7/31/2015 Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada - It is located south side of the large Harrions Lake, and popular place by hot springs and lake activities. It is my second visit to soak in the public pool.

7/30/2015 Kootney Lake, British Columbia, Canada - The lake is large in size and free ferry is available at north side of the lake, there are many large lumber trucks on the road and on the ferry too. It was nice 1/2 hr ride free ferry.

7/30/2015 Glass House, Sanca, British Columbia, Canada - This house has very nice lake view, the owner spent 2 years to built this house with 600,000 bottles, still family owned it and using this house for vacation. It is located East side of the Kooteney Lake by the highway 3A.

7/27/2015 Lussier River Hot Springs, BC, Canada - This wild hot springs is located near the Whiteswan Lake Provintial Park. When I got ther at 4 pm on Monday, there were so many people, see top row photos, however I got next day 8 am, no one there, bottom row photos. If no-one there, it is very nice hot springs.

7/27/2015 Fort Steele Heritage Town, BC, Canada - This is located highway 93 and 95, and fort and town are in one place to preserve the original condition. It was couple times in booming town by gold rush near by and silver, lead and coal near by, but after that town was declined.

7/27/2015 World Largest Truck, Sparwood, BC, Canada - It is located the visitor center of the town of the Sparwood. It is a large truck, when buy it cost about $5,000,000 and all parts are customer-made, which means not cheap.

7/27/2015 Frank Slide, Alberta, Canada - The highest mountain part is gone, see second photo from left. Year of 1903, rock slide destroyed parts of Frank Town and lost about 100 people. Geologist is expecting some more rock slide in future in this area.

7/26/2015 Blakiston Falls, Waterton Lake NP, Alberta, Canada (1.2 miles) - Two waterfalls overview points by the waterfalls. This is easy hike even small kid can enjoy this short hike. The trail is well maintained.

7/25/2015 Bartha Lake, Waterton Lake NP, Alberta, Canada (7.5 miles) - It is popularplace by so many people on the trail because beautiful waterfalls and lake views. There were many not only hikes, I heared many different laungages. The Bridal Veil Waterfall is the best in this hike.

7/24/2015 Crandell Lake, Waterton Lake NP, Alberta, Canada (2.6 miles) - My legs were very tired from last two days hikes, so that I picked easy hike today. The trail was not much different than other hike but it was shorter hike. There are two mountains that side by side at the Crandell Lake, nice lake.

7/23/2015 Crypt Lake, Waterton Lake NP, Alberta, Canada (11 miles) - Ride the boat to get to the trailhead. The boat capacity was 125 and ticket was sold out. Mountains and waterfalls views are enjoyable, addition to steep trail, radder to get up to go through the natural tunnel that was fun hike.

7/22/2015 Goat Lake, Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada (8.8 miles) - Weather was just perfect for hiking today. There are nice view of mountains, cascade waterfalls and pretty wildflowers were everywhere. The Goat Lake wonderful place to be.

7/22/2015 Waterton Lake National Park, Alberta, Canada - There was large forestfire in the Glacia National Park, Montana, and spreading very quickly. I was not planning to go to Canada but that only option I had at that time. It is my second visit to the Waterton Lake NP, and it is a beautiful place.

7/21/2015 Fort Benton, Montana - The town of Fort Benton is the birthplace of Montana. The river mile "0", zero, that located in the town. Many people start to flouting Missouri River from this mile zero point. Lewis and Clark were in this town more than onece. Full of history in this town.

7/20/2015 Eagle Creek, White Cliff, Montana (9 miles) - The Eagle Creek is the most beautiful part of the White Cliff that a ranger said. So that I got a permit from the land owner to hike to the Eagle Creek. I hiked mainly middle of the farmer field and suddenly white rocks showed up. It is beautiful white rock formation that match with Missouri River.

7/20/2015 Virgelle Ferry, Montana - It is a small ferry, only carry one or two cars, and short distance to cross the Missouri River. It is diesel-driven cable ferry operated by Chouteau County.

