11/30/2010   Cave Canyon, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area , NV (Bureau of Land Management) - This trail is located on the Blue Diamond Hill across the highway from the Red Rock Visitor Center. This place has unique rock formation and can find fossils. The inside the large cave was warm and temperature is same all year around. We have to scramble up the dry waterfalls couple times.

11/27/2010   The Punchbowl, St George, UT (Outback Hiking Club of Southern Utah) - It is located northeast of the town of St George. We hiked on no trail and scrambling up and down to get to the destination, which the pole is standing. The view from this point was breath taking, it was short hike by timewise because Jeff, leader, hikes very fast, I bearly keep up with him.

11/26/2010   Cottonwood Wash, UT - On 11/24/10 we turn couter clockwise from the Lois' secret place. Today I hiked solo with clockwise from the Lois's secret place. It is a beautiful place by configuration and color of rocks, and weather was cooperated, I had a good hike.

11/25/2010   Anasazi Ruin, demolished pionia village and dinosaur track, Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, UT - It is interesting to visit all those sites in the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area

11/25/2010   Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, UT - The location is north of St George, it is popular place for the families, people can easily climb up on the rocks with fun and not much restictions. I was nervous at one place that use the rope to cross the canyon wall. This place has not only nice waterfalls and canyons, this place has dinosaur tracks, anasazi ruins and demolished pionia village.

11/24/2010   Cottonwood Wash, UT (Outback Hiking Club of Southern Utah) - This place I called "Another Wave", it is amazing rock formation and color just like "The Wave." The Lois' secret place is the tip of the iceberg, next place that Lois called "Far Valley" was another amazing place in large scale, can you see third row left picture that we were haveing a lunch break.

11/23/2010   Flying Monkey Mesa/Smith's Mesa, UT (Outback Hiking Club of Southern Utah) - This place calleld the Flying Monkey Mesa because they used to use a monkey for the seat ejection test from the supersonic aviation, they no longer using any animals instead of using dummies. The test track rails are 12,000 feet, 2.27 miles, long seamless one piece each and cost of the ejection seat is up to $250,000. 11/22/2010   Bootlog Canyon, Boulder City, NV (Chris Dempsey Group) - It is located west side of the Boulder City and popular place for the moutain bikers and many bike trails. The view from the peaks are very rewarding.

11/20/2010   Arizona Hot Springs, AZ (Lake Mead National Park Service) - The Arizona Hot Springs is located about couple miles south of the Liberty Bell Arch. We hiked on the white rock canyon trail, the strange thing was both side of the canyon walls are rustic color not white but white rocks are on the canyon bed and white rocks do not belong to here.  It is very popular place by large number of visitors that include hikers, backpackers and kayakers. There are four cascade hot springs pools that the man-made dams created by sand bags and temperature is higher pool is the hottest.

11/18/2010   Sunrise Mountain, NV (Attempt) - It is located east side of Las Vegas and north side of the Frenchman Mountain. I thought easy to find the trail to get to the Sunrise Mountain, but after the Natural Arch, there are few washes merged and many 4WD roads, and couldn't find the trail to get to the summit, even I don't know which is the summit, two right photos.   I will try again at some other time.

11/17/2010   Liberty Bell Arch, NV - First time drive my car on the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge that opened recently, seems to ordinary bridge by driver's eyes, which is 890 ft above the Colorado River and 2nd highest bridge in USA.  The Liberty Bell Arch is free standing arch that located few miles south of the bridge, a group of the bighorn sheep on the third row second from right photo

11/13/2010   Lake Mead NRA, NV - I have visited north side of the Lake Mead that include the Redstone, Echo Bay, Rogers Spring, Blue Point Spring, Stewarts Point and St Thomas.  St Thomas Ghost Town was beneath the water for about 60 years and it appeared when water level went more than 70 ft below the maximum capacity, otherwise it is under the water and popular place for the scuba drivers.

11/11/2010   Black Velvet Canyon, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, NV (Around the Bend Friends) - The canyon is located at the west of Las Vegas and north side of the Black Velvet Peak, the north side of the Black Velvet Peak is the straight up wall that is a popular place for the rock climbers, if you have good eyes, there are few rock climbers on the wall at second row third photos from left

11/9/2010   Frenchman Mountain, NV - Hiked three peaks in one day, it located at east side of Las Vegas, entire town of the Las Vegas view is stanning, both south peaks are fenced out at the top of the summits, the wooden triangle shape tower is standing on the north peak summit, I was witness to how a truck climb up the steep narrow zig-zag slope

11/6/2010   Lake Mead Boat Tour, NV - The water level of the Lake Mead is way low about 150 ft below the maximun capacity of 1,229ft, which very close to the critical shortage leve of 1,075ft
