10/31/2015 Warren Peak, Joshua Tree National Park, CA (5.6 miles) - It was nice class 2 hike. A lot of Joshua Trees when started, but getting less and less. It was nice wide view from the peak. The peak elevation is 5,103 ft.

10/30/2015 Randsburg, CA - Use to be a gold mine town, they extracted $25 Millions of gold from the mine. Currently a ghost town and some residents in the mountain community.

10/29/2015 Sheep Springs Petroglyphs, Ridgecrest, CA - There are so many side roads, stay on EP 26 road till the parking lot with couple picnic tables by the several cotton trees. I parked my car 1.7 miles before the parking lot, because I am nervous driver on the rocky surface road. The petroglyphs rocks are located on the side of the hill by the picnic tables.

10/27/2015 Ayer's Rock Pictographs, CA - There are many boulders around here, but only one boulder has red and black color pictographs on it. One of the pictographs are large in size, human size. When I saw this place from the distance, I thought there are so many petroglyphs, but not, all those are just scratches.

10/27/2015 Fossil Falls, CA - I wanted to hike the bottom of the falls without rock climbing, today I was successfully to find the way to go down. The view from the bottom up the falls was just spectacular, the walls are so high up. Addition to I found 4 separate petroglyphs places.

10/25/2015 Miracle Hot Springs, Lake Isabella, CA - This is wild hot springs also and to get there from the Hobo Campground that couple miles north from the Remington HS. It was nice hot springs before but dynamite out to destroyed it, I don't know why. But that doesn't stop people to come to enjoy hot springs.

10/25/2015 Remington Hot Springs, Lake Isabella, CA - It is a wild hot springs. When I got there, more people than the tabs can handle. There are few small hot tabs. Shortly after most people left. It is very nice to enjoy the river side hot springs, if not many people around.

10/24/2015 Isabella Lake, CA - If drought continue for 2 to 3 more years, this lake will be dried out. Water level is way low and hard to believe the water level was atop of the dam one time. There are many birds in this place, I enjoyed bird watching. Highway #178 to get this place is narrow but beautiful rock formation.

10/24/2015 Pyramid Lake, CA - I have been to Pyramid Lake in NV that the island shape is the pyramid. However this lake is different, behind the island there is man-made curved mountain side that shape look like pyramid, so it called Pyramid Lake.

10/23/2015 Castaic Lake State Recreation Area, CA - 2/3 of the lake water is gone by past 4yrs of drought. This lake water is the drinking water for the communities around here. The lake shape is "V" about 3 miles long each legs, and close to highway #5.

10/22/2015 Carpinteria, CA - Funny thing to me, that campers and RVs are packed on the road beach side for miles, there is no privacy or queiet moments, but seems to they don't care. Local showed me around the Guava Bushes and Abocado Trees, where Pinapple Guava fluets are very sweet.

10/22/2015 Stewart House, Montecito, CA - This is one of the house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is visible from the street but only front side. Uniqueness of this house from outside view is, there are so many small windows.

10/22/2015 Santa Barbara, CA - The pier is large in size and cars are drive up to it and busy place. The beach is miles long, and harbor is a good size. There is parking shortage that apply for many CA beach towns. The downtown is many stores line up on both sides of the street.

10/21/2015 Avila Beach, CA - This area is developed not long ago, a means beach front near the pier is so organized and only stores located there. The beach is small in size.

10/21/2015 Cycamore Mineral Springs, Avila Beach, CA - They rent a tab for hourly. There are many small tabs, 2 people can fit maximum, and some larger tabs. It is located steep mountain side. There are no shower provided, so rince off mineral is not option.

10/21/2015 Avila Valley Hot Springs, CA - There are swiming pool and soaking pool, where soaking pool is 102 to 104F degrees. Very clear water and tiny amount of the mineral ordor. It is not far from the highway #101 on the Avila Beach Drive.

10/19/2015 Pismo Beach, CA - There is long sand beach, but not many people because of the season off. The Pisomo Beach Pier, that wider than I thought, is nice place to walk and look at who enjoy on the beach and fishing.

10/19/2015 Monarch Butterfly Grove, Pismo Beach, CA - Monarch butterflies are immigrating south to north and vice versa twice a year and they stop by this place to enjoy their jorney. I saw two different colors of the Monarch butterflies in this pleace, one is bright orange/black and other one is more glay like color.