7/19/2015 Upper Missouri River Breaks, Montana - The Coal Banks Landing and Camping Site is a popular place to start or stop by from the canoeing or kayacking to campout. I saw a meetup group, YMCA group, high scool group and few indivisula groups. They will float on the Missouri River for least three days.

7/19/2015 White Cliff, Montana - White Cliff is a beautiful white rock formations and large area by the Missouri River. The best way to explore the White Cliff is ride a boat, canoe or kayac. Today I have hiked in the private property with owner's permission that a small portion of the White Cliff, but I really enjoyed it.

7/18/2015 Fort Assinniboine, Havre, MT - Havre pronouce like "habar". This place was necessary to built because settlers in the Montana Territory demanded greater protection from three different Indian tribes, and largest military fort in Montata at 1879. It was abandoned for while as a military fort, eventually became an agricultural experiment station.

7/18/2015 Beneath the Street, Havre, MT - It is underground community and in large scale, I have joined a tour but that show only the part of the entire community. Havre was a melting pot and prevalent of the races and racism. After established railroad, workers are mainly Chinese, started living in the beneath the street.

7/17/2015 Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs, Saco, MT - My second visit this place as well. Wha't a different when changed owner, before it was scary place to be, but it is fine spa looks like now, new owner renovated this place very nicely. I enjoy soaking in hot springs.

7/16/2015 Sleeping Buffalo Rock, Saco, MT - This is my second visit this place. There are two rocks, one is called Sleeping Buffalo Rock and smaller one called Medicine Rock. These rocks are sacred and better to stay in this place together, where Buffalo Rock was relocated to this final place.

7/17/2015 Writing Rock State Historic Site, ND - Two writing Rocks in the cage of small shed that located at the top of one of the hill. The Thuderbirds were sacred figure that the post said. The post figure of the petroglyphs and actual petroglyphs are different because petroglyphs are wornout.

7/16/2015 Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site, ND - It was busy fur trading post during 1830-1850. Employee of this place was up to 100 people and many guys were married with Indian women, because if can translate Indian and English/French languages, pay was 3 to 4 times more.

7/16/2015 Fort Buford State Historic Site, ND - This place has couple buildings left, which are over 100 years old fort buildings. I have a guided tour inside the buildings. The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is standing the junction of both rivers, Missouri and Yellowstone. The fort and Center are located very close each other.

7/15/2015 Scandinavian Heritage Park, Minot, ND - It is called the Gol Stave Church, it is full size Norway replica church without any nails and inside is empty space, where from outside there are 5th floor building. Dale Horse that 30ft Swedish bright red color horse. Also windmill, sauna and more in this area.

7/14/2015 Lake Sakakawea State Park, North Dakota - The Garrison Dam made this lake and it is highway 200 is run on it. It is a large lake and small scale of marine is in the state park and some beach for kids to cool down.

7/14/2015 Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site, ND - There are five villages in this area and about 3,000 people live there, one of the village called Awatixa Village that the Sakakawea and her fimily use to live. When Louis & Clark hired the French-Canadian trader Toussaint Charbonneau and wife Sakakawea came with him.

7/14/2015 Fort Mandan, Washburn, ND - This fort was reconstructed and relocated to current location. The original fort was burn out by fire and original location is under the water. Lewis & Clark and crews spend 1804-05 winter here with 40 people within 10 rooms.

7/14/2015 Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Washburn, ND - Display many items that related with Lewis and Clark expedition. Also they display the paintings by famous artists Swiss Watercolorist Karl Bodmer, 1833, and George Catline, 1832.

7/13/2015 Bismarck, North Dakoto - This town is located by the Missouri River. And trails are along the river to everyone to enjoy. There are beach by the river, and possible for the large river boat ride, when I was there it was closed, if you are heading there, check the schedule before, not open every day.

7/13/2015 North Dakota State Capitol, Bismarck, ND - After 1930 old state capitol burned out by fire, they choose the skyscraper rather than the dome. It is 18th floor building and highest floor is the observation deck, free of charge, and view is spectacular.

