Canada - Port Angles, WA, USA - I was at the Victoria ferry terminal around 9:30am but all sold out for 10:30am and 3pm ferrys. On the waiting list of 3pm, they really packed cars at 3pm ferry, I got on, but few people couldn’t make it. During waiting time, blowsed Victoria harbor area.

9/14/16 Ferry Pender Island - Swatz Bay, WA - This was direct ferry from the port of the Pender Island to the Swatz Bay, Vancouver Island or people said Victoria, there were packed of cars for 1st ferry at the day, I assume many people are commuting.

9/12-9/13/2016 Pender Island, British Columbia, Canada - This island is actually the two islands, North and South Pender Islands connected by 1 line bridge. I have visited Gowlland Point, Brooks Point, Hope Bay, Port Wahington, Roe Islet, Irene Bay, Starvation Bay, Oak Bluff Park View Point, Magic Lake, Thieves Bay. Best view from the Oak Bluff Park View Point, and Thieves Bay is the best place to watch the Whales.

9/10-9/11/2016 Saturna Island, British Columbia, Canada (total 10 miles hike) - I have visited the Winter Cove, East Point, Echo Bay, Narvaez Bay, Monarch Head and Mt Warbarton. I met Sandra and John, they were kindly to let me stay their Shorehouse. I have hiked to Mt Warbarton, which has incredible view.

9/8-9/9/2016 Galiano Island, British Columbia, Canada (total 9 miles of hike) - 49th Parallel, Ecological Reserve, Retreat Cove, Pebble Beach, Mt Galiano, those are I have visited in this island. Hike up to get but atop of the Mt Galiano has an amazing view of the layer of the islands. Retreat Cove is privately owned but public access to it and fun place to be.

9/6-9/7/2016 Mayne Island, British Columbia, Canada - I have visited Village Bay, Georgina Point Heritage Park and Lighthouse, Bennett Bay, Horton Bay, Henderson Community Park, Mt Parke Park and Japanese Garden. The Japanese Garden was highlight of this island, it is well maintained beautiful garden.

9/2-9/6/2016 Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada - We have rented a house that found from the airbnb.com site, and my daughter and my niece families, total eight of us, spend few days in this house on this island. We have visited the Farmer’s Market, Beddies Beach, Mt Maxwell Provincial Park and Model Railway World.

9/2/16 Ferry Swartz Bay, Vancouver Island to Fulford Harvour, Solt Spring Island, BC - Drove short distance from the Sidney to the Swartz Bay. The ferry was no problem to get a ticket, however there was no announcement when to ride or leave the bay, just follow the front of the car that all I could, stanning view to see the many islands.

9/2/2016 Ferry Anacories, WA to Sidney, BC - The ferry tickets ware all sold out and only I can do was to stand by to waiting on the line. I got ferry terminal early and waited three hours and got it, ferry was 2 1/2 hrs ride. Ferry does go through between many islands and beautiful view.