10/19/2015 California Coastal National Monument, CA - I am still confusing because another name apply here that the Montana de Oro State Park. I guess its property of both organizations. There are white waves all over the shore side with rock formation to produce wonderful view. Someone told me it is place to pick abalone, but I didn't have a chance.

10/18/2015 Morro Bay, CA - Three large chimnys standing that old power plant, not using anymore but leave it as a town iconic. Bay side is packed stores and people, uniqueness of this bay is, sand dunes separte the Pacific Ocean and inner bay.

10/18/2015 Eagle Rock Peak, San Luis Obispo, CA - When I was hiking in the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden, I saw a pole like large object at top of the mountain, so that I try to find out. I saw it, but I still don't know what it is. The view from the top was very nice.

10/17/2015 San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden, CA - Mid of October, but still we can enjoy some flowers in this botanical garden. Also I enjoyed rare plants and trees beside flowers. It is large area and still process of developing.

10/17/2015 Kundert Medical Clinic, San Luis Obispo, CA - No indication of who desinged this building, but it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and still good condition to use it. His favolite color of brick used a lot for this building. A stranger take me to this place, I followed him to get this place, when I asked direction, I don't know who you are, but thank you.

10/17/2015 Franklin Lake Hot Springs, Paso Robles, CA - There is one large warm springs pool to enjoy swiming or soaking. The large pump in the pool to pumpup the hot water from below. People enjoy swiming also mud face mask, which got it from the bottom of the pool. This hot springs water run into the lake that adjacent to the pool.

10/17/2015 Paso Robles Inn, Paso Robles, CA - This place has a long history, since 1870s, associated with hot springs. It was called El Paso De Robles Springs Hotel before fired 1940, rebuilt Inn 1942, only ballroom servived and still using it. Currently hot springs tab are come with some rooms.

10/17/2015 River Oak Hot Springs and SPA, Paso Robles, CA - They have indoor and outdoor hot tabs that open for the public. I got indoor hot mineral tab room, where windows are open no glasess, air circulate nicely. I paid $15 for one hour soak.

10/16/2015 Lake Nacimiento, CA - I was the Lake San Antonio before the Lake Nacimiento. I was so sad to see that 4yrs of drought in California and Lake San Antonio, large lake, was totally dried out 2yrs ago, and Lake Nacimiento has some water still in it. Near by houses are buying track load of drinking water to their water tank.

10/13-14/2015 Pinnacles National Park, CA - This is newest and 2nd smallest National Park in US. Temperature was 100F degrees when started hiking, I was heat exotion for while. There are variety of things to we can enjoy such as man-made tunnels that made by CCC, reservoir, caves and view of pinnacles.

10/12/2015 Della Walker House, Carmel, CA - This is one of the houses Frank Lloyed Wright designed house standing by the beach. There is only three houses by the oceanside from the Scenic Road. Nice ocean view and semi-private beach, but weather is not good, this place is scary place.

10/12/2015 Santa Cruz, CA - There are lighthouse and surf museum in one place. The surfing stated at this point. Water is little cool side but that doesn't stop people to surfing, there are many good surfers. I saw sea otters at Moss landing Stere Beach.

10/12/2015 Pegeon Point Light Station, CA - It is the state historical park. It is 115ft that tallest operating lighthouse on the west coast. 16ft tall weighted 2 tons of the fresnel lens used that bright enogh to highway drivers complaine, so that put window cartain for highway side, use only ocean side in the lighthouse.

10/11/2015 Half Moon Bay, CA - Most of the day, it was foggy but sun showed up some times. Driving highway #1 around Half Moon Bay is hectic because traffic moves very slow caused by watching surfin from their cars.

10/11/2015 Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, CA - There are few small parking lots, but all full of cars, and very difficult to find a spot. It was foggy and sun is not right place to take photo, but no choice.

10/10/2015 Point Reyes National Seashore, CA - The Point Reyes Lighthouse is 302 steps down to get it after short distance hike from the parking lot. Chimney Rock is also hike for while to get it. Elephant Seal habitat, there are many seals on the beach to take afternoon nap.

10/9/2015 Pebble Beach Regional Park, CA - The trail to get from parking lot to the beach is runs between residential area, I felt strange feeling walk by many residential houses. There are actually pebbles in the beach. Nice ocean view from the beach.

10/9/2015 Shell Beach Regional Park, CA - I was expected there are many shells on the beach, I was wrong, there is no shells on the beach that was very dissapointed. There is sand beach and nice rocks near the cliff.

