9/30/2011  Subway, Zion, UT (Meetup) - Top down subway route was tough that I heard, but Shin said that's more fun, I didn't know what his fun means until experienced it. We used the lope least three times to hand line down the cliffs and jump into the cold water pools many times. Fred said, it is addictive to go to the Subway, I hope not. The right most 1st & 6th rows three photos from the right were courtesy from Shin.

9/29/2011  Checkerboard Arch, Zion, UT (Meetup) - My GPS indicated only 3.8 miles, I felt more than that. First 3/4 of trail was no problem; however last quarter of the trail was very strenuous. We started about 1pm, the temperature was already pretty high that bites me; I was straggle to climb up to the saddle, second row first photo. The view of the rock formations was wonderful. Last photo courtesy by Shin.

9/27/2011  Cedar Breaks National Monument, UT - No Cedar Trees around here all we have Juniper Trees, a pioneer who named this place mixed up that the ranger said, also 'Breaks' means the bad/un-usable land. They already first day of snow on 9/21/11 for this winter season, see 1st row 2nd and 3rd pics are summer and winter. Just in time to see the gorgeous changed color of aspen trees.

9/25/2011  Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, UT (Meetup) - It was total 8.3 miles hike and half of this hike was in the river. It was the longest river hike for me, I have crossed river few times before but not this much long. The river water was not cold and feel comfortable to stay in the water, however some spots the river current was fast and strong, water pushed me to down stream, Dino helped me to go through.

9/24/2011  Awesome Chasm Backwards, UT (OHCOSU) - Outback means we don't hike on the trail that Art said, and he has proved it by bush hike and lot of scrambling the rocks all morning, whole 3 hrs of non trail hike. After the lunch, we came down the trail back to the parking, I know what Art will say 'Oh, that doesn't count'. Nice scrambling, nice view, nice weather, nice companies, what's asking more.

9/20/2011  Big Falls Above, NV (ABF) - Lot of dead/broken trees on the wash, we managed to hike on/around it. We couldn't believe that still lot of snow (old snow or glacier?) on the ground, we hiked top of it, which covered by the leaves and branches. Scrambling from bottom of the Big Falls to the top of the Big Falls area, then meadow showed up. We didn't stop there, we hiked up to the no name mountain.

9/16/2011  Mummy's Nose, NV (Meetup) - Lot of scrambling involved this trail but worth it. The view from the top was wonderful especially the Mummy's Chin, Mummy's Forehead were in front of us. I have learned that all those, nose, chin and forehead are the same route until the saddle. Also so many beautiful old Bristlecone were at the top of the mountain. The weather was just right, we can't ask for more.

9/12/2011  Deer Creek & Mormon Girls Camp, NV (ABF) - Today's highlight was the rope bridge in the Mormon Girls Camp, many people enjoyed to cross the rope bridge from one end to other end. This campground has much more attractions than any other campgrounds. The weather was nice sunny day but temperature was lower and cooler side, most people wear a light jacket at beginning of the hike.