7/12/2015 North Dakota Heritage Center, Bismarck, North Dakota - Inside building is divided into 4 categories, each room has an excellent collection to show. Buidling is seems to new but build in 1981. Free admission. Interactive with video/TV monitors are everywhere and nicely display large scale of many items, this is a must see place in ND.

7/11/2015 Shadehill Reservoir, South Dakota - It is very dark blue water color reservoir. The lake shapes V, it is a popular place in summer for all kind water activities. I have hike up to the highest hill by the lake to see the best lake view from it.

7/10/2015 Blacktail Trail, Lemmon, South Dakota (7 miles) - This is a prairie trail with some hills and creeks. There are beautiful badlands appeared at time to time. It was just in time for all kind wildflowers to blooming, very enjoyable hiking trail.

7/10/2015 Petrofied Wood Park, Lemmon, South Dakota - There is a large sign to not miss it. The block is full of man-made pinnacle, castles and many more different shapes. Currently the city owns it and admission is free of charge, everyone enjoy walk-in.

7/9/2015 Lake Oahe, Pierre, South Dakota - The Oahe Dam creates the Lake Oahe and this large lake is a reservoir on the Missouri River and continue from South Dakota to North Dakota, and located north of the Big Bend Dam or Lake Shape.

7/9/2015 SD Cultural Heritage Center, Pierre, South Dakota - It is located near the SD State Capitol and opened 1989. The building is compact size but nicely displayed inside building. There are many sensors to light up and activate dvd or tv monitors when someone walkin.

7/9/2015 SD State Capitol, Pierre, South Dakota - State capitol building named "SOVTH DAKOTA" not South, Sovth, I thought it's funny. Later I learned that can't curved U, so accept V instead. The building was cost $1,000,000, current value is $58,000,000. First ladies minutua inauguration dressess are displayed 1st floor, where 2nd floor is the main floor.

7/8/2015 Big Bend Dam, Fort Thompson, South Dakota - The Big Bend Dam creates the Lake Shape on the Missouri River. The dam is a hydroelectric power plant that generates enough hydropower for 95,000 homes. From the lakeshore, we can not see the big bend of the river.

Wherever I go, this company forward my mails. I am equivalent to SD resident, by SD driver license and car plate. Living in the dream that the best thing.

7/5/2015 Madison Trail, South Dakota (10 miles) - The trail runs from town of Madison to the Lake Madison. The trail is all paved and cross highway few times. It is very nice trail but I didn't see many people enjoy there. Lake Madison was very windy and wavy water when I was there.

7/4/2015 Train Ride, Prairie Village, Madison, South Dakota - The train ride is 1.6 miles loop twice. First row 2 rightmost photos are the 1893 Chapel car "Emanuel" that stopped many towns to church, sunday school, wedding, baptisms and councelling. A paster traveled with the car.

7/4/2015 Prairie Village, Madison, SD - This place preserved many old buildings, which moved from original places that aound the town. Also, the Opera House is the playhouse, train ride, farmland and demonstrate how farmers do with using the large machinery once a year, many collecting items, and have a large campground.

7/3/2015 Lake Madison, Madison, South Dakota - This large lake is located southeast from the town of Madison. People are enjoy on the water activities except suimming. Because there is algae problem in the entire lake. The toxins that blue-green algae release can destroy fresh water ecosystems and can be dangerous for humans and other species.

7/2/2015 Madison, South Dakota - This suburban town has everything that citizen of town needed it, such as Dakota State University, Hospital, Court House, daycare for young and eldoraly, 2 State Parks, 10 city parks, lakes and of course many detail stores and restaurants.

7/1/2015 Lake Herman State Park, South Dakota - This state park is located couple miles west of the twon of Madison. The Lake Herman and Herman Pond are in the park and very well maintained trails surronding those. Historical Luce House and cemetery are located in the park.