10/8/2015 Gualala Point Regional Park, CA - There is nice hiking trail from the campground to the Gualala Point, that include a bridge, pass under the highway, stairs and Russian celemonial place. California Bay trees are interesting, branches grow from near the grand level.

10/8/2015 Bowling Ball Beach, CA - I was there at high tide and bowling balls are under the water, 2nd photo, I have to wait 3 hrs to bowling balls to appear, 3rd photo, if I wait 1 1/2 hrs more I can walk between bowling balls. There are bowling ball arrays and wheel wagon, whih is wheel shapes rocks in the geological interest rock formation.

10/8/2015 Point Arena Lighthouse, CA - This place charges $7.50 for just go closer to the lighthouse, where they open gate at 10am, and I got there one hour earlier, I saved money. Around here ocean and cliff views are spectacler.

10/8/2015 Alder Creek - San Andreas Fault, CA - I was taking photo that the northern end of the Pacific Plate that 600 miles of CA coast, which is moving to north. Other side of land that called North America Plate that moves to west. Our land is constantly moving.

10/7/2015 Skunk Train, Fort Bragg, CA - I was just in time for 10am departure train ride, even I didn't know the train is running, how lucky I was. I enjoy 1hr train ride, they serve alcohol drink in the train, I enjoy that too.

10/6/2015 Glass Beach, Fort Bragg, CA - I was expected more romantic way to get to the glass on the beach but not, it was dump site for the town for years, and all kind glasses broken down and ocean wave round it out that we can see today. People are collecting it, why they dont' leave it, so that next visitors can enjoy it.

10/5/2015 MacKerricher State Park, CA - There are boadwalk to Laguna Point and wetland of the Lake Cleone, where wetland is all dry. There is 10 miles shore trail in this park, north to south. I saw three seals in distance. The Iceplant is just in time for color of red and yellow and between.

10/5/2015 One Log House, CA - It is located side of the highway #101. The house is 32 ft long and 7 ft diameter, and have a kitchen, 2 beds, living and dining area. It was eight months to hollowout.

10/5/2015 Drive Thru Tree, CA - It is about 3,000 years old tree and barely car can go through. I ca't drive because too narrow, so the owner of this place drive my car for me. There are tree houses for kids, and we can walk in.

10/4/2015 Ferndale, CA - This town is a hidden charm and has a history. The old buildings are about 1878 era. This population 1,400 agriculture community is famous for movies.

10/4/2015 North Jetty, Eureka, CA - It is north gate of between the Pacific Ocean and Humboldt Bay, the South Jetty is visible from the North Jetty. I had a good walk on the man-made bank for while till end of the North Jetty. There are fishermen and photographers waiting right moment at the North Jetty. I saw few surfers, who enjoy big waves.

10/4/2015 Trinidad, CA - The Trinidad Lighthouse has been destroyed by a storm and never re-build it, instead of they built a memorial lighthouse for safer place. There is a relativery new pier for fishing.

10/3/2015 Patrick's Point State Park, CA - Agate beach, there is no agate, maybe someone already took it, but I found pebble rocks. Sumeg Village that Yurok people who are smaller than me go through the circle entrance, buildings have no windown only one circle entrance. Celemonial Rock is steep stairs to get up to the top of the celemonial place.

10/3/2015 Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, CA - Many trees are large in size in this area. Seems to dry from Oregon to California coast, I don't know how to survive all those large trees without rain.

10/3/2015 Trees of Mystery, Klamath, CA - Extremely large man and cow at front of this place by the highway #101 that 16 miles south of Crescent City. There is a Sky Trail that take us to the top of the mountain and Pacific Ocean is visible from it.

10/3/2015 Crescent City, CA - Battery Point Lighthouse to get there that depending tides, if low tide, we can walk but not high tide. The Pebble Beach is a sand beach, no pebbles. Someone told me that summer wave bring sand and hide pebbles and winter wave remove sand and pebbles appear, so winter time is the best time to vist the Pebble Beach.

10/2/2015 Harris Beach, OR - Harris Beach and around is nice view by rocks in the sea and near the shore that makes beautiful scene. Many beaches are nice sand beach but too cold to swim and no one even sun bath on the beach

10/1/2015 Cape Blanco Lighthouse, OR - This place is just like a peninsular, the land sticking up in the sea, bothsides of the lighthouse, north and south, are beatiful beaches with some rocks in it. It is spectacular view from the lighthouse.
